Hi gang,
I've finally put my ORG Reunion thoughts down on 'paper' and I'd love to hear your feedback. The ORG Reunion is all-inclusive and I want it to be a fun event for everyone, so please share all your questions, comments, and suggestions.
PRIME REAL ESTATEHere's hoping that the ORG Reunion turns out to be a big deal. We obviously want many, many friends and Gilmore enthusiasts to drop by during the dates of August 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, and when people do stop in we want the Reunion festivities to be as easy as possible to find. Therefore, threads and games pertaining to the Reunion will be given their own board. For August 22nd to 24th, and probably the following week, this board will be front and center on the Forum (it will be the top board with Gilmore Girls, Episode Discussion, and GilmoreGirls.org following). Once the festivities are over, the board will be neatly tucked away and the Forum will resume its normal look.
GOOD TIMES AHEADThe following are a few ideas for games and threads. This is by no means a complete list; I'm totally open to suggestions. In fact, I really want additional suggestions. Please let me know what you'd like to see/do/play during the Reunion.
- "What have you been up to?" Thread (a definite must)
- Funny Screencap Thread
- Three Word Story Thread, the Beyond Season 7 Version (giving us a chance to get our own season 8 underway)
- Trivia Galore (we could start a post with a whole heap of questions for answering and people answer as they play, or we could post one question at a time with the person who answers correctly posting the next question)
- Scuzzle Game Thread (a scuzzle is a combination scavenger hunt and puzzle that involves both searching for clues and puzzling them together. I'll take a photo of something awesometastic -- something Gilmore Girls related -- and cut it up into a certain amount of evenly-sized pieces. I'll then take the pieces and hide them all around the ORG Forum. Once all the pieces have been found, they can be arranged just like a puzzle. When you’ve puzzled all the scuzzle pieces in the correct order you'll be able to see the awesometastic image.)
Again, those were just a few ideas. Now share yours!
WHAT'S NEXT?Once we hash out a few games and threads that will definitely be part of the Reunion, I'll start promoting our activities via e-mail announcements. (I figure it's important to list some of the games and threads in the e-mail to try and entice old friends to return.) If fellow Forum members could help spread the word by whatever means applicable, that would be most appreciated.
THINGS TO DO- Compile ideas for additional games and threads
- E-mail ORG Reunion information and announcements
- Organize and prepare the new threads (include creating imagery/graphics)
- Spread the word!
- Participate in the Reunion and have fun
- Rest
There you have it. Tell me what you think! Spare my feelings not. Go!
