I liked this one. This was really good. It seems that Rory still hasn't really forgiven Logan and the whole Life & Death Brigade thing doesn't seem that cool anymore to Rory.
Luke going on a field trip to be with April and her math team I think was really good. Especially in how, though awkward, Luke and April were getting to know each other. I think the best moment of their relationship was after he gave her a sweater, she said the word "dad" and the look on his face. Oh... it was getting dusty. He's starting to soften up a bit and I think that's nice. The scene where they were talking about Freddie was funny. Luke trying to learn that April is a girl who likes boys. It was funnier in Virtual Gilmore Girls Season 8 when in Episode 8.05, Luke visits April in New Mexico and he sees her room, that's filled with posters of shirtless boys. He kinda freaks out. In 8.08, the Thanksgiving episode, April asks Luke if she can call one of her friends about something which he does as Lorelai tells him that she couldn't believe that he would let her talk to her friend about a boy. He then freaks out saying, "Wait, that whole thing was about a guy?!" In 8.10, the Xmas episode, he hears April talking to Rory about that same boy who she calls "a total hottie" and he groans.
Lorelai getting freaked out about her parents buying real estate in Stars Hollow. Seeing them in Stars Hollow is funny. Then Lorelai having issues with the bag Anna gave Luke and of course, the huge wedding dress Lane is supposed to wear.
Finally, the final TV appearance of Jess Mariano. I think it was great to see Milo Ventimiglia for one last episode. It allowed the Jess character some closure that he's finally made it. The best part was for Luke and Rory to see all of this. Luke and Jess have an understanding and it's clear that Jess is more than grateful for everything Luke has done. Then there's Jess and Rory... I can understand that Rory is conflicted about her feelings for Logan. The kiss was great, then she pulls away. I kinda feel sorry for Jess about all of that yet in the end, he understood everything. There, I felt was a resolution about Rory and Jess. Though I know many want them to be together. The fact is, they always will be.
Jess also appears in Virtual Gilmore Girls Season 8 in Episode 8.05. Rory stops in Philadephia where she visits and hangs out with him. They talk about Luke/Lorelai being back together and Jess mentioning that if Luke and Lorelai do get married, he and Rory will become cousins. Rory freaked out a bit. Jess admits he talks to Luke more than his own mom yet he still contacts her where in fact, Liz, T.J., and Doula visit him where Jess is suprised at how much he cares about Doula. Rory, at the time is having problems being on the road and becomes critical about her own writing where Jess gives her some perspective and it's clear that Jess and Rory's relationship is becoming more like an adult friendship.
