I see people having a problem with some of the codes in this forum from time to time. I have these problems still : That made me desite to make a list of some of them, eksplaining what to do. I don't know if it help to much, as i'm not that damn good at relaying information via text, but i hope it helps people a little.
NOTE: When i use () in this post it symbolise []. So when you read ( in a code string, you shall write [, and when you read ) in a code string, you shal write ].

As some might not know: To make a [ or a ] find out what key on you keyboard have them. Then hold down the "Alt Gr" key. While holding down the "Alt Gr" key, push the key with the [ or ] symbol.

That's for a specific brand of keyboards. For many keyboards, the [ and ] buttons are right above the enter and quote buttons. You don't need to use the shift key to get to them, either- you just press the button.

If you have a picture on your computer, you will have to upload it to an on-line media frst. I use Photobucket my self. But that's just because i don't know any others :

Insert hyperlink to specific post in this forum.
01. Find the post you want to link to.
02. Right click on the supject/ title/ name of the post (like "Re: I love fluffy things" as eksample).
03. Choose the chose between "copy" and "past" (i have it all in Danish, so... Copy shortcut/ copy link ?).
04. Then, when you paste, you will paste the URL to that specific post.
05. Follow the procedure for inserting URL's.

how do i make a pic smaller on my sig

Good question.
If you have a picture editing program on your computer you will most likely be able to do it with that. Refer to manual.
If not, you can use photobucket to some degree.
Make a photobucket account if you haven't already (it's free). Then you can decrease the pictures to some degree (not much chose) when you upload them from your computer. The formats that the free service provide are:
click for example - click example for real size
100 x 75 pixels
160 x 120 =II=
320 x 240 =II=
640 x 480 =II=
800 x 600 =II=
1024 x 768 =II=
Note that your picture won't be stretched/deformed. It'll keep the same ratio, or what it's call. Try it out

Click on your name in the Users Online thingy at the bottom of the main page, then click on your Forum Profile Information and upload a pic there.

Same as above just copy and paste the URL of and image into the box that says "Signature" remember to put the tags around it though.

I like this thread, I just discovered it.  One thing I don't get is how to do a hyperlink without posting the URL address.  Can you explain that one again. Mela has one in her sigs, she has something like Read the Rules here and it's a link.  How do I do that?

Ofcourse i will explain that again, for you, Melissa

Normaly, when posting a hyperlink, you do like this (url)THE URL(/url).
When you do that, the url is displayed.
If you want to display a name, instead of the url, as the link, you do this; (url=THE URL)THE NAME YOU WANT TO DISPLAY(/URL). Please note the "=" that would not normally be there.
What this shows is; you write the name you want to display, where you would normally write the link. And you write the link in the first clamp, after "url=" instead.

I hope i make sense in this early hour (0600 in Denmark). If not, ask again.

Okay I have a question.

I have figured out how to have a picture under my forum name but cannot for the life of me figure out how to have a picture at the end of a post.

I opened my photobucket account. Even though I only have two pics so far, it is a start.

So, if someone could tell me how to have a picture show up at the end of my posts, I would greatly appreciate it.
