3.22 - Those Are Strings, Pinocchio
« on: October 17, 2005, 01:06:02 pm »
Summary: As Rory's (Alexis Bledel) graduation day approaches, the Gilmore girls plan their long-awaited summer backpacking trip across Europe, even as Lorelai (Lauren Graham) faces the possibility that the recent fire will force the owners of the Independence Inn to sell the building. Rory takes matters into her own hands when she discovers that Lorelai is making a great personal sacrifice to pay for the Yale tuition. Richard (Edward Herrmann) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) present Rory with a lavish graduation gift, and everyone is touched by Rory's moving valedictory speech. Meanwhile, Luke (Scott Patterson) has second thoughts about a summer cruise with his new girlfriend.

I'm glad Jess returned in later seasons because this just seemed such a terrible way for him to leave, they both loved each other but it just couldn't work.

Tha was the flame!

This was the season fannaly to the third season I think and this one made you laugh and cry and everthing in between. Because Rory's speach made me cry and then the part when brad sung a song in stead of reading his poem made you think what was better the poem or the song

I have a question about this episode. When Lorelai said "Don't get engaged" to Luke, was that a dream Luke was having or did it really happen? That confused me.

Thanks!

I~LUV~LUKE are you the oldie ILUVELUKE ?
Here you guys might like these caps I just made (cause the caps site's tend to not have them...I have no idea why not):
(Lorelai telling Luke to commit to Nichole)
(Luke's reaction to that)

(Lorelai pretending to feel good about it)

(Luke's dream)

Man did I look a long time for these caps....and gave up the search tonight. When you want something done right ya gotta do it yourself I guess.  ;) ;D I hope you guys like them.
LORELAI: Oh, don’t be embarrassed Snuffy, I’m just teasing. It’d be a Mets cap.
LUKE: Could you possibly leave me and little missus alone for just a minute?
Luke: Got a handful of Barbie.

oh i love them!  this is one of my favorite episodes... i love how its written when Rory and Lorelai are leaving chilton.  "wait""what" "look around.."...."its not so scary anymore now is it?" "..nope"
i am just absolutly inlove with that scene!  its perfect! and its so funny before that when she's trying to leave their mark but everything was given to them by some guy or is 5000million years old (a little exagerated)

Yeah, me too. I loved the bit where the camera goes back and forth between Rory and the others trying to fight the tears. It's so funny how they point out who's blubbering and especially Luke's response. He's just so funny.
