kamiBear, lulrne mcdaniel books r based on her own experience. cuz she is a cured cancer or leukemia patient, not sure which one, so she basses her books on that

I mean her books are depressing because all of them are about some type of illness. Most of the time it's lukemia (sp?) but they are really good books. I recomend all of the books that I've read by her, which I've posted below.. ::)

I never read the Sweet Valley books. I know absolutely nothing about them. But we like the BSC books, so I betcha a dollar I'll try reading one or two and like them. Never read R L Stine. My mom wouldn't let me, she's against all those creepy things. But I read those pony books, I think they're called The Pony Club or something? I read a couple of those, and the Boxcar Children, the Bobbsey Twins, Nancy Drew. Trixie Belden. Choose Your Own Adventure! Those were so much fun!

For some reason I always thought Mallory and Jessie were, eh.. lol. Yeah Mary Ann was kind of like a whiny one. I never got why her dad was so super strict yet her let her be with Logan? (Wow I'm amazed about how I remember all this.) Sweet Valley wasn't that bad. Twin sisters that just went through day to day teen stuff. My dad doesn't like creepy stuff, but I always read (and still do read) that stuff. I think I remember The Pony Club, and I did read The Box Car Children! As well as those Choose Your Own Adventure books.

I'm sure you saw The Baby-Sitters Club movie? LOL. I never owned it but I know I had rented it and liked it. Some months ago my cousin and I tried looking for that movie to rent but Blockbuster didn't have it.. :( And there was also a TV series! But they only did like 5 or so episodes. Not that much.

I liked Mallory 'cuz she had like seven siblings, and I had four, which isn't the same, but it's still a lot. And she liked writing. I thought that was the coolest thing ever. But yeah, Jessie was meh.
And I saw the movie like once or twice and it was so cool! But it was too much about Kristy, and Kristy is meh. Never knew there was a tv series though.

As nobody answers in the "book"-thread I'm trying here again, I hope this is the right thread and the question is new (couldn't find it):

Have you heard about this book: Coffee at Luke's: An Unauthorized Gilmore Girls Gabfest by Jennifer Crusie?
It should come out this spring, but I'm not sure, what kind of book it is? Is she writing kind of a sequel? Before we are sure there is no 8th season?
And - what is a "gabfest"?  Couldn't find it in any dictionary?
I'm confused.... ??? ???
