the cw is so sure that their fall line up is good enough? LETS SHOW THEM IT'S NOT. i say we write the cw and explain to them that without GG we WON'T WATCH. and since i highly doubt they'll take our threat seriously, i say come september we don't watch! i know it seems drastic and too late to get gg back, but we should atleast teach them a lesson to listen when the fans speak!

yep... I really don't think I will watch CW anymore... I watch 7th Heaven, but it's not returning next fall either... and I watch One Tree Hill and Veronica Mars, but I could definitely live without them.   Especially One Tree Hill... that show is totally corny lol.    I do like Veronica Mars, but I am willing to boycott the CW and not watch it, cause this is the first season I've watched anyways only since it was on after GG....  I'm definitely not watching OTH anymore.

Aw, I loved that. The 1000 dasies was a nice touch Wink

aw thanks, I actually just took it out of the snail mail letter I'm send though, cause I'm not sure how many people are really sending them now... I want to send them, but I'm pretty skint and the moment. (I even speak Gilmore! lol)    Here's the snail mail version... I just put it the envelope and I have to walk to the post office to get stamps, that's how important it is that I'm going to walk just to get stamps!!

Ms. Dawn Ostroff, President of Entertainment
The CW Television Network
4000 Warner Blvd., Bldg 168
Burbank, CA 91522-0002

Dear Ms. Ostroff:

Please, please, please reconsider the decision to not continue with Gilmore Girls.  This show has meant so much to me over the years; there aren't even words to describe it.  I've laughed and cried through literally every episode.  It is honestly my most favorite show ever.  No other shows can compare.

I've read many things, some say it's the CW's/your decision and some say its Ms. Graham's and Ms. Bledel's, but I'm writing to you in case it was your decision.  If there is anything you could do to bring the show back, maybe even for less than the 13 that were being considered.  I read that the finale is suppose to "wrap up various storylines enough to satisfy fans" but that just doesn't sound very promising.  They need more time to end it properly especially since the return of Amy Sherman-Palladino.  If she hadn't returned I probably wouldn't even be writing this, but the show finally started getting back to the normal Gilmore Girls we know and love, and now bam it's gone.  This is truly heart-breaking.

Sincerely,

Bridget ****

Here's what I sent in an e-mail to Dawn Ostroff and I'm going to send it by snail mail today also.

19  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / The last lines... ? on: May 03, 2007, 07:20:40 pm
So do you think ASP put those planned last lines in the finale?  She said she's always known what the last lines were going to be... but since they shot the episode before the decision to end the show was final, do you think we're going to get to hear the famous last lines, whatever they are?   Anyone know if they are going to re-shoot anything because of this decision? If so, then they probably will get the lines in... but I wonder if they might re-shoot for other reasons too... ?

I sent Dawn Ostroff an e-mail, hope she actually reads it... I'm sure she has a ton in her inbox now! At least I hope so anyways... I sent it to the 2 e-mails on the first page of this thread, hope those are still current.

I'd also suggest that you (and everyone else) send a snail-mail off to her as well (possibly today).  A big stack of letters looks a lot different than a full in-box.

I suggest that as well.  No, wait ... I demand it!  Wink

~Heidi

will do!

well I said I would cry and I am... I teared up over the past few months just thinking of it ending and now it actually is. This is massively heart-breaking.  I just can't believe that this is how it's going to end, it finally started getting back to normal with the return of ASP but now just like that it's gone... I just can't believe they are going to end it like this with a half-assed finale. Unless they're going to do re-shoots before it airs now, but even then how can they sum up everything in 2 episodes. I want to Luke and Loreli get married and have a baby or at least be pregnant in the finale, and same with Rory and Logan, and I want to see Rory with a great newspaper job, well at least that could still happen...   I'm so incredibly sad right now.   Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry

I love Emily!! Kelly Bishop plays her so perfectly. I can't imagine anyone playing the part better. She my 2nd favorite behind Loreli/Lauren Graham... well maybe it's even a tie!

I love the credits too... and I was serious in the thread about which episodes you've cried at when I said I cry at everything. I really meant it cause I even cry at the opening credits!  I don't know, it's the combination of that song with all those clips, it makes me cry, but in a happy way lol... I should have added it to my list in that thread.... but usually I just fast-forward through them now so I wont cry lol... so I didn't think of it when replying to that thread.
29  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: How many Gilmore Girls episodes have you seen? on: May 03, 2007, 09:05:35 am
all of them!  I have seasons 1-6 on dvd (but I watched them on tv when they first aired as well) and I haven't missed any in 7 thanks to Tivo! Smiley
