That was one of the most exciting Super Bowls (even football game in general) that I've ever seen. I really wasn't rooting for either team but I was pulling for the Patriots since I'm an Eagles fan and, well, I despise the Giants. Congrats to them for pulling off the upset! I was also a little disappointed in the commercials as well.
Vote in the poll if you haven't already. Vote. Vote.

I'm really happy that the NY Giants won the Superbowl. If for no other reason, because I'm a New Yorker.

Seriously! I really only had the game on just for the commercials. Of course when they would start I would forget that the point is to watch them and I didn't realize that I was tuning them out till like 3 had already past! The best one was for some kind of drink.. not Gatorade, but the one that had the hilarious and cute dancing lizards! Awesome!

Yeah, I was thinking the commercials just weren't as good as the past year's too. I'm glad it wasn't just me. I normally like at least one a year! And then look forward to seeing it after the Super Bowl. haha! I'm glad that the NY Giants won too. I know that the Patriots would have had a perfect record...a great feat for sure...I just like really that the Giants won! It was a great game. I didn't think that the score would get too high...they're both good teams. I was surprised when they were talking about the predictions and people were saying scores into the 30's. All in all a great game! Excited for next year already! haha!

As a former New Yorker, i was thrilled to see the Giants kick butt on the Patriots. Anytime a NY team beats a Boston team it's a good thing! Too bad Laura, a Jersey Girl, wasn't rooting for the Giants. They play at the Meadowlands in New Jersey although they are still called the New York Giants. I liked the E-Trade commercials with the baby sitting at the computer and making stock trades in a grown-up voice. The one with the clown in the background was especially funny.

The Meadowlands are nowhere near where I am. I'm much closer to Philly, where my loyalties lie I never understood why the Giants and Jets play in Jersey if they're New York teams. All other NY teams actually play in New York...what's their problem with football in the city If I had to pick a commercial out of a bunch of crummy ones, I'd probably go with the baby one as well. I also like the Budweiser one with the Rocky theme music. 24 votes in the poll...only 12 left We may have to start recruiting soon.

10 votes...right? Giiiiiiiiiiants win! Theeeeee Giiiiiiiiiiiiiants win! (And I don't like the Yankees, if you don't get that^^...well then, I'm sad for you.) Anywho, I HATED some of these commercials. Like the dancing lizard one? What the heck is that? C'mon. And that pigeon one scared me. I'm scared of birds. Favorites? The Budweiser one with the dog training the horse. (I pretty much like all horse commericals.. ) And the screaming squirrel one...I don't know what they were advertising, but it was hilarious. And the creepy Dorito one when the guy puts up a mousetrap and real person in a mouse suit comes out! HAH!

Oh, if anyone here is a film student or similar, and lives in or near Philadelphia (probably spelt wrong, sorry!), they're looking for interns for The Dream OF The Romans, Lauren Grahams' new film. The fax number is on the ad, which I put in the Lauren thread, it'd be a cool experience, and you might get to be the lucky lad/lass who brings Lauren her coffee!!

When I was online earlier today I noticed that there were about 20 more members that needed to join to reach the 14000 member mark. I made a mental note to come on here and warn you so you wouldn't miss the milestone this time Heidi, but alas. I missed it! 14,008 members are now part of the wonderful community. Congratulations Heidi.
BTW loved your celebrity sightings story. Maybe you could share the non-Gilmore related ones here in your soapbox just for our amusement?

Sure, if you guys want to hear them. ~Heidi Well I know I do, and I'm sure there are others that would also. Maybe you could even work the odd one into a poll if the situation allowed for it. Speaking of which, this poll has been going on forever!! Where are all the voters? And I hope you can remember the identity of your attacker when I finally canvas the remaining required votes LOL.
