Ohmygosh!!!  The board is back!!!!  I didn't realize it until now because I work nights and I've almost abandoned my e-mail because of it.

Ok, here's the 1-9 that is missing:

Reasons we love Luke:
1. 'Cause he ponders really slowly.
2. 'Cause he made Lorelai a Santa Burger.
3. 'Cause he let Jess live with him.
4. 'Cause he got refrigerator magnets shaped like sushi.
5. 'Cause he hates jam hands.
6. 'Cause he loves healthy food.
7. 'Cause Luke is our knight in shining armor (that was the name of the 5th thread)
8. 'Cause he has the coffee.
9. 'Cause he saw her face.


I could have sworn I rebuilt the titles to this thread, but I think several of the beginning ones were just Noddies #__.  I think I spent more time rebuilding the others.

Well, since we no longer have to worry about who makes it, it'll be ok because I still have the BBCode saved for the starter post.  I actually have one for the fashion thread I haven't finished reworking yet (the ONE thread I had a copy of that was in HTML instead of BBCode), but as soon as I get the time I'll put that one back up too. 

I've missed ooooooing and awwwwwing over Luke this summer.  With no FSC thread to make caps for I haven't really gone through the episodes and picked out any yummy Luke photos, but here's one I thought was cute.  Yeah, I like Luke with his face a little fuller and while the picture is funny I thought his smile was adorable.  What can I say, I like the simple things in life.

 ???I've seen almost all the episodes, but I'm unclear on Luke Danes back-story

I get the impression that although Luke was born/raised in StarsHollow,
he spent part of his adult years away somewhere.
since Lorelei/Rory have been living there for almost 21 years,
but Luke and Lorelei seem to have known each other for only about 8 years.

Also, who's Rachel?  That flew right by me.

According to Written in the Stars, Luke and Lorelai had known each other for eight years before they started dating. (They were discussing the first day they met, and he reveals that he's kept the "horoscope" in his wallet since that day, eight years before.)

Luke dated Rachel five or six years before the first season. She came back during the first season, and left again. Lorelai didn't know about Rachel when Rachel and Luke were dating, because she had presumably just met him, and had an 11 year old kid to worry about. (This is all explained in Concert Interruptus)

Yeah Luke's kinda a mystery to us all. The only thing we know is:
- his mom and dad lived in SH.
- Luke's mom died when he was little. How?...when?...how did he take it?....we have no idea!
- his dad had a hardware store Luke helped out in when his dad got sick.
- Luke turned his dad's store into the diner after he died....How the man died? When? How he took being alone? How he got the diner up?...again a mystery.
- his sister left when their dad was ill and she got married and had Jess.
- Luke was in a relationship with Rachel who had the tendency to leave without telling, around the time Lorelai showed up in SH.
- He was pining for Lorelai for about 10 years now since she walked into the diner.

(All the spoiler-people are pretty much thinking...10 years ago huh? Yeah that’s cutting it a little close, don't ya think? Ohh well it's just a show). 

But we have no idea how the man grew up or basically any detail about the guy. Don’t ya think it's about time we get to see what's been eating at Luke for all these years. Or at least that the man also has a past and he didn't came out of a pod or something.  Okay I’d like a ‘Dear Emily and Richard’ like episode.

In that episode we saw Lorelai have flashbacks....I want a Luke flashback or let the man talk about his past and what's buggin' him. But who is convincing as teen or kid Luke. I'm gonna LMAO watching some guy in a startrek T-shirt on a skateboard biggin' the crap out of Taylor. Also what is his deal with Taylor? We need details!      [/color]
