Thought this was interesting. I was reading over Matt Roush's column today at TV Guide and it seems Supernatural is doing the same thing the fans of Gilmore are... trying to get attention so that Supernatural will be signed for another season.. A snippit from his answer to one fans plea:
"Word of advice to the world of fandom: Blitzing a columnist with a tonnage of similar messages is not the way to someone's heart or mind. It's annoying and just looks desperate..."
For the record, that's always why I've said (and I think everyone on this Forum has said) to include thoughtful, personal messages when sending letters. They don't have to be long, but they should mean something. ... And I don't think anyone here has listed Roush's e-mail anywhere. Yay? ~Heidi

I wrote David Kronke a thank you note for writing the article. I thought I would share the reply he sent me. I thought it was awesome! Connie:
A little confession: I, too, am surprised at how many comments were left. It's by a country mile the most comments left on any blog entry on not only my blog, but I think any blog at the Daily News.
The CW better pay attention; so many of them are incredibly impassioned.

I'm honestly hoping to wake up one day soon and just have an inbox crammed with good news. I really would party like it's 1999. ~Heidi I was pregnant for most of 1999 and didn't party at all! I guess I will have to party like I did in 1998, pre-pregnancy!

I still get a few e-mails and PMs each day from ORG Forum visitors who want to participate in The Great8Mandate, but are unsure how. I just finished updating the first post of this thread and tried to be specific about exactly how fans can support season 8. If anyone is still unclear or if anyone feels that I should edit the first post even more, please let me know.
Thank you.

Today I found a different/another address for Alexis Bledel, maybe this one works, too:
Alexis Bledel c/o Flutie Entertainment 270 Lafayette Street, Suite #1400 New York, NY 10012 - USA –
(since Alexis seems to be the most important person to write to....)

I am new here, but I would like to do anything that I can to help out! I am already getting started on my letter! But, I was thinking, it would also be great if we could also write to David Rosenthal, since he is the show's front-runner. Does anyone know anyway we could get an address that could reach him?

I'm a new supporter, but I've already started emailing many people and will send snail mail soon.
I know the idea of a Great 8 Mandate Web site has already been nixed, but what do you think about a MySpace page? We could friend all the Gimore Girl fans and I think that would be an excellent way to reach the fans and then direct them here to get on board. Thoughts?

I like the idea of a MySpace Page. I can do it, if anyone wants. I know myspace and I know where I can get some GG layouts and music. I can advirtize like crazy since I'm already online a lot.Just PM me, Heidi and I'll get on it.

Below is what I have posted onto myspace as well as sent out in emails to friends and fellow Gilmore Girl fans. I borrowed pieces from different posts from all of you, consolidating important points in the hopes of making it easy for people to copy and pass along.
I didnt see it on the myspace gilmore girls group I read, so I posted the info and graphics there It looks like there may already be something like that there. You could do a myspace search and see what you find. My personal opinion though, is the more we get the word out there the better. As long as we direct everthing back to Gilmore Girls.org and TheGreat8Mandate, we'll be able to keep the continuity that we need to keep building interest and enthusiasm! There is strength in numbers! (*Imagine that there is a smiley face here with the flexed bicepts of Arnold Schwartzeneger!)

Hey, do you think there has been more traffic around here since the word has gotten out a little bit? I'm curious to know because of your mention in the OffTopic thread.
