Well, not surprised, but the Scrubs thing isn't going to happen.  Wonder what will be next on Lauren's agenda.

thevoid, I will get back to you, but I don't have much time right now.

EDIT:  Lauren and Jeff Daniels are going to be on The View on July 17 to promote "The Answer Man".   Hopefully this means that it
will be going to more theaters than what was originally planned.  We can hope, right?

She is still scheduled to be at Broadway Barks on July 11th.  Hopefully we will get pictures.  Still doing that hoping thing.

Lauren was at a birthday party for Busy Phillips on June 25th or 26th in Palm Springs, CA.  She was there with Matthew Perry.

I hope it comes nearby.  I'm waiting for something good to come out.  This hasn't been a very good year for me in terms of films.  I've only seen 3 new films this year.  Up, The Brothers Bloom, and Watchmen, the last of which was a bit disappointing.

Oh, did you get this Sunday's Parade magazine?  There's an article about Lauren in relation to her upcoming role in The Answer Man.

I don't get Parade in my paper, but I did pick the article up on line.  It was a nice article.

If you go here, you can get 45 minutes of an hour long interview she had on the 9th for Broadway Chatterbox.  It is really great.  She also sings the Reprise to Adelaide's Lament

I am so out of the Lauren Loop.
Wow, that sounds like a porn.
Or is that just me? Maybe just me.

Wait a minute?  Lauren used to be the dog mascot for the 1994 FIFA World Cup?

Holy sh*t!!!!  That must've been humilating.  To be inside a dog costume for all of that Los Angeles heat and in other places for the entirety of the World Cup.  And six years later, she became Lorelai Gilmore.

Wow... I wonder what would've been the reaction from her castmates if they were in character.

Hi Kate ~ do you mean the Broadway Chatterbox?   It was just a sit down interview and then she sang the one song from Guys and Dolls.  I've missed you.  I'll get an email out to you real soon.

Lauren didn't show up to Broadway Barks (the pet adoption thing at Shubert Alley in New York) which took place on the 11th.

She was at the Steven Scher Memorial Scholarship for Aspiring Restaurateurs Benefit at the Bowrey Hotel in New York on the 13th looking really pretty.
Pictures here  http://lauren-online.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?albus=261

Man, it isn't working for me right now and I know that it is right.  Well, just go to the lauren-online.net site and it is right there, just click on the picture and it will take you to all four pics.

Yeah she was.  Well, actually there was another girl who she traded off with and she had to get into the hot sweaty costume after the other girl was in it.  That was more gross than humiliating, at least that's what it seems like listening to Lauren talk about it.

Oh man, that must've been gross unless someone else wore another version of the costume.  All those sweat glands, ew!!!!  Yet, could you see Lauren actually kick a football (American translation:  soccer ball)?

There's no way Lorelai Gilmore could do it.

If there's one thing we learn about Lorelai and Rory.  They suck at sports.

I quote what Luke says in Virtual episode 9.19:  "You Gilmore girls are hopeless when it comes to sports."

Costumes are yuck in general. I was Spongebob for the better part of a year, so hot and sweaty and yuck. No one can see you crying inside the suit though, mourning the death of your dignity. And the guy who places Bollo in the Mighty Boosh can apparently pour sweat out of his shoes after a day of shooting.
Ouch.

Hmm, Cheri hun, can you give me a cliffnote's version of what's been going on in Lauren-land since I got drunk and lost my way back to it?

Yikes, I guess I can give it a try.  Don't remember when you were last here off had.  Well, here goes.

Was in Guys and Dolls at the Nederlander Theatre in New York.  Rehearsals started Dec. 15.  Previews started Feb 5. and Opening Night was March 1.  It was suppose to run until the end of September but the numbers weren't that good and it closed after the show on June 14.

There are some links, if you go back, that will show different things from the show.  Some audio, some video and some pictures.  Just look for the blue print for the links.

Did a pre-Tony Award Concert where she (Miss Adelaide) and Kate Jennings Grant (Sarah Brown) sang 'Marry The Man Today'.

Was a presenter at the Tony Awards.  Well, actually she and Oliver Platt announced the rest of the cast of 'Guys and Dolls' which was up for two awards.  They sang 'Sit Down Your Rockin' the Boat'

She took off three actual show days each of two weeks in April to go back to LA to shoot a pilot. Was called 'Let it Go' then 'The Bridget Show' then back to 'Let It Go'.  Sounded like it was going to be picked up as a mid season show but it ended up not getting picked up.  In the Chatterbox interview, it sounds like she wasn't really pleased with the pilot so was glad that it didn't get picked up.

Did a movie a while back with Jeff Daniels, Lou Taylor Pucci, Olivia Trilby and Kat Dennings which at the time was titled "The Dream of the Romans".  When it went to the Sundance Film Festival in January, the title changed to "Arlen Faber".  Everyone was there except Lauren because she was in rehearsals for "Guys and Dolls".  Now the movie is set to hit a limited number of theaters on July 24th and is now titled "The Answer Man".  It has been showing on Video ON Demand for a couple of weeks now for $9.99 (at least that is what I had to pay) and on the 22nd, it is going to be shown three times on HDNet for free.  Lauren was able to go to one of the film festivals in New York where they prepiered the movie.

There are pics of her at the Drama League Awards where  she was up for an award along with about 25 other people.  Geoffery Rush won.

Then there was the Broadway Chatterbox interview and then the thing at the Bowrey Hotel that I mentioned in the last few posts that I made.

That is all that I can think of right now.  I know there was more, but my poor tired brain won't let me think of anything else.
If I think of more, I will come back.  If anyone else can think of anything else, feel free to add to the list.

As far as I know by listening to Lauren talk about it, she and one other person had to share the costume.  It was like one hour in it then the other girl was in it for an hour and then they switched again.  I have only heard Lauren mention one day of it, but not really sure if that was it.

Kate, where did you have to be Spongebob at?  I never heard that story.  You've been holding back on the good stuff.  Ewwww, I wouldn't want to have to be in that guys costume after him.  That would be really gross.

Maybe Lorelai wouldn't be able to do it, but I am sure that Lauren could do it.  She did play sports in school.  Her dad was even her basketball coach in Middle School.

EDIT:  7/16   LAUREN WILL BE ON JIMMY FALLON'S SHOW TONIGHT AND THE VIEW TOMORROW.

Woah sounds like she's been a busy lil bee! Well, actually she'd be a ridiculously tall bee, if anything.
I hate the View, but Jimmy Fallon is coool, might try find it on La' youtube.

Yeah, there's lots of stories I'm holding out :P This is how I keep people's attntion. You don't ell 'em all up front :P
It was for Sky Tv, a promotional thing, so I went to the Spongebob premiere, Teddy Bear's Picnic, Easter show, all that kinda shenanigens, and then when the movie came out on DVD I went on a tour, which was actually sort of fun I had these three bodyguard guys to, bat off children and help me in and out of the suit and we got it down to a fine art, as much of an art as getting a massive yellow suit over a person can be
