I just had an idea...I don't know how to go about doing it, but I'm sure someone here does.  We have all been trying to keep track of how many daisies are sent, or snail mail, emails, ect, and to whom.....

Couldn't we make up a poll somewhere and then we all post when we send something??  Have different categories such as:

-Sent snail mail to Dawn
-Sent snail mail to Lauren
-Sent snail mail to Alexis
-Sent snail mail to ASP
-Sent daisies to Dawn
-Sent daisies to Lauren
-Sent daisies to Alexis
-left message on CW line
-Sent poster to XXXXXX.....

Well, you get my idea.  And then, we could start a new one each month and it would help us see what each other is doing as a group and as individuals.  What do you think?  Possible?  And is there someone who could organize/get it set up????

1) It's a wonder what a free trial of imdbPro will do.  I have more management team addresses (and phone numbers).  Both Lauren and Alexis's management teams listed are correct, but in Lauren's case, I think I found what should have been an obvious address:

Lauren Graham
c/o Good Game Entertainment
4000 Warner Blvd.
Bld. 34, Ste. 101
Burbank, CA  91522

From what I've been told, Good Game Entertainment is no longer on the Warner Bros. lot.  I would assume that a forwarding address is place, but that's probably not your best bet.  Again, just what I've been told.

~Heidi

Phone number for Good Game is the same, though, 1-818-954-3414 (I called it late last night and got their machine), so maybe you can call and get the new address, then Heather?

  -- Rob

I'm also fairly certain that's not their number.  If you call during normal business hours someone will answer, but (if my memory serves) it's now for something medical related.

As for the website, I have someone who could do that - starting immediately ...

That would be amazing! Having a website with basic information about the G8M and instructions on what to do is, in my opinion, the best way to get more people to participate.
As much as I love this thread it is sort of confusing and it's hard to keep track of new (and old) projects. A website would be much easier, more concise and would catch more attention!

As I said recently, this is something I've already started working on.  I hope to have something to show soon, but I want to make sure it's done right. :)

If you go to the Parents Television Council website  they have a list of advertisers from Gilmore Girls episodes from the beginning of April thru the present.

Just click on the link "Click here to find out who's sponsoring Gilmore Girls".  It's really a good list..

I just found a new little tidbit on Alexis from the gilmoregirlsnews site:

there is also part of an interview from the new entertainment weekly:

“I got an email from Entertainment Weekly informing me that Alexis is featured in their next issue.

They were also so kind to include some snippets of the interview:

One of the challenges Alexis Bledel faced playing Rory Gilmore was the character’s speed talking.
“I would get so exhausted. It burns you out.” However, the fast- paced lines helped her in the future. “It’s amazing what your brain can do if you practice. I still race through dialogue, even at auditions. I have to slow down and talk like normal people.”

Rory Gilmore was a very chatty, outgoing character unlike Alexis Bledel in real life. During photo shoots Bledel is particularly shy.
“(You) do these stupid movements to make the dress look cute. Everyone’s standing around watching. You just feel ridiculous sometimes. I don’t like being the center of attention!”

Gilmore Girls lasted seven seasons. How would you feel about doing another series?
“It would have to be at least 10 years before I’d do (a series) again, because it is such an all- consuming experience.”

How is the much anticipated Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants sequel?
“It’s not work,” she says. “It’s a vacation.”

The issue hits the stands in New York and Los Angeles today and the rest of the US nation on Monday. Hopefully we’ll have some scans up soon!”
Source: Alexisonline.net
clearly it can’t be the whole thing because people have to buy it to read it or just go to the store but i’m sure the rest will be up soon.

Hmmmm.....it's getting more difficult for me right now to envision any  GG episodes/movie with Alexis in it.  Seems she really wants to be done with it.  I have to keep my hopes up though, that ASP and/or Lauren can talk her into it!

here's what the article says (in full):

Exit Interview
Alexis Bledel
--Karen Leigh

Alexis Bledel is in a Manhattan hotel lounge, calmly stirring sugar into her...tea? This can mean only one thing: The actress who spent seven years chugging Luke's coffee on Gilmore Girls really has moved on. "I'm looking forward to seeing what else I can do," says the Houston native, 25, who trades Stars Hollow for sleepy Mud Meadows in I'm Reed Fish. In the June 1 indie, she plays a woman dealing with her mother's death and a crumbling engagement. Though Bledel has been in films before (2002's Tuck Everlasting, 2005's Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), she insists, "I don't want to go too commercial." Well, unless the right action-flick script falls into her lap: "Imagine (me in) a Carrie-Anne Moss Matrix kind of thing!"

Gilmore is over, but Bledel is still a speed-talker: "I would get so exhausted," she says of spitting out Rory's fast paced lines. "It burns you out." But memorizing those exchanges kept her sharp. "It's amazing what your brain can do if you practice. I still race through dialogue, even at auditions. I have to slow down and talk like normal people."

Unlike chatty Rory Gilmore, Bledel herself is a bit on the shy side: "It's not something I gravitate toward," the actress says of the media glare. "I focus on the work." During photo shoots, "(You) do these stupid movements to make the dress look cute. Everyone's standing around watching. You just feel ridiculous sometimes. I don't like being the center of attention!"

