i think alexis bledel is indeed a very classy actress who carries herself well and doesn't end up in the tabloids every time we turn around. her lack of trips to rehab and the fact that she still has all her hair makes her a refreshing actress to follow and watch. her portrayal of rory gilmore is very believable; she plays the part well and i have enjoyed watching both rory and alexis mature over the years gilmore girls was on the air. i think her movie career will do well-she did a good job in sisterhood of the traveling pants and will do well in whatever she pursues, just like rory does on the show.

I think Rory is a great character. Definally special. Although i do prefer her character in the early seasons. She is smart, has big dreams, really sweet and has a good sense of humar. Although i wasn't always with the changes the character went through but i think we should appreciate that her character became independant when she started Yale. She followed her heart and what she thought was right inspite of Lorelai's diapproval like dating Logan and becoming his girlfriend or even when she left Yale.

I think Alexis Bledel has done an out-standing job. Very natural!

I think the key word for Alexis in the early seasons was natural, as Sidney put it. In the season 1 episodes especially, she comes across as a real-to-life teenage girl, not a model playing a teenage girl, as so many actors come across on tv shows. She could be the girl who lives down your street. It's amazing to me that Alexis is several years older than Rory's age, because if anything she looks even younger than a 16 year old in the first season!

I think that Alexis is a very good actress too. She has pregressed very nicely over the years. When she first started Gilmore Girls, she was a new actress and that was her first acting gig. Later in the hsow, she became more familiar with everything and her acting got a lot better. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us in the near future

bingbong- I agree with you... she does look the age of the character she played throughout the whole series. And she is only about 2-3 years older than Rory.

Nothing. She was so eager to do anything except GG so she might as well...(yeah I'm still mad at her.)

I don't know why you are mad at Alexis. Both Alexis and Lauren were relieved when the show was over. It was time for them to move on, and it is time for the fans to do so too and accept their decision.  I'm getting more than a little cross at the way Alexis is being maligned by 'so called' fans.

However, it was the network who ultimately decided that there was to be no more Gilmore Girls. Yes, the network, not Alexis, not Lauren. I personally hope there will be a movie in the future, but if there isn't I wish both girls success and thanks for the years that they did give me Gilmore Girls.

Okay, I was pissed that day, so I took it out on this, but I still think she was a little too relieved. And yes, Lauren also in one point said it was a relief, it was something to do with the monkey lamp if I'm not mistaken, and how she doesn't have a clue what that is, but in later interviews she was very eager to do the movie, and seemed disappointed we didn't get the ending we all want. Also, I know they gave us 7 years, but I found it disappointing that she was so eager to move on, didn't even regret that maybe Rory's story was supposed to end differently. And also, this having nothing whatsoever to do with this matter, I don't really like Alexis. Maybe she's the best person ever, but to me she seems kind of stuck up. Don't try to prove differently, it's just a feeling I have about her.
