IMY, the person in the 1,2,3,4 video is Leslie Feist...or Feist. Not Jenny Lewis. Jenny Lewis has a few solo cd's out, but she is best known for being the lead singer of Rilo Kiley. Both Feist and Lewis, along with MANY others were/are with the band "broken social scene."

Lewis was actually never associated with BSS. She did some stuff with the Postal Service and Cursive, but I haven't heard anything about her and BSS. I knew Feist was, though.
Did yall ever see Troop Beverly Hills? Lewis was in that when she was a kid...and other movies, but that's the one that's always on tv. And also, did you know she's pregnant? I just found that out...unbelievable.

What??!!!! SHE was supposed to have my babies! Haha, umm, forget I said that. Yeah, I don't think she was with BSS. Feist is, and I know Emily Haines from Metric is...but not Jenny.

I like Christmas Music around Christmas time but a lot a really cheesy adn I wouldn't have them on my iPod! plus I really really really really really HATE the song 'All I want for Christmas' by Mariah Carey it just makes me wanna throw up![/color]
Every song by Mariah Carey makes me want to throw up! YAY! Go Jim!! lol I also love 'Winter Wonderland' and 'Santa Claus is coming to town' and I love 'I'm dreaming of a White Christmas' I also love Christmas Carols like 'Hark the Herald Angels sing' or um 'Once In Royal David's City' or 'Oh Little Town of Bethlehem' I also love the classic 'Away in a manger' I dunno why but I just love singing carols (I don't go door to door or anything) I just love the Christmas spirit!!
oh my gosh I saw The Postal Service being mentioned they're really good along with the lead singer's other band Death Cab for Cutie. I love the songs 'Someday You Will be Loved' (Death Cab) and 'Such Great Heights' (Postal)
I'm not a big fan of Feist really. That song is good at first but it gets really annoying especially when the girl in your class that you hate keeps singing it in a really annoying voice...sorry! lol

I love I Will Follow You Into The Dark even though it's fabulously depressing. One time I was at my cousin's house and she was burning a CD for her boyfriend and it had that song and she looked up the lyrics and it was the first itme I'd ever heard it. And I looked at the first couple of lines ("love of mine/someday you will die") and I was like, whoaaa. CHEERFUL. But I love it anyway.
Also right now I'm listening to a song on Pandora called "Sometimes in the Fall" by Phoenix and I really like it.

'plans' is a good album from DCFC, but I thought it seemed a little too polished. Does anyone else think so? It did not have the "edge" that some of their earlier albums had. My favorite would probably have to be 'transatlanticism,' with 'the photo album' coming in a close second. If you need some moody music that is absolutely fantastic, check out "The Cape May." They are soooo dark, it makes me happy if that makes any sense.

wow, you need to type slower, haha! You can look up the songs on your own if you would like. I highly recommend either Copper Tied...or Spring Flight to the Land of Fire

Okay, well I'm going to be game and put the link to the page where I have songs I've recorded. I'm not a marvellous singer but I try. I like making instrumentals too. If you're interested: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=764240I like 'Macrolepiota', the Rilo Kiley cover and 'Aquarium Isle'. EDIT: I just put up a new song. But most of you wouldn't have realised it anyway, since you probably haven't clicked the link yet.

Fact: If they don't want little children to get hooked on illegal downloading, they should stop making so many songs "album-only" on iTunes.

I am now the owner of tickets to a !!! (chk chk chk) concert. I'm going to the concert by myself since it seems no one I know knows who they are. I need to get friends with better music tastes.

I know who they are, but unfortunately I don't really like them. I have a theory. The more obsurd a band name is...the less I like them. But that's just me. I heard a comedian the other day on one of the XM channels and he was making fun of all these band names lately that are just numbers or exclamation points or random punctuation. It was hilarious! Examples would be Panic! At the Disco, Chk Chk Chk, just to name a few. Have fun! I am not trying to bash you, just saying that band names are odd these days.
Last weekend my g/f and I went to see Martin Sexton at a club here in Indy. It was awesome! I would definately go see him again. He was so full of energy, I am jealous!
