Explain what exactly B?  That it is one of the most freakin' awesome series ever!!  I know, eloquent.  I'm just overflowing with intellectual praise for the series. :D  But seriously if you enjoy vampire and fantasy type fiction mixed in with the real life stuff and flat out sweet, innocent human relationships then it's worth checking it out.

ETA:  I should mention that it's not flat out trditional vampire fiction.  Stephenie Meyers vampires are like no others.  The usual rules don't apply and it's fairly tame.

I am recommending a book... but ONLY to the people that are mature enough to handle its contents... so if you are under the age of like... 16/17 please avoid this post cause it is a book that would be kinda inappropriate... anyway... it's a REALLY good book!

the book is called: Beauty and Sadness by Yasunari Kawabata

look it up... read a synopsis... it's amazing!! lol

I've been reading tons of Jodi Picoult lately.  A lot.  I just got Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Peeps by Scott Westerfield, and Cathy's Book.  I'm excited to read all of them.

We're reading The Awakening by Kate Chopin in English.  Not my favorite.

Untamed by PT & Kristin Cast(im never read these before i ahve read the series form the begin but the last book is good)

I just borrowed this series from the library but I've yet to read them.  I like most Urban Fantasy fiction so I always like to read something that is in a series so I can really get involved in the characters long term rather than over the course of a single book.

I just finished reading the Southern Vampire Series by Charlaine Harris which are the books that the TV series True Blood is based on.  I loved them and can't wait for the next instalment due out soon.

I was looking at the Amazon Kindle and the Sony Reader this weekend and wondered if anyone had any reviews on them. Also, what are your general thoughts on electronic books?? I haven't decided if I like them yet! And since it is the reason for this board...what do you think Rory would think? :)

One of the other members has a Kindle and l'm pretty sure she loves it.  If I catch her here I'll get her to stop by and comment on it.

I'm sorry I haven't responded in a more timely fashion, I just now saw this.

jen748, I LOVE my Kindle.  So, so much.  I, too, was hesitant because I am a "book" girl and love the feel of one in my hands.  I bought the Kindle because I am taking an extremely long plane ride in a few months and I didn't want to lug a ton of books with me.

That is why I bought it, but in the meantime I have absolutely fallen in love with it.  Whenever I want to buy a new book, it is truly a matter of just pushing a couple of buttons and they automatically charge my Amazon account.  I don't even need to be anywhere near a computer as it works like a high-powered cell phone.  Just the other day, I saw a book being discussed on tv that looked wonderful.  I grabbed my Kindle and had the book within literally two minutes for my reading pleasure.

There is no backlight, so it is much easier on the eyes than a computer screen.  The text honestly looks just like a book.  It is compact, lightweight, and I cannot say enough about it.

As far as Rory goes, there is no doubt she would become addicted to being able to carry so many books around with her so easily!

If you have any more questions, I'd be glad to answer them.
