Yeah, maybe she could have. It was a bit crazy of her to kick up a fuss with Emily around. She should know that doing that would just cause kak with everybody including Emily. Oh well!

This episode was fabulous. i was very anxious abt Jess meeting Emily. I just did not like the fact that Jess could not tell Rory the truth abt his swan attack.

Jess can be really silly sometimes! He may be smart and read alot, but that doesn't make up for the fact that he behaves really stupidly!

i didnt think he was behaving really "stupidly"... rory blew it out of proportion. she could have waited till after dinner to ask him about the black eye. then shes accusing him of being in a fight with dean... and the black eye had nothing to do with dean. i think rory was behaving stupidly...

she shouldn't have said he was fighting with dean and she shouldn't have discussed it in front of emily either. but i think that it wasn't rory's fault, cuz i mean it is jess and him and dean were fighting a lot during that time. but he should've just been a man and admitted it to her, so they wouldn't have an argument.

I think the fight would have happened. Rory wasn't going to believe anything he said. Not until she heard Dean say it wasn't a fight. If Rory had asked him at dinner what happened, and he said a swan beaked him, her reaction would have been that he was lying, that he thought of a really unbelievable lie, and that he told her that because he didn't want to admit that he got in a fight with Dean. She had it firmly in her head that there was a fight and it was Jess' fault.

I think that Rory totally overreacted at the dinner. Now yes, there is a time and a place for everything and feel that Rory of all people should know that. Jess came in, was being decent and polite, and to be totally honest, I feel he was trying to make a good impression in Emily while still being himself (not fake and phony). Rory was the one who provoked the confortatition. It was almost as if she was instigating the fact that there was a fight between Dean and Jess, right infront of her grandmother. There is a time and a place for everything and so I feel that Rory was wrong and could have discussed Jess's black eye in private, after the dinner so Emily wouldn't have been involved.

how in the world did Amy come up with Jess getting pecked in the eye by a swan.
i agree but then again her being the creator of gg she must be quite crazy!!!! i think rory was too quick to jump to conclusions about the black eye cos yes jess as luke said 'is a little tough sometimes' he is a nice guy and i think rory could have at least waited till after dinner for the interogation! i understand that jess was embarassed about being bitten by a swan who wouldn't be?! but he could have said something sooner. book tease!!!!!!!!!!!!! awww i like the last scene with rory and jess and then with lorelai and rory! i think that maybe rory and jess' relationship would have worked better if they were both able to compromise more and just get used to each others habits book tease!!!!

this is a cool episode but, always bugged me (mainly a consistency matter) that in this one alexis'/rory hair is a: longer or i think wavier, b: darker. looks good tho, still don't like that they didn't give her bangs to cover her forehead until like the end of season 6 and in this season

Luke: Rory was a kid, Dean. She grew up. She moved on. Accept it. Dean: You accept it. This town, it’s all you are, and it’s not enough. She’s going to get bored, and you can’t take her anywhere. You’re here forever. Luke: It’s different. Dean: It’s not different. You and me. Same thing.

I loved the fact that Jess got beaked by a swan. But he was stupid not to tell Rory, I mean, she'd laugh, but not be overly mean about it. The dinner was very funny. I was waiting for that, and it was very well played out. Lorelai and Sookie's musical sounded wonderful.

I didn't like the way Rory acted, she should have trusted Jess when he said he didn't get into a fight with Dean.
