You Italians and your flamboyant hand gestures!! Tongue (no harm meant!)

Teehee, that made me giggle.

You can usually spot a Italian by the hand gestures  Cheesy It's amazing!  Wink

Yeah sometimes I'll use my hands so much that I'll accidentally hit someone, and I always laugh really hard (after I'm like, "Oh sorry, are you okay??") Yeah, Italians are funny to watch when they talk!

I have a whole lot of NOTHING to do this weekend.. That makes me sorta sad. It seems like my friends are all busy or out of town, or just don't love me anymore (just kidding). *sigh*

Let's see.. On Wednesday I went shopping, so I can't afford to do that again this weekend, Yesterday I cleaned the house and mainly my room (it's spotless), and today I cleaned out the pantry and cabinits in the kitchen... So I have nothing left to clean this weekend.. That's really sad... I have NOTHING to do. *sigh again* Oh well, I'll find something to do.

Hope everything's just wonderful!! Much love to everyone!!  Kiss

I've hit people too when I talk. I laugh first and after I get tears in my eyes from laughing so much I ask if they're alright. I should probably apologize before I laugh or they'll think it was on purpose or something  Cheesy

I'm sure the dinner question has been asked before. Ah no, it's the 'who would you like to meet'. Ah well, they're all the same to me, it pretty much still applies.

You don't have to participate, no one is making you. It was the first question that was in the book...I'll try for a better variety next time.

Haha! I have a good friend who's Italian and we're always making jokes about her and her "ways". It's funny but sometimes we forget that others might not appreciate the humor that we find in them. I didn't want to ruffle any feathers so glad that you got a chuckle! Smiley

I have a whole lot of NOTHING to do this weekend.. That makes me sorta sad. It seems like my friends are all busy or out of town, or just don't love me anymore (just kidding). *sigh*

I get that way sometimes. Though I really am starting to wonder if they don't love me anymore! Tongue This time of the year is busy for everyone, and everyone seems to be running off in different directions. It will all settle down again.

I was kind of bummed when I realized that tonight I'm just spending it alone. But hopefully, I'll just have fun here at the org. I'm trying to get in as much posting as I can before classes start up again. This place always seems to cheer me up.

Lol. This is what I always do *I hit them* Say, "Oh no! Sorry! Are you alright??" *They say their fine* And I burst into laughter... It happens a lot!!

Haha! That made me laugh!! I've so been there before! Both the one doing the hitting and the one being hit. It's all pretty darn funny! Cheesy

Last night my brother and I went to the movies. It was a lot of fun. I don't get to hang out with him very much, but he just got a car, so he said we'll be hanging out more...we'll see. Anyways it was fun, and I hope we get to do it again sometime in the near future.

Tonight I babysat my little cousin. It was fun. The kid's a riot.

I think I'm going to see P.S. I Love You tomorrow, for the second time. I promised a friend I would go with her, but my mom wanted to see it too, so I already saw with my mom, now I get to go with my friend. Such fun such fun.

Mel I hope that although you are alone tonight, that you still enjoy your night.

1. When do you feel your best?
a. in the morning
b. during the afternoon and early evening
c. late at night

2. You usually walk...
a. fairly fast with long steps
b. fairly fast with little steps
c. less fast, head up, looking the world in the face
d. less fast, head down
e. very slowly

3. When talking to people you...
a. stand with your arms folded
b. have your hands clasped
c. have one or both hands on your hips
d. touch or push the person to whom you are talking
e. play with your ear, touch your chin, or smooth your hair

*I'm such a big hand talker, it's horrible.  And I'm not all that Italian.  Cheesy  But when I'm giving speeches or really nervous, I tuck my hair behind my ears about a thousand times.

4. When relaxing, you sit with...
a. your knees bent with your legs neatly side by side
b. your legs crossed
c. your legs stretched out or straight
d. one leg curled under you
*I also tend to tuck my knees up to my chest when I watch TV.

