Oh and also when you're seriously considering that if you have a daughter you would name her Lorelai. Cheesy

and every single time I drink coffee, Lorelai saying "coffee, coffee, coffee" to the girl at Weston's pops in my head (the one where the girl thought that meant she wanted 3 coffees lol)  (oh and I drink my coffee out of a Gilmore Girls mug btw Cheesy but even if I'm not drinking it out of my Gilmore Girls mug "coffee, coffee, coffee" still pops into my head every time Smiley )

I'm very proud to say that I not only saw them all on tv as they aired every tuesday, but I now am the proud owner of all seven seasons! Smiley

me too!!  And we picked the same screen name! Cheesy ("Max wears pajama bottoms" lol )

I watched them all as they aired on TV for the first time... and I've watched them all on DVD multiple times since they stopped making new ones 3 years ago.... I just finished watching Season 7 again and I'm about to start with Season 1 all over again!  I can't get enough! Cheesy

when I just finished watching every episode on DVD from Season 1 through 7, even though I already watched them all when they aired on TV and watched them previously on DVD as well.. AND I'm fighting the urge to start all over again with Season 1!  I think the urge is going to win!  I've been watching it since it first aired in 2000... 10 years later (and 3 yrs. since they stopped airing new episodes) and I still can't stop watching it!  Cheesy    Oh and when I cry during the Season 7 finale every time! And not because of what's happening in the episode but because I'm sad that there are no new ones to watch after that one. Sad  I need help lol

and we dont want to do what 7th Heaven did, and have a not so great last season, instead of go out with a bang like we were supposed to.

I disagree, I feel like to go out on a high note we need a few more episodes with ASP.
Good Point, but thats not going to happen.  And I think season 8 would scale down a lot more than it is allready.

well maybe I'm mistaken, but since I saw that ASP had a producer credit for the latest episodes I thought that she was going to become more involved again and therefore season 8 would have picked back up...  But either way I'm forever going to be angry that she didn't write the finale and we'll never know how she wanted it to end.. that is not right because it was her creation.

I wish that maybe they could have Gilmore Girls run a full season length, but  show episodes every other week.  It could cut down on the working time, and still fufill the "half season"

That's a great idea!   I wish they would do that!!

I am content with what I read, it answered A LOT of questions, and I don't feel nearly as angry and sad as I have for the past week.

I feel worse... because I didn't know that ASP was not having anything to do with the finale.

and I really don't want to hear that her and Alexis really didn't want to do the show anymore, that breaks my heart... I understand that they have to work way too many hours... so I don't even want a whole season 8, or even the 13 episodes, I know it can't go on forever but I would be happy with just like 5 more episodes WITH ASP.... cause they just need a little more time and ASP to end it properly.... I think it's completely wrong and awful that ASP didn't do any writing for the finale.. and those 4 words... we'll never know what they were... this is totally wrong! Sad

Ratings are based on percentages.  You could own a million tv's and have them on to GG and it wouldn't make a lick of difference in the ratings if you aren't a Nielsen family.  Basically, they have a certain percentage of people do forms about what they watch and a certain percentage have the box that records what they watch, then use percentages based on the number of people in the US, and how many of those are of TV watching ages (target groups) and so on.  So unless you know some Nielsen families, telling everyone to watch GG will not show up on the ratings at all.

That's what I was afraid of Sad    Just wanted to make sure....

A long time ago when I still lived with my parents we got a letter asking us to be a Nielsen family... but we didn't do it cause my mom said she didn't want to deal with installing the box... I wish she would have though...

Everyone, turn on ALL your TVs on your house to GG.
And tell your friends and family to do so also.

Does it really work like that?  I'll repost my question since there are so many pages here that things get lost lol.

"I will also tell everyone I know to tune in... but that made me wonder how does the whole ratings thing work anyways?  If anyone knows please explain... cause the only thing I know is something about having to be a member of the Neilsen panel thing... so how does it help if you get people to watch when they aren't even a member of the Neilsen thing?  Cause I don't know anyone who is part of the Neilsen ratings panel thing.... I think I read somewhere that they can also get ratings through tivo or something.. that would be cool since I have tivo...  but anyone know for sure how it all works?"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nielsen_Ratings

Have a look at this page, it's about how the Nielsen Ratings work  Wink

I already read that, before asking my question... cause I just don't get how telling everyone to watch if they are not even one of the select households who are a part of the Neilsen panel, then how does it help?  Cause it seems to me that if we want higher ratings we have to find people who are part of the Neisen panel to watch it.

I've been trying my best to tell everyone I know to tune into GG these next two Tuesday nights to get the ratings up.. but I'm not sure how effective that has been, seeing as I do not know many people.  I was thinking of making some Save Gilmore Girls flyers and posting them on telephone poles around my town?

13  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the last words in the series? on: May 05, 2007, 08:43:24 am
my question now is, since they didn't know when filming the last episode whether it was the series or season finale.. do you think she still put those planned last lines in there?

Quick question, is it Mrs. Ostroff or Ms. Ostroff?  I keep seeing Ms., but i read somewhere she was married...  I dont want to offend her by putting Ms. if its really Mrs.

Well Ms. could either be married or not... so I'd go with that.   Cause if she's married it would offend her to put Miss and if she's not married it would offend her to put Mrs.  Ms. if for either.
