It is just a really sad situation.
On one hand, I can understand Lauren and Alexis, which has to learn a lot of lines and they are pretty much in every scene,..no freetime for 7 years, every day they had to work for 16 hours.
BUT just some more episodes are totally important. A show cannot end like "I am not sure if this will be the last episode, maybe it is but maybe not" an end has to be planned. Gilmore Girls need to get a fair end!!!
I am just so sad that the Palladinos aren´t working with WB anymore, they always knew how Gilmore Girls has to end, they knew the end, since the beginning, so Im kinda sad that we just get a end but not the end!
Anyhow, I think Lauren had that feeling that 7x22 will be the last episode, because she was the one who told the writer to change the end, so what we see is created by Lauren Graham, that´s kinda great.
Now, I know, this was more like a big brainstorming, just want to get out my minds.

Gilmore Girls need a fair end, even Lauren Graham will be on Elle tomorrow and maybe talks about how lucky she is that it is over (what I can understand as u can read) SOME MORE EPISODES WOULDNT BE THAT MUCH WORK ANYMORE- BUT GG NEED TO GET A PLANNED END!!!

Ok, it SEEMS it's over. Let's even say it IS over (even if it actually isn't, at least until may 17th). And with that? It will be over for one year, for the 2007-2008 season if at CW they decide (well, let's say they can't reach a deal) not to continue with GG. But IMO we should think even at the following seasons. Let's have this example: in october 2008 GG could be back: Lauren will have had her year off, Alexis will have had the chance to think about her decision again, the characters will have had their time to fix things (i.e. Rory and Logan could have been in California for one year and then be back) and so on. Could this be possible? I don't actually know how american networks work (living I in Italy), but I think this could be in some way possible...
Tell me your thoughts about.

Kaput. Adios. Nothing. The A-Bomb has been dropped.
Lets face it. Gilmore Girl's isn't coming back.

I personally don't want to pull a 7th Heaven. Think about the minimal amount of good things you have heard about them in the last season. I just wish we hadn't known until the 17th. I have tests and finals, and I'll only have GG on the brain.

Sorry for the pessimism. I didn't cry, so I am bitter and mad. And the actors didn't even know they were fiilming a series finale. I would love a 2 hour jump in time episode. That's just me though.
EDIT: I mean to say I would love a two hour series finale with a time jump.

Well that interview is discouraging but I'm still not going to give up no matter how much bad news we get till the 17th. Yes things are looking HORRIBLE but I think it's possible. I bet the cast of 7th heaven did interviews like the one Lauren just did! Even the GG cast thought they were coming back, they said "see you next year" at the goodbye party and that means something! Lauren, I love her but she was extremely contradictory! If they were so set and sure that the show was ending and that they wouldn't come back, why were they saying "see you next year?" I'm not giving up and I hope I'm not alone on this. I think Rob is with me on this and asenceOfhope so anyone else?! Even with pretty much everyone from the mandate giving up and gone, that doesn't mean the mandate has to be over! Please guys, stick with us till the end!

Well, keep in mind that 7th Heaven had sucked for *years* (Okay, since the first second of the pilot) and it still got uncancelled at the last minute.  And we've got a better show.  There's still no reason whatsoever to stop with the campaign.  Full speed ahead.

Season 8:  Because if you read between the lines of her genuine team-player spin, Lauren wants it, too.

I am  ;D  .. as you can read in my latest post ;)

I am still enjoying the next episodes!! And like I said, I don't want to get my hopes up high that much cause  can't stand this emotional-rollercoaster anymore! But I think it's worth a try (*crazy - I know*) ... I know it seems like a 360° turn since my last posting, but Rob really did encourage me with his last post! (hear me Rob? - your fault *lol*)

Good to know that you are with us Pam :) Love having you aboard *hugs*

Guys their is 2 ideas brought up in 1 day that could easily lighten the schedule and I think we should all write letters and put those ideas in them.

1. This was thought up by me. Why can't they drag out the 13 episodes to take as long to air as 22 episodes would. That would mean longer breaks for the actresses and longer hiatus' but who cares, we would get our S8 and the actresses would get to take their time with it, it would be like filming a movie! Or they could, like I said, make the 13 episodes take as long to air as the 22 episodes take to air but instead of making them work the same hours everyday as they do now but giving them longer break when they are done, they could make them work as much as they do now but give them shorter hour days like instead of 15 hours a day, shorten it to 10 hours. Hope that makes sence :)

2. Was thought up by zeppy. Why not we get our season 8 but give the actors a year break. That would give them time to take a breath, give Alexis time to film her movie and they could think some things through before coming back to film the last 13-22 episodes of the show.

Now that I've had a chance to 'sleep on it', I have calmed down, but still don't know what I think. Thanks, Rob, for your thoughts, as always; I certainly feel encouraged.
Several people here have come up with ways for the GG schedule to be much easier on the actresses and still be a quality show- it doesn't seem like rocket science... why isn't Dawn O. presenting these types of offers? What's "too complicated" about all that??? I still don't get it.

I'm still in for the fight. It's not May 17th yet. I think we should stop focusing on 7th Heaven though- that show's situation was totally different, but all it teaches us is that this network can resusitate (sp?) a show at the last nanosecond...

Ugh, if I can ever get stupid paypal to "verify" me I will send Heidi my Daisy $$...

At the very least, I am sad that I didn't find this website until so late in the game :(
Visit www.savethelorelais.org to keep fighting!

Thank you SKFTEX for making this sig!
