I think what nearly brought tears to my eyes again was that last line.  "I hope they remember Lorelai Gilmore."  *tear*
That is so sad! I agree! I will never ever forget miz gilmore herself. I am gonna miss this so much it kills!

I'm really gonna miss those girls.. and I'm soo happy that for the final shot they are going to repeat something from the Pilot.. but I really wished they would have done the shot in the beginning of the pilot... you know the look of the town.. her begging for coffee.. rory coming in and getting hit on by a guy..

What happened between Scott and Lauren? I think the beggining of the last episode should have been the exact same as in the piolot like crayola said, then once they sit down, at the same time they say, "De Ja Vu!" and it cuts to "Where you Lead I will Follow" (then a year later a Gilmore Girl Movie comes out!!!!!)

AND THATS A WRAP!!!!!

What hurts the most, was being so close and having so much to say and seeing them walk away...

My secret, crazy wish is that one day there WILL be a Gilmore Girls movie penned and directed by Amy and Dan and that IT will contain the famous last four words.
"But this is America, where we unappologetically bastardize other countries' cultures in a gross quest for moral and military supremecy." ~ Lorelai Victoria Gilmore

Wow, this really answered a lot of questions.  I hope he does an interview with ASP soon after the finale.  I really want to know how she would have done it and what the last four words would have been.  I am glad they tried to mimic the opening scene from the pilot.  That is how it should end.

I think that is what they did, or tried to.

Great interview w/Lauren!! I'm glad that she did this to satisfy fans that were confused of what was going on. I understand that Lauren/Alexis are tired. Working 6-7 days a week on a show is alot but, in the end, it was a great show. I will miss GG!! I want to thank everyone for the fantastic job they have done to bring GG to us every week, especially the cast and crew that worked so hard to make this a successful show. One day they can all look back and say, "I'm proud to say that I was a part of the GG"!

I'm also glad that Lauren made a statement about Scott P. and how things were going there. She says that it was a "working relationship" and they had great chemistry together. I'm sure offscreen they are friends. I believe Scott has a steady girlfriend right now, but I think Lauren would be a good fit for him also. They are really cute together. What do you think? Just my thoughts.

No matter what, I'll always remember My Lorelai Gilmore. Even when she's 55, sitting at home, jobless and alone.

This whole show has been such a touching, heart warming, moving experience for me. It has changed me and my outlook on certain things in life. And for that, I'm greatful. :)

It's sad that it has to end, I will truely miss it.
However, it'll stay in my heart for the rest of my life.

But of course doesn't change the fact that we're really going to miss it!!

Oh my gosh! I'm so sad. I thought that there was going to be another season and my mom told me there wasn't and I started crying!!

This does help though. I can totally understand her being tired of doing the show, no matter how much I might want it back, I think it's time for GG to retire!

And I know people will always remember her and Lorelai Gilmore! Who could forget them? :)

Wow, this has to have been one of the hardest nights in my house EVER.  My little girl is devastated.  However, I can't help but thank all of the cast of Gilmore Girls, because they made such an amazing show.  I have watched every episode to date with my daughter.  She was only 19 months old when the pilot aired.  I have been hooked since.  And, every Tuesday night, my daughter and I have watched Lorelai and Rory, and felt like we were part of a wonderful world in Stars Hollow, CT.  There have been ups, downs, sideways, and backwards every week.  Lauren Graham played Lorelai with a lot of class and for someone who isn't a single mother, she played her role to perfection. There are lots of hats to wear, and usually, most single mom's are "Livin' on a prayer, baby."  i would love to be able to tell her how much it meant for me, as a single mother, to see a single mother on the tv that was actually someone like me.  And for Alexis Bledel, I stand in heartfelt tribute, with humility and a great deal of thanks, for giving my daughter a hero on TV that makes me feel proud to be a Mom.  My daughter wants to be just llike Rory, smart, funny, determined, a bookaholic, and a Yale graduate.  Granted, the thought of the tution bill is terrifying because there aren't any Richard and Emily's in our family.  Most people don't have them (at least not the income) but then again, we all do have them.  Its a real family, nothing hidden.  That  is something to be proud of.  This show should make all of the cast proud.
Today it is up to you to create the peacefulness you long for.
