Sooks- is there a OTH fan out here? Of course there is!
It's amazing. Full of drama and comedy. Like, you'll be all crying and stuff, then you'll start laughing. it's amazing. Amazing storylines, amazing acting, amazing everything. But I reccomend that you start at the beginning. That's the ony way you'll really get into it.
ONE TREE HILL SESASON 6 IS COMING ON SEPTEMBER 1ST.

Heroes- Does anyone know when it's coming back?

Friends used to be my favorite show and now it is my second favorite all time shows.  I have all ten seasons plus a few of the other special DVDs that they made.  I don't really watch the DVDs much any more, but I do still watch some of the reruns when I get a chance.  One of my favorite parts is when Rachel and Ross  go on a break and they have the fight because he slept with the girl from the copy store.  Mark has a fit when I watch those episodes.  He really hates Ross during that time period. He says that he is too annoying for him.  Really makes me laugh, Mark more so than the show.

I actually preferred Ross & Rachel when they were not a couple, especially in the later seasons. I know i'm in the minority on this but they were funnier when they were not together, bickering and having a friendly relationship. They were too mushy for my taste as a romantic couple. I preferred Monica and Chandler.

JIM ~  I agree with you.  At first I thought that it was great that Rachel and Ross finally got together, but that got old fast.  I liked the off and on stuff with them, but liked the off better.  I did like at the end of the series when she came in the door and said "I got off the plane".  I was so happy, I cried.  I did like Monica and Chandler together the best.  They were good and it was always funny with them, well, they did have their sad moments, too, but not so much of the mushy stuff with them, though.  Chandler was my favorite character on the show.  He is just so funny.  Matthew Perry is so funny.

Now there was a show, that when it ended, it ended well.  We needed that with Gilmore Girls.

^ ^ Wow, i'm not alone in the club!  Celebrate But i agree, at the end of the series it was great to see Ross & Rachel together. I was rooting for them by that point, possibly because i knew it was the end. I think their funniest moment along the way might have been when they got drunk in Vegas, marked each other's faces, conceived Emma and got married while drunk. Doesn't exactly sound funny but it was hilarious.  Smiley

One of my favorite Monica & Chandler episodes was the one when Chandler cleans the apartment to please Monica and then panics when he realizes she will freak because he moved the furniture. It's just so funny watching him in fear of Monica and then very touching to see how moved she is by his effort. When she sweetly tells him that she does not want him to be afraid of her, it makes for a great mushy moment.

Count me in as another Friends obsessed fan.  I adore the show not quite, but almost as much as GG.  And I too am a bigger fan of Monica and Chandler than I was of Ross and Rachel.  Although I too love the drunken Vegas jaunt that ends with them married.

I love that episode too Jim, especially when they use the photos to recreate the apartments layout!!  But I think one of my favourite moments for them was when Monica wanted to please Chandler and she thought he was into some weird shark porn. LMAO - the way she thrashed around just had me in tears.

I'm missing my Bones and How I Met Your Mother at the moment.  Can't wait for the shows to start up again already.

The last season of Friends is my favorite. I also love Monica and Chandler. They are perfect for each other, i especially love that scene after they fooled the pregnant woman by telling her they were the doctor and the reverent- when Chandler was talking about how Monica is an incredible woman and how it kills him that he can't give her a baby. That probably was the most romantic scene for me even though technically Monica wasn't in it.

Jim ~ that was one of my favorite episodes with Rachel and Ross as well.  It was really funny.  But, that isn't where Emma got her start.  That didn't happen for a couple more years.

I also loved that episode with Monica and Chandler.  I loved it when ever he was afraid of her.  Made for a lot of laughs.  My favorite serious scene with them is when Monica tried to propose to Chandler but couldn't do it because she was crying so much and he then proposed to her, but almost couldn't do it because he was all choked up himself.  The room was so pretty with all of the candles and it was just so romantic.

I also liked the 'stealing of the thunder' when they were going to go to the Plaza to celebrate Monica and Chandler's engagement.  That was a riot.   Oh heck, I could go on and on about my favorite funny episodes.

Caryn ~ I just snorted when I read about the shark episode.  I had totally forgotten about that one.  Oh so funny.

