The addresses for the "Girls" have been posted as well.

Where? Huh There were too many posts for me read and I got bored so I skipped over the last post.  Tongue

It is important that letters are sent to both really.  There is no point just directing mail to the actors and trying to sway their minds, if the network has no idea for the demand for the show out there.  And I guess the same could be said for vice versa.

From what I've heard the execs. seem to really want an 8th season I mean they were pursuasive enough to make Lauren a Producers of the show and there have been quotes where they seem to be negotiating with the actors. There's very little they can do if the actor is as dead-set not to as what is seems to be. However, I'll agree that it wouldn't hurt to send letters there either. I also think perhaps if the WRITING has better PLOT ideas for certain characters to allow developement, then maybe it would be easier to them to decide to stick around for another year. I think by the time everyone comes back from summer break before shooting that the writing should be reasonable enough and could possibly ALMOST match the previous seasons.  Is there a contact for DR or one of the head writers?

I'm a big supporter for this compaign however, I believe the problem lays in the actor's hands not the production of it. If the actors aren't in it all the way very little an executive can do to change their minds. Money means alot but it doesn't mean EVERYTHING. So if letters are being sent I think they should be directed to the actors in question. Do some research and maybe you can get an "In Care of..." address for the actors. That way our feelings could truly reach those who might be waivering. Other than that I'm with you guys.

This is just my opinion, I'm just concerned for the mission that's all. I honestly believe that there will be 8th season because I think they can put up with just one more year and one more year can change everything about the show.

Actually she said Richard III, because Shakespeare portrayed him as having a hunchback and a crooked arm kind of like the way Lorelai does when she says it.   Sorry, guess that is picky of me.

Ah, that's right I'm sorry. I couldn't stay awake enough to read Shakespear besides MacBeth. Also, I have a tendacy to mess up quotes unless the website is updated with the script so I can copy them. Until then take pity on this unfortunate soul  Wink

I do have complaints about the episodes mostly about the horrible camera shots, the confusion over some of the "facts", reusing some old tactics of the previous seasons, TJ's being a jerk about Lorelai (she was very nice to him, what's his problem with her?), and Rory's slow reactions to Mitchum's dinner.

As for the whole Mitchum thing, I agree the whole situation was weird and Mitchum seemed to me to be fake. Like using sweet words to try and cover up the real meanings behind them. I do think he believes Rory to be a tool he can use to get Logan to do what he asks. He still takes no effort in getting to know his son well enough to know it might have started that way but Logan has done the rest of it on his own. I think Mitchum might had been thinking to try and convince Rory to convince Logan not to invest in that company or any company that may challange his own. There's a possibilty he knew about the press reveiw about to print about Logan's risky big move and intended to find a way to step in unfortunetly he didn't move in fast enough. SO now he think he has Rory who can leak info about Logan to him or to be able to tell Logan if something is a bad idea and hope it will work. Maybe Mitchum's intentions are in the right place but the reasons behind it however are only for selfish purposes.

Hello, I'm mostly known for being on the CW boards but I've seen this website for a while and finally decided to join. My membername here and there is: "JillianLovesFood" however, I more often use my main screename: "linalon". I have a Myspace but I rarely use it. I do however write like a maniac on Fanfiction.Net. I'm very proud of my seventh season fanfic: "Taking Responsibility Without Being Responsible" the episodes are really long because I write it out exactly the way I would want to see it on tv but it's really worth taking the time to read it. I happen to have a knack for gilmorisms and fast talking since I'm used to it in my own family AND one of my favorite animes has the same kind of pace as GG does. That's right, I'm mostly an Anime Chick so it's hard for me to find tv show that I deem worth watching. GG is definately on the top of my list.

I'm known to voice my opinion mostly to clear the air on certain things. Some people may think that I post like a know-it-all but most of what I have to say has very strong points and I tend to rationalize. I save my posting for only times when I feel as if it's neccessary to speak and I often defend people on the show who I think is being unfairly judged.

