Wow, this has to have been one of the hardest nights in my house EVER. My little girl is devastated. However, I can't help but thank all of the cast of Gilmore Girls, because they made such an amazing show. I have watched every episode to date with my daughter. She was only 19 months old when the pilot aired. I have been hooked since. And, every Tuesday night, my daughter and I have watched Lorelai and Rory, and felt like we were part of a wonderful world in Stars Hollow, CT. There have been ups, downs, sideways, and backwards every week. Lauren Graham played Lorelai with a lot of class and for someone who isn't a single mother, she played her role to perfection. There are lots of hats to wear, and usually, most single mom's are "Livin' on a prayer, baby." i would love to be able to tell her how much it meant for me, as a single mother, to see a single mother on the tv that was actually someone like me. And for Alexis Bledel, I stand in heartfelt tribute, with humility and a great deal of thanks, for giving my daughter a hero on TV that makes me feel proud to be a Mom. My daughter wants to be just llike Rory, smart, funny, determined, a bookaholic, and a Yale graduate. Granted, the thought of the tution bill is terrifying because there aren't any Richard and Emily's in our family. Most people don't have them (at least not the income) but then again, we all do have them. Its a real family, nothing hidden. That is something to be proud of. This show should make all of the cast proud.
