Yeah, that is cool even if she only has a few lines right in the beginning.  It probably will drop next weekend because the two 'Toy Story' movies are coming to theaters then and I am sure they will take top billing.  I doubt if I will go see  'Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs', but I will buy it when it comes out on DVD.  Speaking of DVD's, 'The Answer Man' is coming out of DVD on Nov. 3rd.  I haven't seen yet if it will have any extras, but I am guess that it won't.  I have already seen it more times then I can remember, but I will buy it when it comes out.

I think both Keiko and Milo both saw each other and probably chatted a bit.  I think Milo wishes GG is still around because I'm thinking playing Peter Petrelli must suck.  Jess Mariano was far more interesting.  I'm sure off the set, Milo and Lauren must've been cool to each other since Jess and Lorelai never really clicked.

Do you think it would be weird that if Scott Patterson and David Sutcliffe were drinking buddies or something off the set?

Heroes started out great, fell into the toilet after the AWES0ME 1st season.

I tuned out after the 3rd season premiere.

On October 2nd, Lauren was spotted outside Chateau Marmont in LA.  She was with a guy who looked like he was carrying a script.  There is a video of them.  In part of the video, Lauren is waiting in his car until her car is brought to her.  I hope that they were discussing a new project for her.

Here is the video of them.  Unfortunately there is no audio of the two of them.  It is just nice to finally see her again.

EDIT:  I don't know if one has anything to do with the other, but I was reading that Lauren and NBC are in talks regarding her being the replacement for Maura Tierney in the TV show "Parenthood".  The Pilot was picked up, but the show had to be put on hold because Maura is now being treated for breast cancer and has now back out of the show.  They were concidering Helen Hunt for the part, but she is no longer in the running for it.  I hope that Lauren does get the part.  I really think that she would be perfect in the role.  It will again put her in the role of a single parent.  This time of a daughter played by Mae Whitman, who I love and a son.  I think it is going to be an hour show.  There are a lot of great actors attached to it and it is now expected to be a mid-season show so that if Lauren does get/accept the part, we can expect to see her on our TV sets come January.  I would consider that a great birthday gift.  My fingers are crossed that this actually comes to be and that it isn't just another cruel rumor.  I am wondering if this is what she might have been talking over when she was at Chateau Marmont with the guy above.

EDIT:  It has been confirmed that Lauren HAS signed on to replace Maura Tierney in "Parenthood".  It is going to be so great seeing her back on TV on a weekly basis in something new.  I am so excited.  Unfortunately we are going to have to wait until February to see her since the Olympics are going to be on NBC so they will have to wait until they are over before they can air the NBC mid-season shows.  Oh well, we know she is coming back.  YEAH!!!!!

Wow, that's a great news!!! Thanks Cherilee for sharing.  :) I don't know anything about Parenthood. I don't like the title but i am still hoping it will be a good show. It will be great to see Lauren on TV again although a little hard to see her parenting someone other than Rory.

I saw the movie, which stars Steve Martin and a lot of other great people, years ago and really liked it.  The TV show is going to be based on the movie, which was a comedy, and yet not be exactly like it.  The names of the characters have all been changed for the show and it, so far, is classified as a dramady.  The show is about the ups and downs of parenthood, hence the title.  As much as I still love to watch GG, I never have a problem with thinking of Lauren as "Lorelai"  when I see her in other roles.  She is so good that she just pulls me into seeing her as who she is playing at the time.  I am really so excited to see what she can do with this role.  I like how Maura portraided (sp) 'Sarah' in the clip and I am sure that I will love Lauren playing her, but I know that it will be different.  These two women are really great and a lot alike yet still different.  I think it is funny how the paths of these two women keep passing.  Lauren actually was in the running for the part that Maura played in NewsRadio, but had other commitments and couldn't make it for the final auditions.  I liked that she did get to do a couple of episodes of that show, anyway.

Aw, I would have liked to see what USA Today had to say about it.