Lorelai is my favorite character and I love her and Luke together. Um, I think that's all I need to say. I am crossing my fingers for an 8th season because I feel as if GG should come to an end where everything comes together and there's no way that can happen with the end of this season. There are many good ideas and storylines that can be created now that the whole Luke,Lorelai, Chris thing has finally been sorted out.

Okay, I'm done know.
366  Episode Discussion / Season 7 / Re: 7.15 - I'm a Kayak, Hear Me Roar on: February 21, 2007, 08:27:03 pm
Personally I thought tonight's episode was one of the best of this season. Reasons:
1. Lots of Lorelai and Rory bonding moments
2. Lots of side characters made appearances (aka- Sookie, Liz, TJ, Babbette. Miss Patty, the mention of Eastside Tilly, Kirk)
3. Every character was spot-on Lorelai acted like good old Lorelai, Rory was good old Rory, Emily was Emily even at the end, Richard was Richard and etc.
4. The humor added was refreshing because there were funny moments, lots of one-liners, and the references weren't too hard to follow/ there wasn't a jumbled mess of them all at once.
5. Oooh foreshadowing moments involving Lorelai and Luke. First Liz mentions how right Lorelai and Luke are for each other and all they need to find is a wormhole to bring them together again. Then not too soon afterwards Emily consoles Lorelai about her separation with Chris and mentions maybe someday she'll get married this time for good.
6. Background music's back again AND there was a song playing in the background with the last Rory/Logan scene.

My favorites moments were:
1. When the Jeep ran out of gas. Totally unexpected and totally GG
2. When Lorelai went to Friday Night diner and that Maid who spoke with quiet, mumbled words and walked off. Leaving Lorelai saying: "I must have bad hearing today," Then later when Emily mention no alchohol(sp?) Lorelai said: "My ears MUST not be working tonight,"
3. Emily asks if one of them wants a Roy Rogers and Lorelai adds: "Or how about a nice Jim Dandy or a Howdey Doodey?"
4. Patty and Babbette's metaphore of Hen, Beagle and Ostridges. Followed by Kirk not getting what they meant and taking them literally.
5. Lorelai walking in on Paris and Doyle doing Yoga. Especially when Lorelai asked if Rory was sleeping and Paris replies with: "Spiritually asleep or literally asleep?"
6. Liz's reaction to everything Luke told her about what happened with Lorelai. She was so blown away and happy, because she was concerned about Luke being lonely
7. When Richard compared golfing to Hamlet and leaves the table then Emily comments with: "This is completely absurb," Lorelai: "You're right this is rediculous golf is not at all like Hamlet... it's more like Henry the 5th because they're all hunched over,"
8. Logan and Rory didn't bore me in this episode as much as previous ones and I like the big Gilmore Birthday Bash Rory planned for Logan. Especially the Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Moose .
9. Lorelai's wanting to put off telling Emily and Richard about her separation with Chris was definately Lorelai's usual pattern. Then Rory reminding her about saving the Chickens (nice little poke at Sally there  We love you Sally  )
10. Lorelai and Emily's moments of bonding. Lorelai actually looked freaked out when Emily put her hand on her shoulder. Three steps foward... however I knew it was too good to be true and I was right.... two steps back.
11. When Liz and TJ left because I sighed in relief just as Luke did. Then he sat down right next to the phone and you can see this look of considering to call Lorelai in his face.
12. When Luke was pretending he was asleep and after hearing Liz/TJ convesation about him and Lorelai, he laid there in bed looking very remorseful.
13. Lauren's eyes were very blue in this episode and I just love seeing that! I wish I could have blue eyes like her
14. Emily saying: "Fishy Fish" was funny then Lorelai comments with: "Green Beany Beans"
15. Emily using Canoes and Kayaks as a metaphor for life and stating how she thought Lorelai was a kayak.
