I think the addresses have been published by the WB so it probably would be the safer way to put the "president" into the address field. If there aren't two people with the same name working there, I am sure he'll receive your letter whether you write this line or not  ;)

Thanks! I will put in all the titles then. Thanks again!  :)

And I'm loving that we are famous! I'm considering sending an article to the newspaper where I live, I know a lot of people here love Gilmore Girls and would love to help out! So I'm gonna try that and see if it helps!
Lauren*

hey that's a great idea i think i might try it if i find a way!

Hey everybody! I just wrote a letter to Access Hollywood to get some media attention. I hope they will do a story and stalk, lol, the CW people for info, and so they understand WE WNAT GILMORE GRLS SEAOSN *. Here is the leter:

EDIT: I ALSO JUST SENT A SIMILAR ETTER TO GLOBAL TV WHO ALSO AIRES GG

Dear Access Hollywood,

I'm sure you have heard of the GREAT8MANDATE by GilmoreGirls.org Gilmore Grls.org is a fan base of people talking on a forum about Gilmore Girls and our life with/without Gilmore Girls. I think their is a huge story behind the cancellation of Gilmore Girls and you could do it on one of your shows. Many fans of Gilmoe Girls want another season, so season 8, however, all we can do is send endless letters to CW TV, their associates, and people who could possibly point us in the helpful direction. It cam to be recently we need the media involved, then CW and WB would understand what a HUGE impact cancelling the show would be on viewer. Thank you for your time! You may contact me by email at: [email protected] I am user aryan2003 on GilmoreGirls.org/forum. Thankyou for helping us get one step closer towards our goal of Gilmore Girls Season 8!

I dont care if their are typos, my hand are sore from voting, and my brain is sore of thinking. Im gonna go do some relaxation stuff.
Au Revoir.. KEEP GOING! WE CAN DO IT!!

wow good job that is some major dedication. *bows down*

how did you contact access hollywood, by the way? i want to write them a letter too! i think we should all write letters to shows like that so we can get some media attention. that would be soooo exciting!

it seems the episode after "Just Like Riding A Bike", is titled "Lorelai, Lorelai".  Weather this is the episode where Rory graduates in or not, I have no idea.

Nope, episode 7.19 is the riding bike epi so 7.20 must be the "Lorelai, Lorelai" title which would make sense because it's the singing one.  ;D

I'm so glad to hear reports on the fire aren't as bad as what was feared and that GG's set seems to be okay. What a HUGE reilef!  :D

Hey everybody, I'm the person who volunteered to do the movie/vid clip idea. I have a lot of stuff floating around in my head right now and am fairly certain that I can accomplish editing those words together to make a sentence (I just watched a slew of episodes for some of the words) and have also decided that it would be cool to incorporate a couple clips that when edited properly can be used for our cause, and to maybe include some clips of classic GG moments. If anyone has any ideas please please please PM me and I will try my best to incorporate them.

As far as my credentials go for editing clips, I have a youtube account but am very shy about posting my work (so this will be the first one). I do have access to moviemaker, and imovies, although I prefer Final Cut to edit things on my Mac, although I often use all three to get a cool result. I have won several awards in school for documentaries I've made, and also I won a state award in Massachusetts for a short documentary on the Civil War. This is my absolute passion, and I do this quite frequently, so I know my away around editing. I will have a preliminary draft of the vid up by tomorrow night, although I might have to tweak it a little after.

I'd love input from everyone about what to do, so please I'm begging you guys throw some ideas at me (PM me preferably, so I don't have to keep checking this thread)

THAT is a secret  ;) There is a spoiler of it in the SPOILER section.

Somebody here mentioned something about writing a letter to Ellen D. Does anyone have the mailing address for that because I would really LOVE to send one to her? Thanks!  :)

This is what I said in my letters to executives, etc-

"I write to you on something of the utmost importance. It is something that not only affects me but millions of people as well. There is a television show currently on TV that is in danger of becoming cancelled for a renewed season. This may seem unimportant to you but to us fans, it is not just a television show… it’s a way of life. The program is called; “Gilmore Girls” which airs Tuesday nights on the newly formed CW network. I write on behalf of the “Great8Mandate” mission at GilmoreGirls.org who’s task it is to let the public and persons involved with the production of the show be aware of the need for an eighth season. Not only that but In addition, I also write on behalf of this hardworking, articulate and dedicated individual fan."
I put very personal things here but because I'm in a public forum I'm not going to reveal them.  "Gilmore Girls is a breath of fresh air in my otherwise hectic and stressful life. It gives me something to look forward to and always puts me in a happy mood.

So when I heard there might not be an eighth season I wanted to do all I could to try and insure that it happens. Because Gilmore Girls not only means a lot to me but it also means a lot to millions of people and to the CW network. Gilmore Girls is one of the very few constantly strong ratings for the struggling new network. The fans of “Gilmore Girls” are also fans of other CW shows. Whatever shows which follows “Gilmore Girls” usually receives around the same amount of ratings as it does. With this said, if an 8th season doesn’t occur there is little chance the same loyal fans of “Gilmore Girls” will stick with the other shows and an even slimmer chance they will try out new programs of the CW. I for one; don’t watch any other television show on CW except for One Tree Hill and Top Model on some occasions. That means if CW doesn’t air one last new season of “Gilmore Girls”, odds are I will not watch the CW at all. I even watch “Gilmore Girls” over American Idol.

