I see you already have the link to the petition on your signature.  The Campaign for a Season 8(Great8Mandate) was begun by Heidi on Gilmore Girls.org.  The thread was getting too big, so a few members of GG.org  made a website just for the Campaign, which is called SavetheLorelais.
On www.savethelorelais.org you can find information about the campaign and the petition.   SavetheLorelais also has a myspace page which can be found at   www.myspace.com/savethelorelais
Updates about the petition and any movie related news will also be posted on this thread.

Has anyone given any thought about giving dasies to our wonderful gilmore writer while she is picketing?

I havn't been on this board since we did all that voting for season 8 and all.  That was fun.  I just heard of Ausiello's vodcast what AS-P said about wanting to come back to do the movie but us fans have to want her to do it.  I guess instead of writing crazy amounts of letters and all we did in the past, we should write to her and that Peter Roth (President of warner bros studios) guy she told us to bother about it, You would think she would see all we did in the past, but maybe it never got to her.. like all the letters, the voting, pictures, etc.  I would love more than anything to have a reunion movie  I already signed the petition, I hope something works.  By the way, Happy Thanksgiving all!

UPDATE:

The petition is now at 9955 signatures.  Only 45 signatures to go to reach our goal of 10,000.  The petition will be kept open for more signatures after we reach our goal...  It will be sent out to Peter Roth, Amy and others after the writers strike ends. It's about 400 pages long.

Congrats on everyone for getting and signing the petition. We're waiting for the right moment to send it and deciding WHOM we should send a copy of it to. With the strike on sending it right now isn't good timing I think we should wait until it's over or at least after the Holidays. um this might be completly out of the question but how about making great8mandate buttons and or shirts and create a get together someplace where we will be noticed...like say ppl near the studios go and stand outside and show the support..guys wear blue hats and flannel girls wear the shirt and buttons..or ppl near new york area create a date when everyone meets up and trys to get on the today show maybe u know how everyone stands outside...well make signs and shirts and get noticed?? idk just an idea i guess lol id def stand there with a blue hat and flannel on or hell even the lukes hoodie from the offical website...anyone like that idea? try to get noticed see if we get noticed

I JUST LOVE GILMORE GIRLS! I MEAN WHO DOESN'T. IT IS THE BEST SHOW IN HISTORY. ANYBODY WHO DOES NOT WATCH IT IS JUST CRAZY. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO IF THERE WAS NO GILMORE GIRLS. I THINK IT SUCKS THAT IT HAS COME TO AN END. I HOPE THERES A MOVIE BECAUSE IT SHOWS LORELAI AND LUKE GETTING BACK TOGHTER BUT NEVER LASTS LONG ENOUGH TO TELL IF LUKE MARRIES HER OR IF THEY START A FAMILY. PLUS RORI WAS HER JOB A SUCESS OR NOT. I AM PRAYING FOR A MOVIE OR AT LEAST A SEASON 8. I SUPPORT GILMORE GIRLS!
