I think Loreali did a good job at rising Rory up at such a young age. And the amazing thing is she did it all by her slef with no one help.

This is my favorite episode out of all the seasons......
Yeah this is one of my favorite epsoides ever I love flash backs. They give insight into what Lorelai and Christopher's lives were like before Rory came into the picture.  |

My only complaint would be that Young Christopher does not look like the present Christopher. I love this episode, and the flashbacks, especially seeing Emily at the end, and Chris and Lor hiding in the stairs as their parents talk, really really get some tears out of you. Watching them switch from Chris and Lor looking at Gigi and them looking at Rory was a really moving scene. ASP at her best!

Thats what I thought too... I thought the young Lorelai looked like the present Lorelai but not Christopher, but it was still good none-the-less... anyways this episode was one of my favourites out of the series. I loved the flashbacks, they really showed how Lorelai's and Christophers life was back then... (and how Richard and Emily were too). |

What an episode! So very, very sad. The scene with the young Lorelai in hospital all by herself made me choke up. And then when later Emily and Richard show up I had to chuckle. It wasn't that they didn't care, and that's why Lorelai was alone. They've always cared deeply for her, even though they suck at showing it most of the time.
I loved the flashbacks. Poor Rory stuck at the hospital. Sherry is hopeless! I guess it's perhaps a foreshadowing of her later behaviour.

I LOVE this episode! I think it was Chelsea Brummet who played Lorelai. She was good but not the guy who plays Christopher. Isn't she on All That?

yea thats who it was.. i really like all the flashbacks but it made me kinda mad when they showed chris saying how perfect Gigi was when he kinda just stood there while lorelai marveled over rory in the flashback

This is one of my favorite episodes. i love this episode very much. Its makes you understand better when Lorelai got pregant with Rory. What was it like when she was at the hospitial.l

Me too, Aimee!! One of my very favorites!!
This was the first box set I bought..and I bought it just for this episode. I absolutly loved getting to see all the flashbacks. It was really cool to see.
And just the entire thing about GiGi's birth cracked me up. The fact that they were going to have a party to send Sherry off..and then go to Sushi Sushi..HA. Oh..and I laughed everytime Maureene would say "Sherry screwed up!!". OMG..i couldnt get over how funny it was that Sherry wouldnt stop working..and was squating..and running in place. HAHA.
I thought it was soO great when Lorelai was telling Sherry what to expect..and she had this to say:: "And remember, when it comes out dont look it at too hard, until they give it a good cleaning, or you'll think you gave birth to phlegm."!!! that is great..
Here are some of my other favorite quotes from the show..
Emily:: My first trip to Europe, I went to Paris and stayed at the Ritz.
Lorelai:: Well, I'll tell you what, if it'll make you happy, we'll go to Paris and eat out of their dumpsters.
Lorelai:: Its from my mother ((referring to mysterious box on thier porch))
Rory:: What is it??
Lorelai:: Its heavy;; must be her hopes and dreams for me.
Rory:: I thought she discarded those years ago..
Lorelai:: Now we just have to figure out how to pay for it..how's your organ grinding??

This ep is awesome, i love the flashbacks. It shows us how Lorelai lived and how Rory came to be and how chris' parents along with lorelai's parents really wanted to hide the pregnancy. Its a great episode the writers are excellent and the cast are awesome!
