Rune was a pretty funny guy if ya ask me. He could throw those zingers at Lorelei with a perfectly straight face.  Those were some of the funniest lines in the show.  All these handsome guys falling all over Lorelei trying to be her guy and this little squint thnks she's "the East German maid or something". Cracked me up!

Yeah but Rune was a perfect counterpoint to the "sweet quirkiness" that everyone else in Stars Hollow has. Rune is like a dill pickle in a box of candy. He's not sweet, but the sourness is not untogether unpleasing. Ha ha ha...Rune.

rune is a prune. i didnt like him at all he was very mean, but i liked that he was in the show bcuz he made s&j's 1st date more interesting.
