I loved this episode too!I liked how they showed how similar rory and lorelai are.I was just wondering why they never brought up what Jess said in the last episode at all.?
I really think they needed to bring this up

When life hits you hard you need a good cry. I feel like I am Lorelai in a friday dinner and Emily is Emily.

I like the Luke/Loerlai connection at the end. I thought that is was really cute how he listened while Lorelai was having her "nervous breakdown." They had a moment there. And if you think about it, so did Rory and Dean. Rory basically did the same thing and cried on Dean's shoulder about school. This just goes to show that Loerlai and Rory are very similar in their thinking ways. They both went to the men that they felt comfortable being themselves around and expressing their emotions with. This episode proved that Rory and Lorelai are very similar.

I just had to post in the thread for this episode! I just finished watching it...AGAIN and felt different than I had before when watching it. I was excited and happy for both Rory and Lorelai this time! They got everything out of their system, they had a good cry, with men who mean something to them, who share something with them... Now they are ready to start anew and take the world on with both fists up! I love the emotion that the Gilmore Girls bring out, each and every time you watch an episode!

it was a nice parallel between Rory and Lorelai having a rough time. It was quite interesting to see Rory turn to Dean when she was down and out. A nice set up for the end of the season! It was really too bad that Lorelai and Rory never talked the entire episode.

I watched this episode again last night, and i have to say it never fails to make me cry... The scenes between Lorelai and Luke and Dean and Rory were so cute though. I have to say that there will always be a connection between the 4 of them,no matter what happens.

Love the Luke/Lorelai scene...it was so good.
And I agree, I liked Lauren's "crying" scene a lot better than Alexis'. Lauren created a lot more emotion, at least for me.
I do not like Trix at all.
I love the 'historic gum wrapper'. That part was funny.

I think Lauren pulls off emotional scenes better than Alexis does. They're both great though. Lauren jut has more experience since she's been around longer than Alexis. This eppy is great though, I love it.

Initially, excuse my English, but i'm french ! I love this episode because the relation Lorelai/Luke is more visible. And i've desire of crying when Luke holds Lorelai and tells her that she is not a failure. It's so beautiful.

It was hard watching Tom the contractor have to tell Sookie and Lorelai that he really needed to be paid. His character is funny, so sarcastaic and grumpy, but really a nice guy underneath.
I was so happy that Richard finally blew up at Trix. Emily was a riot, she was positively glowing - when she sent the maid back to the kitchen with the salads and them reminded Richard that they paid Trix back in two months. Classic. I love Kelly Bishop and Emily's character.
I have to say I was a little ticked at Sookie and her attitude. Yes, she has a baby, but lots of moms, have sleepless nights then have to get up and forge ahead anyway. Really it was not like Sookie.
It was frustrating that Lorelai and Rory couldn't hook up on the phone for just a minute. Its' hard when you're feeling snowed under and can't get a minute with the person that keeps you going.
I was a little concerned about the Rory and Dean being so close. But you can see that he really isn't over her. He's totally tuned in to her.
L/L -- Come on already, haven't we waited long enough. Scott/Luke did a great job really comforting. Rubbing Lorelai's shoulder and head. I agree with everyone that said that Lauren crys better than Alexis does.
Good episode.
