ok, another question.  last year i let a neighbor borrow my GG season 7, and they ended up not returning disc 1.  i keep trying to get it back, but the girl who has it is such a flake!  does anybody know where i could get my hands on a single disc of GG instead of buying season 7 all over again??

I'm not sure about everywhere, but at the video stores by me you can rent just one disc of a series season at a time.  Maybe you can get just the one disc from them.  If not, you can do what I did to get the DVD of 'Dill Scallion'.  I rented it from the video store and told them that I lost it.  Sure, I had to pay for it, I knew that I would, but I have it in my LG collection now.  Hope you can find it.

I have a question.  In Season 5 Episode 13:  Wedding Bell Blues, at the reception when Lorelai and Luke are dancing and they start dancing a slow dance, I think to Moon River,  Luke says something like ' That's better, much less spazzy'.  Every time I see it on TV, I hear it but on my DVDs they show it, but the should is taken out.  It is like that on the individual season 5 set and also on my box set.  Does any one else have that problem?

The 'should' is cut out? Huh?
If the line is cut out, it could be because the term 'spazz' derives from a derogatory term for people with multiple sclerosis because they don't have good control of their muscles.  I think it was used more in England and Europe than America, so while they could get away with  it for US TV the DVD's which can be shipped all over the world thye may have needed to cut it.
It's the same with the 'friggin' Flo' Jo' ' line in the first ep. It's cut when screened in places where the meaning of the word 'frigging' is known.

Opps, my bad.  I meant to say "the SOUND is taken out.  I guess I should proof read.  What I don't understand is that there are things that were said in the original showing of the show that are omitted from the reruns even though the scene is shown (like "a dime bag" and that "France was pissed", but the scene and the words are still there in the reruns, but not on the DVDs that have everything else all in tact.  I'm just wondering if by some fluke it is only on my two sets or is it like that on everyone elses.  I do have the 'friggin Flo' Jo' one still on my DVDs as well as everything else.  That scene "f FJ) is cut from the reruns, but every episode has somethings taken out of them to make up for the extra commercials that are added to help pay for everything since the cost to air a commercial is less during the reruns than it was for when the shows were first aired.  Everyone talks about having the DVDs, but don't seem to know if the sound for that one line is omitted from their DVDs or not.  I am really curious.

Hey there! If this question has been asked, I'm sorry for re-asking...I was talking with someone the other day, and they told me they were watching a Gilmore Girls marathon on ABC Family, and that before it started there was a special interview with Lauren and Alexis, and they said there will be a Season 8 where Rory comes back to Stars Hollow, is this true??

No, that was a 2004 special with the cast about the show w/ Brooke Burke which was a break between the last episode of Season 6 and the premiere of the 7th and final season.

There is no Season 8 coming at all.  The show, unfortunately, is over.  It's just that it was the premiere of ABC Family showing the 7th Season for the first time in syndication after a 2-year negotiation thing.

I have a GG question.  In the begining of the series, there was a wall where the archway between the foyer and the livingroom is in later shows.  There was a piano along that wall.  Does anyone know what episode that wall disappeared and they put the archway in?  I am thinking about it when they start all over with the first season and try to stay focused on trying to find out, but I never manage to actually catch in which episode the archway first appears.

I also try to catch the first episode where Lorelai's painted metal frame headboard for her bed appears.  She starts out with a wood headboard.

I believe it disappeared around the 4th or 5th episode.  Very very early on in the first season.  I am planning on doing another marathon (watching all the seasons starting with the first) very soon.  So I can check to make sure but as I recall it disappears after the first disc in the DVD box set

Thanks, I would appreciate another set of eyes looking out for this.

I have been getting that feeling of wanting to start from the beginning again, too.  Right now on ABC Family, they are close to the end of season six and on Soap Net they are at the end of season 4.  If I do start with season 1 on DVD, I will try again to watch for these.  I always get caught up with the show and forget to watch for them, but I am really curious.

It is really so dead around here that I hope it doesn't matter that I am double posting.

I am a bit baffled by something from Gilmore Girls.  Well, there is really a lot that I am baffled about, but I somehow just picked up on this one.

In The Real Paul Anka Mrs. Kim goes to Lorelai and asks her if she will alter her wedding dress for Lane.  She says that she wore it at her wedding 28 years ago.  Then in I Get A Sidekick Out of You Mrs. Kim is giving Lane the wedding night speech and says that hopefully Lane will only have to "do it" once just like she did.  Okay, here is the baffling part.  Is Lane suppose to be 28 (yeah, I know she is the same age as Rory) or did she wait several years before she "did it"?  I know that really it is just another one of the many mistakes in the writing, but I thought it was funny.

Also, in Super Cool Party People, Sookie tells Lorelai that some guy by the name of Trevor Fink ate her Chocolate Fudge Bonnie Bell Lip Smacker.  Then in Bon Voyage Lane tells Rory that her first kiss was with Billy Fink and not Dave.  The writers must like the last name Fink.

I have seen all of the episodes so many times and yet I am still seeing and hearing new things all of the time.  Fun.

I would freak out if that happened to me.  I don't think that I would ever let my GG DVD's leave my house.  Well, probably not any DVD's of mine.  I let my daughter borrow a movie once and was freaking out before the one week period that I gave her was up.  When she went over the week I called her and demanded that she bring it back even though she hadn't watched it yet.  Told her if she wanted to watch anything of mine in the future that she would have to come here to do so.  I am terrible that way.

That is okay, I do appreciate the offer to try to help me.  I will try to start watching season one ASAP.  If I don't get to them on DVD, season 7 just started on ABC Family so it won't be long before they are back to season one again.  When, if, I find the answer, I will come back here and let you know, too.

I do hope that you will be able to remember who it was you lent them to and that you are able to get them back soon.
