Yikes, I guess I can give it a try. Don't remember when you were last here off had. Well, here goes.
Was in Guys and Dolls at the Nederlander Theatre in New York. Rehearsals started Dec. 15. Previews started Feb 5. and Opening Night was March 1. It was suppose to run until the end of September but the numbers weren't that good and it closed after the show on June 14.
There are some links, if you go back, that will show different things from the show. Some audio, some video and some pictures. Just look for the blue print for the links.
Did a pre-Tony Award Concert where she (Miss Adelaide) and Kate Jennings Grant (Sarah Brown) sang 'Marry The Man Today'.
Was a presenter at the Tony Awards. Well, actually she and Oliver Platt announced the rest of the cast of 'Guys and Dolls' which was up for two awards. They sang 'Sit Down Your Rockin' the Boat'
She took off three actual show days each of two weeks in April to go back to LA to shoot a pilot. Was called 'Let it Go' then 'The Bridget Show' then back to 'Let It Go'. Sounded like it was going to be picked up as a mid season show but it ended up not getting picked up. In the Chatterbox interview, it sounds like she wasn't really pleased with the pilot so was glad that it didn't get picked up.
Did a movie a while back with Jeff Daniels, Lou Taylor Pucci, Olivia Trilby and Kat Dennings which at the time was titled "The Dream of the Romans". When it went to the Sundance Film Festival in January, the title changed to "Arlen Faber". Everyone was there except Lauren because she was in rehearsals for "Guys and Dolls". Now the movie is set to hit a limited number of theaters on July 24th and is now titled "The Answer Man". It has been showing on Video ON Demand for a couple of weeks now for $9.99 (at least that is what I had to pay) and on the 22nd, it is going to be shown three times on HDNet for free. Lauren was able to go to one of the film festivals in New York where they prepiered the movie.
There are pics of her at the Drama League Awards where she was up for an award along with about 25 other people. Geoffery Rush won.
Then there was the Broadway Chatterbox interview and then the thing at the Bowrey Hotel that I mentioned in the last few posts that I made.
That is all that I can think of right now. I know there was more, but my poor tired brain won't let me think of anything else.
If I think of more, I will come back. If anyone else can think of anything else, feel free to add to the list.
As far as I know by listening to Lauren talk about it, she and one other person had to share the costume. It was like one hour in it then the other girl was in it for an hour and then they switched again. I have only heard Lauren mention one day of it, but not really sure if that was it.
Kate, where did you have to be Spongebob at? I never heard that story. You've been holding back on the good stuff. Ewwww, I wouldn't want to have to be in that guys costume after him. That would be really gross.
Maybe Lorelai wouldn't be able to do it, but I am sure that Lauren could do it. She did play sports in school. Her dad was even her basketball coach in Middle School.
EDIT: 7/16 LAUREN WILL BE ON JIMMY FALLON'S SHOW TONIGHT AND THE VIEW TOMORROW.