Now that she's been sprung from Stars Hollow, her career is a blank slate: "It would have to be at least 10 years before I'd do (a series) again because it is such an all-consuming experience." On tap is the mcuh anticipated Pants sequel (due next summer) costarring America Ferrera and now filming in balmy Santorini, Greece. "It's not work," she says. "It's a vacaion."

Heather mentioned she didn't have time to call somewhere.
I'd be glad to do it.
I just need to know what you're talking about!  ;D

I'm pretty much free for three months, since school is out.
So if anyone needs me to do anything, I will.
I can mail oodles, because my dad can buy stamps and any kind of printer stuff(paper/ink,etc.) as a tax write off.
I have some extra extra money saved up (about $60) for anything I want to do.
love is blind so you didn't see me.

Hmmmm.....it's getting more difficult for me right now to envision any  GG episodes/movie with Alexis in it.  Seems she really wants to be done with it.  I have to keep my hopes up though, that ASP and/or Lauren can talk her into it!

Like I keep saying, in showbiz, due to the amount of passion that it takes to get any project going (producers, writers, directiors, studio heads) or to participate in any project (directors, actors, designers, technicians and other crew), a person is 100% sure about something until they have been given a good enough reason (or think up a good enough reason on their own) to change their minds.  And then they're sure 100% in the other direction.

Sure, Alexis doesn't see herself doing a series again for ten years -- ie: another series.  Doesn't mean she couldn't be cajoled into one last storyline with Gg.  I mean, everybody thought Jessica Biel was never going to come back to 7th Heaven and they got her back one more time for the s10 finale, when everybody thought that *that* was going to be the last episode of that series.

Keep in mind that one of the things that Alexis and her peeps are doing with her press junket for Reed Fish, in whcih she keeps talking about the end of Gg (and evading her part in its end) is to position her as a movie actress by deliberately distancing herself from the series as much as she can.  She may not even personally feel as exhausted by the show as she says she is.  In any case, IMO, she's overplaying that card badly by well, not continuing to make such comments about the show -- she's going to have to face those questions no matter what -- but by handling those questions *badly.*  (Lauren is a far better spinner than Alexis is, IMO.)  Her publicist should be throwing his/her arms up in frustration right about now about how much she's alienating her fanbase.

Moreover, IMO, she also shouldn't be foolish enough to say that she won't do a series for 10 years.  You don't get the movie roles and you've got no choice but to take the TV auditions and *hope* that you get a series role.  Hey, I can understand her seeing Sisterhood 2 as a vacation, but otherwise, you know, movie roles don't grow on trees.  And she's going to be acting alongside several of her main competition for movie roles in Sisterhood 2.  Add to that list auditioning against such additional competition as Kristen Bell, the cast of Gossip Girl, Kristin Kruek, Allison Mack, Mandy Moore, Rachel MacAdams, Rachel Bilson, etc. and you start asking yourself as a casting director, forget who memorizes their lines fast -- they all memorize their lines fast -- the question is who has the most depth and range as an actress -- those are the ones that are going to get cast the most and the rest are going to fall by the wayside.  For example, IMO, Kreuk's career is pretty much done after Smallvile due to her having IMO only modest talent as an actress at best.

Season 8:  Because Lorelai would be totally ticked off that nobody told her to stay through the entire ten minutes of end credits for Pirates of the Carribbean 3 to see that one final scene.  (An usher told me about it the next day -- ie: today -- at a different theater when I went and saw Knocked Up.)  BTW, you're welcome for the heads up.  ;)

Nope, it's not.  It's for Good Game.  The outgoing message identifies the company and all three officers of the company specifically by name, Lauren first.  Since you said so, I have no doubt that the company left the lot when the show ended, but the phone number is definitely still the same.

Season 8:  Because Lorelai would go and watch "Knocked Up" and think, "Why could Chris step up and be there for Sherry's pregnancy and not step up with me?  Why did I have to *make* him step up for Sherry's pregnancy?"

I tried calling and the message said something like -- "The person at extension 3414 is not available."

BTW, I just wanted to add to this the answer to "why is Rob not doing all this calling himself?"

And the simple answer boils down to "When I said that I was a Kirk, I wasn't kidding."

The harder answer is that rather than suffering from Night Terrors, I'm Social Phobic.  And it's a Kirk-il-ish-ly, amusingly weird case of social phobia.  It's easy for me to *answer* phones -- if someone calls me, they'll have a hard time getting me to stop talking (which will make me a great spokesperson, ironically) because I'm a Kirk Lorelai Kirk Lorelai Kirk[/b] my sister, my daughter, my sister my daughter, but it's *hard* for me to call out.  And the only reason why I'm able to call the CW's comment line every day is because I know that it's an impersonal voicemailbox.

So I've got a lot of information gathered from imdPro.  Some of it, like Good Game's address, may not be up-to-date due to the fast cancellation of the show, but the management address information should mostly be accurate and just needs to be verified (the phone number for Alexis's management, for instance, has changed.)

And I just PM'd CathyCoffee myself with the info.

@ Monkeykid:  Are you sure you dialed the number right (or that I gave the right number)? 1-818-954-3414 -- because I just called and it still identifies as Good Game and leave your message after the beep.  Whatever advisory you might have gotten could be that the voicemailbox is full.

  -- Rob

ETC a typo in the phone number.  Then ETA that I PM'd CathyCoffee.

Season 8:  Because even Kirk's storyline needs a finish.