Sidney ~ we don't agree on who we like best with Gilmore Girls, L/L or L/C, but we do agree on who we liked best on Friends.  That scene where Chandler was saying how great Monica is and how much she wants a baby was such a sweet, touching scene.

i've been watching the search for the next elle woods on mtv 'cause i'm ahb-sessed with legally blonde the musical. plus, it's summer and nothing good's on.

i watched the middleman last night. it reminded me of the old batman & robin minus the "POW"s and "BAM"s that would appear on the screen. weird, sarcastic...giant gorillas trying to take over the world. so far-fetched that it was mildly interesting.  Smiley

I, too, am Friends obsessed.  I loved it right from the very beginning and I was such a loyal fan that it is the show which made me miss the beginning of GG (because during GG's first season they were on opposite of each other).  Re-watching it on dvds brings back a lot of good memories of what was happening during my life as the episodes originally aired.  Gilmore Girls stands alone as my favorite television show (and I have no qualms making that decisive of a statement - that's how much I love it), but right under there would be Friends.

I love Ross/Rachel and Chandler/Monica pretty equally.  The first couple was fun to root for during the first couple of seasons and the second was a wonderful story to follow in later seasons.  Hearts  Chandler is my favorite, favorite character.  Well, and Monica.  Definitely Rachel too.  And Joey.  And Ross.  And Phoebe.  Okay, I guess I love them all!  Nod

I NEVER missed an episode of Friends when it was in first run shows.  I thought that it was the best show ever.

Although I didn't see any episodes of Gilmore Girls until I saw the pilot on ABC Family the begining of February 2005, it is my all time favorite show.  I love the characters (even the ones that I hated because the show wouldn't have been the same without them), the story line, the way it was written and filmed and the actors who did such an amazing job at bringing the characters to life.  Just everything about it.  It was just so different from anything else that I have ever seen and will probably ever see again on television.  I wish that I had seen it right from the first airing in 2000, but I am so glad that I did finally catch it and came to love it later on.  I am so glad that I didn't miss it completely.  It would have been a big TV loss on my part if I had never seen it at all.

GG reruns here are followed by Friends reruns and when i have the chance (which isn't often enough) it makes for a great combo! Even though i have many of the GG seasons on DVD, it's fun to see the reruns on tv; almost - almost - like reliving the original experience.

That would be cool to go from GG to Friends.  Here GG is on at 5pm and Friends isn't on until 7pm.

My family thinks that I am crazy because when I am watching either on TV and they interrupt the show I get mad.  They tell me I can watch it anytime on DVD.  I tell them it isn't the same and they look at me like I have something strange growning out of my head.  Although it is nice to watch the episodes without the commercial breaks and little pieces cut out here and there and not having to see all of the advertising that pops up at the bottom of the screen when watching the DVDs.  It isn't the same as actually watching the reruns on TV.  (although I still have to watch the DVDs on TV, but you know what I mean)

Opps, my bad.  There is an episode of Friends at 6 pm.  I must just miss it because I go and start dinner right after Gilmore Girls.  Sorry about that.
I will have to try to see it at that time.  Or atleast part of it.

I am not the same. I hate ads and i always miss the right time for my shows. So i prefer watching on DVDs. Although i admit it was fun looking forward to new episodes every week on tv.

I have to agree with you, Sidney! How are ya by the way? I don't like the ads and I don't get to see the shows I like on the regular TV most of the time so I like to wait for the DVD and watch the whole thing at once. (or a few sittings) I also like having the shows to go back to and watch again and again and again.

I just did that with Rescue Me, a great show that I love, but I don't have cable so I can't see it even if I wanted to watch it week by week. It's a messed up show with Denis Leary, enough said, but has a great storyline and depth to it!

I have to agree with those that said they liked Ross and Rachel better when they weren't together. There was something about them when they weren't together. They stood on their own better, interacted with each other and others better. I don't know. I agree though.

I watch the Friends DVD sets as much as I do the Gilmore Girls I think. When I've had a really crappy day, I put them in and love it because I always end up laughing and that's the best cure for a bad day. However, I also put in the Gilmore Girls when I'm down because they seem to make everything better again! Smiley

Of course there's One Tree Hill fans out there...it was kind of a sarcastic or snotty thing to do/ask. I apologize. I will be quiet about that show now. Obviously, there's more than one OTH fan out there as I know it's taking over the Org lately it seems. I just had to say it...I'll keep my big mouth shut! (Though I didn't get quite the reaction I was thinking I would from the OTH fans. Tongue)

Right now, I'm waiting to see the new seasons of Dexter...