A big reason for why we need an 8th season is because the current season didn’t fair well to us fans at all. Ever since the creators, Amy Sherman and Dan Palladino, departed the show, it had “jumped the shark” as the phrase goes. It started when the creators left the storyline where Lorelai and Luke were in a rut with their soon-to-be-marriage and Lorelai ended up sleeping with her ex. There are two walls, which hold up the “Gilmore Girls” house; the relationship between Lorelai and Luke is one of them. It has been literally painful to watch the first half of season 7 because of that. Another factor into the fans’ bad reactions to season 7 has to do with the horrible production of it. Writers who hardly seemed to have a clue as to who the characters are, scripts which left out many of the loveable characters we have become attached to, boring storylines, scripts with forced references that weren’t funny, badly researched facts, seeing some of the acting off/hard to reach emotions, scenes that were filmed with cloudy or bad shots, the sound being so low the people who air it had to put the controls on top volume just so we could hear it, and in general a lack of love for the show.

Now with so many complaints why do we need an eighth season? The answer is because that was the first part of the season. From episode 7.11 and on, the show has improved so much like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. With the strong continueous efforts of David Rosenthal, the writing from Rebecca Rand Kirshner and David Grae, with the directing of Jamie Babbit and Lee Shallat Chemel; the show has taken an unprecedented turn for the better. By the end of the seventh season they should have the episodes down and be able to satisfy fans for an 8th season. However, Lorelai and Luke are still not back together romantically yet and Rory is still in Yale. The time Lorelai and Luke spend apart from one another might on the surface seem like a terrible thing but the ripples it has been creating I believe will turn into waves. Because ripples don't just pop up on their own, something has to be creating them; a stone, a shake underground, an organism swimming around, or even a rain drop. Whatever it is, the action is causing a change to the still, cold water. In short what I mean is; even though they are apart from one another, something always seems to happen to bring them back into each other's lives. It's not that they want to interrupt each other's lives but they have supported each other through bad times for so long that it just seems unnatural for them not to be there. They truly do need each other and I think they are only strongest when they are together. By the time the season ends, us fans will be lucky if we even get to see Lorelai and Luke in a deep relationship, let alone taking it to the level it should’ve been during season 6… where they get married and have a baby. Additionally, we will only get to see Rory graduate from Yale but what will come of her? What kind of struggles will she have to go through to be successful… will she be successful at all?

These inquires and demands will not be answered by the last episode… if they do at this point they will seem forced. We desperately need an 8th season to find out. After the horrible season we had this past year, us loyal fans want the kind of final season that this amazing show deserves. The ratings for a wedding between Lorelai and Luke would sky rocket and have the highest ratings of GG ever. Seeing them in married life doesn’t have to be boring like some people may fear. The fun thing about Lorelai and Luke is that you never know how they will react to something and most of their fights are entertaining. Unfortunately, the two leading female actresses (the heart and soul of “Gilmore Girls”) are having a hard time coming to an agreement to continue with this series. Not to mention other actors who have been offered parts in other television roles, which puts a serious damper on the efforts to have an 8th season. There have been rumors that Alexis wishes to pursue other career options, is adamant not to do an eighth season and Lauren Graham won’t follow through without her. I think if Alexis was to just record her voice for phone conversation with Lorelai and make occasional guest appearances that it could be enough to satisfy viewers, however having her onboard all the way would be so much more gratifying. Anything to get one last season with Lorelai.

One more year is all we fans ask for. One more year to make things right and have the show go out on top. Bring to the show closure; bring to the show an 8th season."

I have an even BETTER one in stall for Ellen.

I have a couple of reporters who are actually going to write something about us. I'll let you all know, when that happens. One article will def. be out next Friday... when it happens, ill post the link!

Ive been voting like a maniac... i added the link to the eonline poll to my desktop for easy accessibility!

I hope we can do this! I know we can... I just hope that the right people listen!!!

k well i just found this about season 8. it kinda goes back to what heidi was saying when she went to the USC campus, but this is from a different person:

Gilmore Girls Season 8 - a glimmer of hope
By Arieanna | Related entries in Gilmore Girls, Gilmore News, Spoilers
For all that our hope has been going down the toilet these past few weeks, there is a glimmer of hope about Gilmore Girls Season 8 from the lastest news:

"A very good friend of mine manages a "frock shop" from which GG has sourced some of its wardrobe over the past few years. They have been approached about supplying clothing over the next 6-9 months. I think that offers a wee bit of hope re: Season Eight. Yes?" - television without pity, FormerlyAmish

“Gilmore Girls is back fliming on USC campus today (3/28/07) and tomorrow. Lauren was there (in a hot pink little number), Alexis, Matt Czuchry, Kelly Bishop, and Edward Hermann. No sign of Scott Patterson or David Sutcliffe. I saw some cap and gowns, so most likely the’re filming the graduation scenes. Although, Alexis seemed to be wearing just jeans, uggs, and a dark blue hoodie with sun glasses, so I’m not sure exactly what they’re filming.

I asked a random crew member, “So they’re probably not coming back next season, huh?” and he replied, “It looks like they might.”" - fan forum, comatised heart