5. When something really amuses you, you react with...
a. big appreciated laugh
b. a laugh but not a loud one
c. a quiet chuckle
d. a sheepish smile

6. When you go to a party or social gathering...
a. make a loud entrance so that everybody notices you
b. make a quiet entrance, looking for someone you know
c. make the quietest entrance, trying to stay unnoticed
*I can't make loud entrances, so I usually sneak in and look for someone I know.  ASAP.

7. You're working very hard, concentrating hard, and you're interrupted...
a. welcome the break
b. feel extremely irritated
c. vary between these two extremes
*Having 5 siblings means that interruptions happen all the time but it really depends on the situation how I react.

8. Which of the following colors do you like the most?
a. red or orange
b. black
c. yellow or light blue
d. green
e. dark blue or purple
f. white, brown, or gray

9. When you are in bed at night, those last few moments before going to sleep you are...
a. stretched out on your back
b. stretched out face down on your stomach
c. on your side, slightly curled
d. with your head on one arm
e. with your head under the covers
*It's where I'm most comfortable, no matter how uncomfortable it sounds!  Smiley

10. You often dream that you are...
a. falling
b. fighting or struggling
c. searching for something or somebody
d. flying or floating
e. you usually have dreamless sleep
f. your dreams are always pleasant
*Two opposites, but it varies.  Lately, being out of school and way less stressed, I tend to have more dreams of forgetting things and struggling in school and such.  But when I'm in school and stressed all day, I tend to unwind at night in my sleep.  Go figure.

If I could dine with one person, I'd have to pick...Amelia Earhart.  Kind of like what the other Grace said about how it'd be interesting to talk to someone who did something at a time when women did...a lot less.  I had to think about that a lot, and I don't know if that's the one person, but she's definitely up there.  That's a really thought-provoking question, Mel.

It's absolutely gorgeous in Wisconsin.  It looks beautiful, the trees are covered in snow and the river looks amazing.  Everything's white and looks fresh and pure.  I've missed the snow, and this was a wonderful treat to come back and see.  However, it is 25, which isn't exactly warm... Cheesy

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and a Happy New Year.

Kate--I took lots of pictures, and I'll be sure to get them up here once I get back to Tennessee and find my camera cord.  I'm enjoying it while I can, because soon I'll be back to warmer weather and storms.  And I don't know if they'd find it a problem, maybe the real problem was not what they were trying to do, but the opposition they faced.

Yeah, it's quite snowy here in Wisconsin! I posted some snow pictures of it in the photography thread.

Oh, I have that problem too, I remember I once sang a solo for choir (in like 4th grade) and before the concert my teacher threatened to tie my hair up so that I couldn't tuck it behind my ears so often! I think I use my hands more when I talk when I'm nervous / excited.

Hello Fellows!!

I just came by to let you guys know about a couple of movies that I saw...
The first was P.S. I love You. I have one word...AMAZING!! It had such a great ending, plus!! Harry Connick Jr. What's not to love!?! I would say yes to movie with the ladies, but probably not the best date movie...even thought that's what the commercials are calling it.

The second was Enchanted. It was alright...started off a bit rocky...but the second hour picked up steam. (Yes, it is about two hours long.) Maybe a good move to take the little sis to. Depending on your date, I'd say probably not a date movie.

Alright, well...I hope you are all staying warm and cozy in the snow!! As used to it as we are...it can be dangerous and annoying!! And, here's me playing mom...be safe on New Year's Eve. I know you are all smart and will anyways, but drive safe and celebrate safely!!!

Here's to a great 2008 in the Midwest thread!!!!!

Oh wow, I loved PS I Love You.  It was just wonderful, not what I expected, but excellent.  It really isn't a good date movie, but I saw it with my friends, and we all loved it.  It's just wonderful.

I also saw Juno a few days ago.  It was good, and it had an interesting storyline and the acting was excellent, I just don't know if I loved it.  That might just be me.  But the period of time it took place in was a little out of whack to me, and it bothered me more than I'd like to admit.  And while I don't think it'll merit a second viewing by me, everyone else I saw it with really seemed to like it.  So it's very possibly just me.    :Smiley

I hope everyone has a great New Year's, and a wonderful 2008 as well.   Smiley
