No, it wasn't a re-run.  It was short as always, but okay.  Looked fabulous in a black short shorts jumpsuit.  Wow, the legs and the eyes.  She talked about The Answer Man and she even sang a few lines with Jimmy.

The View was okay. She was on with Jeff Daniels. John Hindman (writer/director) was in the audience and they talked to him, too.

Kate, that actually sounds kind of cool.  Were the body guards there to help you up if you fell?  When did you do this?

To add to the list of things Lauren has been doing, The premiere for TAM was thursday (16th) in New York.  All I saw was cinema 2.  Don't know if that is the name of the theater or not.  She wore the same outfit there that she wore to the Jimmy Fallon show.

I saw her on Conan last night and realized it wasn't a re-run.  Wow... Luke Danes would definitely have his mouth hanging if he saw those legs.

Wow... I never knew that song was a Kenny Rogers/Sheena Easton duet.  I always hear the Bob Seger version.  Yet, I can't take Jimmy Fallon seriously because he is always too excited and smiles way too much.  Lauren wore that thing for the Jonas Brothers.  I don't think Lorelai would go for the Jonas Brothers.  She and Rory would mock them along with Lane.

I agree about the View though I was surprised that the director is a fan of the show.  If he can get another movie going.  Could we get some GG cast members involved in the next project?

I still would choose an eternity in hell than watch anything Michael Bay did from Armageddon through so forth.

I find his film work offensive and soulless.

Can you imagine a Gilmore Girls episode directed by him?  Flashy cinematography, 5-10 second edits, the camera not staying still but fast all the time.  Lots of shouting.  Explosions and no idea what is going on.  Ugh.  he shot a scene from the viewpoint of a bomb.  That's distasteful.

That show could've been directed by top names.  I mean, they did have Nicole Holofcener direct Secret & Loans, Kenny Ortega directing a few classics, and Jamie Babbit doing several.  A lot of which were great.  A GG episode directed by Peter Bogdonavich, Noah Baumbach, or someone that can work with actors very well and can tell a story.

I can see Lauren in a Baumbach film.  Maybe one of his earlier ones like Kicking & Screaming or Mr. Jealousy.  They always had great characters.

I HATE Michael Bay. he's a complete T00L.

LG looked gorgeous on Jimmy Fallon, but she seemed very nervous or pumped up on caffeine.  She needs to calm down a bit on talk shows.  I don't view her as ditzy, but some people do and when she doesn't finish a thought or is all over the map, it validates the ditzy reputation.

I have seen her on shows were she gets her point across and is still funny without being ditzy.

I don't know he has his place. ;)

If he wasn't making c&#p like 'Transformers' he'd be out in the world and we wouldn't know what he was up to and would you really want to risk that?

Does anyone have Entertainment Weekly w/ T.R. Knight on the cover?

On the last page, there's a new pic of Lauren with Alexis Bledel with a caption that reads (from what I can remember):  "Gilmore Girls reunite.  Yay!  No movie... Boo!!!"

Yes, I have it and saw that.  There is also a little piece about The Answer Man in it, too.  There is also a little piece about TAM in that weeks People.

There are more pictures of Lauren and Alexis at the NY premiere of TAM here   http://www.lauren-online.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=7&pos=2

So I'm guessing that even though the show is over.  These appearances with cast members is just go to show that there's no beef with anyone.  So I'm guessing we'll be having ocassional reunion appearances every now and then for the next few years.  I could live with that.  Just as long as there's some pics of Scott Patterson at a screening for a film starring Lauren or Alexis or Alexis seen with Kieko Agena and Liza Weil at some event just chilling.

Some of the people did leave the show still friends.  Kelly and Lauren see each other from time to time, as a matter of fact, they were just at Barrio Chino in NY yesterday having lunch.  I think that they have the best friendship that came out of the show.  Plus they are both interested in doing theater.  Ed and Lauren have seen each other a few times at least at premieres and Alexis and Lauren do still keep in touch and both are in NY now from what I have been reading.  I don't know about the rest of the cast.  It would really be nice to see or read about more get togethers from time to time.  I don't really follow the rest of the cast much so I don't hear too much about them.  I know that Keiko and Milo were both just recently at Comic Con in California (San Diego, I think).  Don't know if they saw each other or not, though.

I think both Keiko and Milo both saw each other and probably chatted a bit.  I think Milo wishes GG is still around because I'm thinking playing Peter Petrelli must suck.  Jess Mariano was far more interesting.  I'm sure off the set, Milo and Lauren must've been cool to each other since Jess and Lorelai never really clicked.

Do you think it would be weird that if Scott Patterson and David Sutcliffe were drinking buddies or something off the set?

Scott and David seem too different to ever be buddies so I don't see them hanging around together.

I don't know, I think that playing Peter Petrelli would be a more exciting role than to play Jess.  I never really watched the show that much because I am usually doing something else while I am watching a show and I would lose a lot especially with the sub titles in parts.  It is a really quick paced show and I think Milo would like that more.  Plus he is really into all that sci fi stuff.

I hope that Keiko and Milo did see each other there, but I'm not going to speculate on that.

As far as I can tell, Lauren has done the voice of Fran Lockwood in the movie "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" that will be in theaters starting September 18th.  I remember reading the book to my kids when they were little, but I don't remember who Fran is, maybe the mom of the main character.  That would be about right since she is playing the mom in so many movies lately.

She will also be on a repeat showing of Jimmy Fallon's show on August 26th at 12:37 am EST.

Ok... I'm only writing to avoid a double-post.  I'm not sure I'll see that film.  I just saw Inglourious Basterds (sorry Alexis) and had a hell of a time watching it.

I think this film would do OK but the news that Post-Grad tanked at the box office with some lukewarm reviews worries me a bit.

Yet at the same time, as much as I would want a Gilmore Girls movie.  I think we, the fans, should wait a bit more.

So now, I'm just watching the re-runs on ABC Family and have a good time with it while figure out what show to review next.

ULGH!!  I really want some news about a new project for Lauren.  I miss her.  We go from hearing something new just about everyday for about  8 months and then nothing.  There have been sightings of her from time to time in NY but that is all.  I hope that she has something in the works that will bring her back to us soon.

The only real news out there related to her is that she is in the #1 movie for 2 weeks now for her brief voice appearance in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
