The "I Love You's" of Gilmore Girls

Here is the place to dicuss the many "I Love You's" in Gilmore Girls.  Was it smooth; did he/she say it at the right time.  What was your reaction to the declaration?  Talk about it here.


First off, one of my favorite "I Love You's" has to be "I love you, you idiot!" While Dean was not my top pick as a boyfriend, i just loved that moment.  It was sort of weird though as soon as Rory said 'i love you' to dean, he just ran right up there and kissed her - like that was the thing that would get Rory and him back together. So...


When Rory said 'i love you' to Logan, she knew exactly how to handle it.  She did not want Logan running away (like Rory did with Dean), she left the playing field open.  When Logan said 'i love you' some thought it was only to get him back together with Rory.  I believe Logan really meant it, and even if he did not, Logan truly loves Rory now.

Is it just me, or do we not see many of Lorelai's "I love you's"?

I know this is typical for a Literati, but I thought Jess' "I Love You" was the most romantic. I like the thought of this thread by the way. Good idea!

my fav is rory to dean at chilton when he thinks tristen he with her cuz he took her books thats so sweet :D

For me nothing even comes close to the Jess "I love you" to Rory. I've seen it like over a hundred times and i cry every single time i see it.

Jess's "I love you" to Rory was perfection to me. And that scene makes me want to cry everytime I see it. Same with when Rory talks to Jess on the phone in "Those Are Strings, Pinocchio".

My favorite has to be when Logan says "I love you Ace" right before he's about to leave for London.  I like that moment because it's not desperate, just a simple statement about how he feels.  I was already crying during that scene but that was the end of my composure.

Speaking of Love, what ever happened to Lulu? I loved her and I loved Kirk and his obvious pride stating and restating, "my girlfriend and I".  Talk about "You complete me."  :hearts: There is a proposal and exchange of "I love you's" I would love to see.

Because I'm partial to Jess, definitly his "I love you" wins...but it leaves us so unsatisfied, becuase he just leaves..BOOOHHOOOO. I think another great moment though is when Dean says it, just because of the sone "Oh my Love" by John Lennon is in the background. And when rory says the famous "I love you you idiot!"

The way Jess said "I love you" was 100x better than any other. Maybe it was because he was out of breath :) Not sure.

I know i'm definitly not a narco but i did like the 'i love you, you idiot' however my favourite has to be when Jess says 'I love you' the way he is trying so hard to hold it in and when he says 'can we sit down' and the way he looks so hurt but still sincere and serious. aww Jess!! It makes me cry!!!!!!!