Yay!, yes we are finally going to see her on TV again.  I know that she had wanted to do something more on Broadway before she came back to TV and I hope that some day soon she will be able to again, but I never got to see her in "Guys and Dolls"  and I am sure that I wwill never be able to see her in anything else there so I am really happy that she will be on TV where I and all of her other fans who didn't get to see her on Broadway can finally see her again.  I am sure that all who did get to see her there are also glad that she will be on TV again.

Any idea on what character Lauren will be playing in relation to the film?

I remember that film and liked it a lot.  I think a young Joaquin Phoenix was in that as Dianne Weist's smut-obsessed son and Keanu Reeves as her idiot son-in-law.  Of course, I do remember that hilarious scene with Mary Steenburgen trying to calm Steve Martin down in the car.  And let's not forget the douche that was Tom Hulce's character.  Oh!  The Jason Robards character could be played by Edward Herrmann unless Craig T. Nelson has that part or something.

That is funny that you mention those  parts because Lauren will be playing the movie equivelent to Dianne Weist's, Helen, but her name will be Sarah Braverman.  Her daughter, Amber in the TV show, will be played by Mae Whitman (whom I love) and her son, Drew in the show, will be played by Miles Heizer (not sure if I have ever seen him in anything else).  I'm not sure if the Keanu Reeves part will be in the TV show other than in the pilot episode.  From what I have heard and seen, I don't think that the TV show will be all that much like the movie, just lightly based on it.  That would kind of be funny if Ed Herrmann did do the Jason Robards character and yet really weird because he would be playing Lauren's dad again.  I like Craig T. Nelson and think that he is better for the part.  Bonnie Bedelia will be playing the mother in the show.

You can get a list of who is playing who and a little more infor about the show here    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1416765/    Maura's name is still listed for the part of Sarah.  As far as I know, everyone who did the original pilot, is still under contract for the show.  The pilot scenes with Maura in them will be the only scenes that will be reshot with Lauren doing the part.  Shooting starts mid November

There is a clip of the pilot with Maura in it.  I will try to track it down and bring it here.

Lauren as the Dianne Weist character... wow.  I recalled the character to be a little uptight and soft spoken.  The only time I saw Lauren as a bit uptight was in Seeing Other People.  Awful film but she was pretty good in it along with Josh Charles.

And I remember Weist's characters gets a new boyfriend at the end of the film.  Do you think it's too late for a Scott Patterson cameo as an ex-boyfriend?

I really don't think that Lauren's character will be much like Dianne's.  I can't see her like that.  Yeah, I liked Lauren in Seeing Other People, too.  I have seen the movie so many times that I am a bit tired of the whole thing, but I do watch it and just skip to Lauren's parts as well as so of the other parts that I like most.

I don't think that there is much of a chance for Scott to show up in it.  I don't think that I would like that anyway.  Have to just move on.

Here is the trailer for the TV show with Maura still as Sarah.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v-5vCDj0tsEp0

here are the sides for the pilot is you are interested   http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CQC6Y4XX    there are some f-bombs in it so I am wondering if it had be hoped to be on HBO, Showtime or such.  I am sure that they won't be in the show now.

For anyone who wants to watch the orig. movie without having to rent it, you can watch it here, but it is in 13 parts.

I'm going to double check to make sure these are right.  Well, the movie does work, but I am going to have to go back and check on the other two.  Sorry.

At least this board will now be busier than ever.  We have something to look forward to.  And hopefully, the Gilmore Girls movie.

It should start out the same way Serenity started in introducing the main cast, Mal being upset that his ship is falling apart and we see nearly every main cast member.

Yes, with Lauren being on another TV show, it will be busier than ever, or at least since GG, here.  I hope.

Off hand I don't know what Serenity is.

Did you try any of those links I posted?  If so, did they work for you?

I didn't go to any of those links.  Plus, Youtube is what slowed my comp down for a while and I don't go there anymore.

Serenity is a feature film spin-off of Joss Whedon's widely-underrated TV sci-fi show Firefly that only lasted a season but remains a cult favorite.  Starring Nathan Fillion as Malcolm Reynolds.  The hot Han Solo type in tight brown pants.

I'm only doing this to prevent you from double-posting.

isn't this the 2nd attempt at a series based on that movie?
