That's awesome!! I'm still not giving up yet though! I'm writing and sending my books/ daisies to the girls and letting them know just how happy it would make me to get confirmation that a season 8 is on it's way! I'm thinking positive and any glimmer of hope is great about now!! This is wonderful...especially after seeing tonight's long awaited new episode!! Thanks for posting, Heidi!!  ;D

Here is a little update which I found on spoilerfix.com about what would happen if Gilmore Girls returned for a season 8:
"General Spoilers:

    * new 04/16 - Negotiations to bring Gilmore Girls back for an eighth season took a very interesting turn on Friday. According to multiple sources embedded deep inside Stars Hollow, Lauren Graham — she on which all things hinge — is allegedly warming to the idea of returning for a shortened season, à la Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond. Word of this condensed scenario was "the talk of the set" on Friday, one day before shooting on the show's current season was scheduled to wrap. My spy was quick to add, however, that nothing's official and it's very possible this whole thing could unravel before anything's signed. Source: TV Guide Online"

First of all I'd just like to say kudos to Heidi for getting this started and for putting so much effort towards a cause that we all will appreciate, because what would Gilmore Girls fans be without Gilmore Girls?! And thank you to everyone else who has also campaigned for season8!
-oh my gosh how corny did that sound!!! I just really want there to be another season!!

Wow all this talk about season8 whether shortened or not it's still good news and hopefully they'll think about it more and decide to lengthen it.

Gilmore Girls deserves a full season8, it has been going such a long time now!

OMG!  I'm so excited!  That is such great news to wake up!   ;)  When I started reading the thread my brother thought I was in trouble I was screaming so loud!  Even if it is only a shorten season it is completely better than nothing, and who knows, they might end up lengthing it to a full season.  But I'm just thrilled for this...THRILLED! ;D
