Hi an alle!

Also, wir brauchen eure Hilfe!
2  Gilmore Girls / Cast and Characters / Re: The "I Love You's" of Gilmore Girls on: June 25, 2007, 01:47:39 pm
I like Luke saying to Lorelai: "I love you and I'm gonna marry you and at our wedding...we are having lobster."

A great I love you line!!

I agree I love this one. It was the first time we heard the L word to Lorelai. I like when Lorelai says back "I really need to hear that once in awhile"

Does anybody know when Lorelai said "I Love You" to Luke the first time?
she says it in 6x22 - "Partings"  Wink

Yes, but I think we're supposed to assume that they've told each other "I love you" at the very least once before.

A bit of good news: has put up the petition link and a link to this thread (in fact, they posted almost my entire email. Which is very good but I'm not too thrilled about seeing my real name on the internet for the whole world to see... I asked them to remove it and I really hope they will)

stracciatella and others -- If you get responses from websites that think that there's no point -- let them know politely that that's *exactly* why the campaign exists.  Sure, Amy says she wants to do a movie in a year or two and Lauren is deferring to her, but any letup in pressure will ensure that not even *that* happens.  By contrast, keeping up pressure when people were saying there was no point is what got Firefly its theatrical movie capper, Serenity.  So there's really no point in saying there's no point.

I'm trying. I emailed back but haven't gotten an answer yet.

i just watched the lauren graham on the conan show. how does she not remember anything!?!!?!?!?! mygoodness!! What

I'm sure she was exaggerating. I remember an interview where she said she could still do certain scenes from 4 years ago if she had to. And the monkey lamp thing was 7 years ago. If I were her, I wouldn't remember either. It's like memorizing stuff for school. You just forget a lot of it. It's normal.

A little update on the petition link on German websites:

I have contacted somewhere around 25 websites but I'm not having much luck. One website has the link on the main page. And I got two more responses. One saying that they will put up the link as soon as their news section is working again and one saying that they don't want to help us because they think there's no point in doing so.

Is anyone else contacting websites (except Fran, divine and Junkie)? We really do need to spread the link some more! The signatures have been coming in slow recently.

Come on, guys, we need to step up!

I'm currently working on contacting German websites about the petition link and I started wondering whether anyone has contacted And has anyone actually contacted any websites that are in English?

Heather, I sent you my donation for the LDDC. 1000 yellow daisies  Grin The money should clear in a few days.

Since we haven't heard anything about Heidi's website lately, I have a suggestion. I think someone offered to do this before but I can't remember who it was. In my opinion we need a website ASAP, especially for the Little Daisy Duke Campaign. We need something other than this thread to steer people from other websites towards. This thread is scary Wink .
Is there anyone who could create a very simple website, just to put up the LDDC and some basic information about the Campaign? IMO we need something to bridge the time gap until Heidi is done with her website.

So, I say: if anyone is up for it, go ahead!! What do you guys think? Do you agree?

Does anyone here speak Spanish, Italian, Greek, Dutch, Polish, or any other language and is willing to take on the websites in this particular language? The link on the French (and German, but especially the French) websites brought so many signatures to the petition! Europeans are SO into Gilmore Girls - we just need to let them know about the petition!

I now have divine's list of German websites and I'm going to try again with the ones that didn't put up the link.

BTW: Vote for Lauren Graham in the lower left hand corner:

@divine and junkie: About those German websites. If you give me a list of the ones you asked to put up the link I can go check whether they did or not. And if they didn't I'd be happy to email them again.

I have noticed that on many websites people are pretty negative about this petition and the Great8Mandate. But they usually don't know any of the important facts! So I'd suggest that, if we notice a bad attitude towards the campaign on a website, we don't just ask the webmaster to put up the link but we explain to him/her why it's still possible to get an 8th season (some even think it's not possible because the sets are being torn down) and why it is important to fight for a movie (many seem to think Amy is definitely going to make one, they don't get that we need to keep up the pressure).

Does anyone on the board write in French?  There is a website
I looked thru it and didn't see any posting for the petition site.  Maybe someone who is fluent in French can post it or at least send an e-mail to the webmaster.

I have send an e-mail in French to the webmaster to post the petition link on his main page. I also requested him to write back or on this board so that you can all be notified.

Thanks so very much for writing to the webmaster!

Hello !  I added the banner for the petition on my site. ( If Ca interests you, veiled other suceptibles European sites to agree A to put. Gilmore Girls counts fans in Europe enormously.

 Bye bye

I'm afraid I'm not sure what you're saying. Did you ask those three websites to post the link? Or are you suggesting we should?

ETA: By the way, thank you for adding the banner!

And Rob, I think you should calm down a little bit. The Mandate was a cool iniative by heidi and you try to morph it into total obsession.

Wow, that wasn't fair to say at all. Rob is trying to keep the Campaign going strong and doesn't deserve comments like this.

ETA: Any news on the website?

@ She says to ask Amy about a Gilmore movie.  So since Amy's moving to NYC for Jezebel, I (Rob) say, Amy Shmamy movie shmovie, if we're going to get Gg anything, we've got to go through Lauren and The CW.  If Amy wants on board, then she should make it known at the time, otherwise, Lauren and the CW are the ones to get it moving again.

@Rob: Maybe I'm slow but I don't get your reasoning here. I don't think that Lauren would do anything to make this movie happen unless Amy approaches her. When it comes to a Gilmore Girls movie Amy has to get the ball rolling. And to be honest, I get the impression that a movie is all that Lauren would be up to right now. So we need Amy.       ( ---> send her daisies!) JMO

I just found this:
In the left hand corner a sign keeps switching between "Tell a friend" and "Gilmore Girls. Help make season 8 a reality. Click GO to do your part.".
It takes you to this:

"Kidzooka Supports The Great8Mandate!
Gilmore Girls fans demand it and we're here to support it. At this very moment, the is doing everything they can to generate support for an 8th season. And why not?!! The GG is only the best TV show ever and deserves to run forever!

So what can you do? Well, for one, you can visit the They have all the names and numbers of people who will ultimately decide the fate of the GG. So click the link below to start turning up the heat.

Another thing you can do is have a party. That's right, a party. Kids just like you are holding "Save The Gilmore Girls" parties all over the country to help spread the word and generate support for an 8th season. If you plan on hosting your own party or have already done so, we'd like to hear about it. Just use the link below to provide us with all the details."

I couldn't find any contact information or I would have tried to get them to put up a link to the petition. Does anyone know who runs this page and how to contact them?

There's a poll on TwoP ( "With Jericho fans going bazoo trying to save the show, what campaign will be next?"

Veronica Mars is winning (59%)
Gilmore Girls is third (8%)...

There's also a post on Gilmore actors:
"Gilmore Girls - Extra - With the show winding down, what will become of the cast of TV's beloved mother-daughter-boyfriend-crazy-town comedy-drama? Should Kelly Bishop go back to singing? Does Scott Patterson's hair present a problem? We answer these questions and more..."
