Summary: After Lorelai (Lauren Graham) encourages Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) to ask out her produce man, Jackson (Jackson Douglas), she soon finds herself on the double date from hell with Jackson's very odd cousin, which makes Luke (Scott Patterson) jealous enough to finally work up the courage to ask Lorelai out. Meanwhile, Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lane (Keiko Agena) get into trouble when they double date with Dean (Jared Padalecki) and his friend Todd without telling their moms.

Rune was the pits.His stupid but kinda funny crack about Lorelai being an east german maid or whatever was funny.
The ending was funny when Lorelai found out that she was a babe.lol

This is a cool epsoide cause its nice to see something nice finally happen to sookie. I thinks its sad though that when Luke trys to ask Lorelai out he gets interrupted. That seems to happen an awful lot. Poor Luke it makes me sad.

I felt bad for Rory that Lane put her in that situation (to set her up on the date) and also for Dean. They were both uncomfortable with it (Rory & Dean), and then Lane ends up not having a good time and gets grounded! It is realistic, though! And it was funny with Rune being such a malcontent. And Luke and Lorelai at the end of the episode. He really does like her, and almost asks her out. Pretty good episode.

I think she was judging strictly on looks. (I don't even remember what he looked like, so I'm not saying my taste would add up with hers) She didn't know anything about him until the date.

You're right, I just checked the transcript. Although, if they only talked about Dean's old girlfriend, maybe she still hadn't realized how dumb he was.
On the other hand, Zach doesn't seem to be a candidate for a rocket scientist, so maybe that's just one type she's attracted to.
