Oh those are really cute.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a Java Junkie, but I'm definently a Teacher's Pet second. Max and Lorelai had undeniable chemistry, a lot more than Christopher or Jason.

I always liked Max.  It was first a hold over from watching The 10th Kingdom.  Anyone remember Scott Cohen as Wolf?  But, I did like Max for himself.  He had sort of a different style from most other GG characters.  He could do quippy, but it wasn't the fast paced, snappy quippy.  I'd say it was more of a gentle kind of humor.  Smart, but without the bite.  I love the snappy humor, but Max's kind fit him.

As far as him and Lorelai, although I would put her chemistry with Christopher above and beyond any, I think if there was one relationship I wish would have worked differently it would be her and Max.  My favorite scene with the two of them was when Max was cooking dinner and not letting Lorelai help.  And, my favorite Max scene overall is when he was interviewed by Rory.

Ooh ooh I have two reasons.

1. Because he's closest to the phone.
2. Because he's a great cook.

I think Max is one of the best characters in the show. He doesn't really have serious faults. I like how strongly he believes in love, fate and poetry. How he talks about them as a whole. That makes him relate to Lorelai's magical side about the snow. He is so decent and forgiving, takes chances and follows his heart.
His first date with Lorelai is so amazing! The best tv- date ever. So spontaneous and full of magic.
I think he and Lorelai made a great couple. And i think if they had gotten married it would have worked so well. It's really sad to see Lorelai treats him as bad as she did. He deserved so much better.

Yay!!  Max Appreciation!! He and Lorelai were DEFINTIELY MFEO (Made For Each Other--Sleepless in Seattle reference).  Although I LOVED seeing her with Luke, how could anyone say Max and Lorelai were not perfect for each other??

I really loved those episodes of Max & Lorelai. I remember when i first watched "Cinnamon's Wake", i was so amazed by their dialogue. There was something there that was so undeniable. I wish we had seen more of them. He was really a perfect guy. Chris and Luke had their low moments but that never happened with Max. He really loved Lorelai. He was there for her and he never let her down.

I also like that he can talk so well. You can see clearly how deeply he means every word he says. I also like that he's not a person to bottle things inside: when he has something to say, he just goes and say it.

SIDNEY - I really agree with with you.  I really liked Max and thought that he was great for and with Lorelai.  I always wished that there would have been more with them.   The only thing was that everyone knew right from the start that they, the writers and ASP, wouldn't let anything really binding happen between Lorelai and Max because right from the pilot you could tell that Lorelai and Luke were meant to be together somewhere along the line.  I missed Max.  I am really liking that ABC Family is back to playing the first season.  Just saw Cinnamon's Wake the other day and can't wait to see Love and War and Snow.

I agree, too.  He has better communication skills than Luke or Christopher.  And he's not complicated!!

Wow, Love and War and Snow! I have watched that episode like a million time. Especially in this episode, you can see that there is magic between the two of them. He connects with Lorelai's side that no one else connected with: the way he talked about love, fate and poetry seemed like the way she talks about snow. He believes in these things and he is passionate about it. There is so much he puts in words while talking. You can sense how deep he is.

I also missed Max a lot and i was glad when he showed up in third season. I was even more glad that he didn't want to date Lorelai again. We don't want the whole Dean thing to be all over the place

Max was my favorite boyfriend of Lorelai's. I really wished they would of stayed together but since it was the first season...I think Lorelai and him got along really well.

Scott Cohen is filming a movie in New York right now with Natalie Portman called 'Love and Other Impossible Pursuits'.  You can go here to find out a little more about it and see some pictures.  http://www.gilmoregirlsnews.com/2008/11/21/scott-cohen-films-love-and-other-impossible-pursuits/#more-6505

I've heard about this film from the Portman site.  In fact, she replaced J-Lo from the film.  Thank God, J-Lo sucks.

It's directed by Don Roos who did The Opposite of Sex, Bounce, and my favorite, Happy Endings where I met Jesse Bradford at a screening 3 years ago.

It's likely to be a very good film because Roos writes very strong characters and such.  Oh I need to mention that Happy Endings also had David Sutcliffe as Steve Coogan's partner.
