PARIS: "I know what you're up to Rory! What do you think, I was like born day before yesterday or something?"
RORY: "Huh? Wha- no, of course not. Your birthday's tomorrow."
PARIS: "You know what I mean! I'm not stupid! You've been bringing in these boxes for days. And look at this!
"Clown Makeup for Dummies" ?! You're running away and joining the circus, aren't you!"
RORY: "No! Wait, I mean yes! I mean...what are we talking about? I'm so confused.."
PARIS: [
reading] "Chapter One: Proper rubber nose placement.."
RORY: "These are just for fun Paris! You know how much I love clowns."
PARIS: "Yeah right! God Rory, how could you do this to me? We always said that if one of us was going to run off and join the circus we'd do it together! And here you are sneaking around reading
'How to be a Clown' books behind my back! Were you even going to tell me before you left?
RORY: "You know I don't read! I just like the pretty clown pictures. I pinky swears!"
PARIS: "Whatever, I don't have time to stand here like I forgot to take the hanger out of my shirt before I put it on and argue with you about this Rory. Me and Doyle have to practice for the Phi Beta Bimbo dance competition. You will
not throw me off my game Gilmore!"
RORY: "Ookie Dokie!"

the phone rings]
RORY: [
still flustered] "Hello?"
LORELAI: "Hey kiddo, what's up?"
RORY: "Phew! Just had a close call mom. Paris found my clown books, and I thought for sure she knew about her surprise party, but instead she thinks I'm running off to join the circus."
LORELAI: "You aren't...right?"
RORY: "Mom! That was
one time, let it go! No, it's for the party, I'm dressing up as a clown."
LORELAI: "That sounds about right. So what's left for you to do?"
RORY: "I need to buy more pink hair-dye, more pink balloons, and order the pink
My Little Pony birthday cake from Weston's."
LORELAI: "Why don't you add some Pepto Bismol to that list while you're at it. This party sounds gross."
RORY: "The theme is 'Paris is the New Pink' mom."
LORELAI: "Really? I thought it was 'Indigestion'. My bad."
