16  Gilmore Girls / Relationship Threads / Re: Java Junkies (Lorelai and Luke) - We all love the chick beer! on: January 19, 2008, 04:25:36 pm
I like that make-up moment too bingbong. My favorite is in season 4 when Luke and Lorelai keep fighting and almost making up in "Clamor and the Clangor" (or whatever that's spelt) Luke: "Fine!", Lorelai: "Fine!" then when the bells ring... Lorelai: "Want to help me break the bells?" Luke: "I'll get my toolbox". No apology neccessary. Just jump right in. Then of course later when they're inside the church and Luke asks why his moving out with Nicole bothers Lorelai so much and Lorelai said: "Because I don't want you to move" Luke: "Why?" Lorelai: "Because..." and of course I get that feeling like she's about to tell him she loves him or would miss him too much or something like that but the stupid reverend had to interrupt.

Also, the makeup in "Not as cute as Pushkin" was cute.

I'm currently in the process of trying to get my L/L wedding episode of my fanfiction done but I'm hitting wedding snags. Is it okay if I use some of the things we did in the wedding here?

LGfan4ever and anyone else confused by the pregnancy rumor...

Damn, I was hoping with the destruction of the CW's Gilmore Girls forum the pregnancy rumor would disappear but obviously it hasn't. Seriously the source of the rumor came from someone's personal website that stated such... and that was back in August.  Angry I worked very hard to try and assure members there this was just a rumor being fed to spread by insensitive members of the CW boards who kept on egging on the issue. Lauren was in NY in October but now she's in SF... she did three movies, several commercial voice-overs, movie premieres, and now she's working on another movie.  Wall My God she's only one woman... give her a break if she doesn't go out and party like she's 20 years old again. I agree that she IS getting older so her body is going through natural changes. She's not fat or pregnant but with the unfair scrutiny of the public eye focusing on the vainity of beauty in a conquest to try and make oneself feel less inferior to that which they envy and do not understand in this world is like scapegoating. It's basically using a person who is admired/envied and trying to belittle them with rumors to try and make oneself feel more secure with their own flaws. In other words... get off her back whoever might be spreading this rumor! Pregnancy is serious and whether it's true (hold your breath until the news hits) or not it's none of anyone's business except for hers. IF it WAS true and she wanted people to know she would have but IF she didn't and is purposily keeping it from the public I don't blame her one bit. It's a private matter... her private matter and no one else's except hers and/or the supposed "father". Oh yeah wait until you hear THAT one...  :Smiley Smash

Amazing videos Javajunkies! There are some seriously wonderful videos on Youtube some of them bring tears to my eyes. I wish I could make videos but I have a hard enough time with just using Paint and screencaps.

Yes, Bingbong that's exactly the kind book I gave them. Grin

I just received a mysterious letter;
"Book coming in handy whenever Luke pisses me off I just hit him over the head with the book... I assumed that's what it was for. Seriously, thanks for the REAL wedding gift of the Horoscope clippings/frame you gave me. We're going to hang it up once Paul Anka drops his guard.... Babette informed us he's mysteriously attached to it for some reason. Having a great time in vacation land oh, and Luke grunts a hello... he's a tad upset with you I can't figure out why. Then again if he's NOT upset about something then something is REALLY wrong. Thank everyone else who were kind enough to get the wedding shindig rolling. It really meant a lot to us. Afterall everyone was there from the begining watching us evolve to where we are now. We really have a chance of having that family life we always wished for. Someone e-mailed me a download file of the wedding video and I can't stop watching it. I'm addicted to it. I mean my mother and Mrs Kim drunk and singing a duet is a good enough mental image to keep me laughing into eternity. But the scene I keep rewinding and playing over and over again is when; Kirk got to close to the candle table piece and caught his sleeve on fire. Then Taylor threw a pitcher of water to put out the flames but he missed and drenched Kirk. Finally, Lulu threw him down to the floor and stomped on Kirk’s arm to snuff out the fire. Classic Kirk situation that reminds me of all the crazy but loveable and supportive people back home who are awaiting our return. It even makes me a little home sick and it's good to have that "home" feeling. Thank-you once again.

Oh well thanks for trying anyway. I was in between saying she was Piesces or Aries so when you said Aries it made up my mind. It was for the Luke/Lorelai wedding gift for the JavaJunkies wedding. Also, it's a little more helpful when writing fanfiction. I thought Lorelai and Lauren's birthdays were close to each other's but I couldn't tell how close.

Happy New Years to you too!  Grin

I stopped by but I couldn't find enough time to post here. I loved the ceremony...

Let's see my gift to the happy couple.... a "Marriage for Dummies" book.... I'm kiddin.  Tongue Okay so maybe I slipped it in with the gift "accidently" to see Luke's reaction.  Cheesy

Either way the real gift I got them  was hand-made. I cut out the clippings of the Horoscopes that printed in the newspaper December 31, 2007 for both Scorpio (Luke) and  Aries (Lorelai… I’m guessing). I had them framed with the horoscopes tied together with white string and laces around them.

Here is what the NY Post Scorpio’s horoscope reads….
“You may have strength and stamina to spare but according to the planets you are working too hard and need to slow down a bit. You might also like to question your attitude toward certain responsibilities. It's good of you to take charge but you will be no good to anyone if you work yourself into the ground.”

Here’s what Aries reads…
“Your confidence is at an all-time high and looking ahead to the new year you honestly believe there is nothing you cannot accomplish, nothing that is beyond your capabilities. With that kind of attitude you are sure to go far. Don't waste time on second-rate objectives. Aim for the stars in 2008.”

Over the two horoscopes I wrote: "All that you two ever wished for will come true,"

Congrats to the happy new couple and as if by fate ABC Family showed "Lost and Found" where Lorelai helps Luke find an apartment and "pretends" to be his wife. I just hope like everyone else that we get to see this wonderful wedding a reality but if not at least we were given a chance to celebrate the possiblity.

BTW I think we should be able to celebrate this occasion all week long for those who might have missed it... it WAS New Years Eve afterall and some people might have been busy for the past couple of days.

What is Lorelai Gilmore's astrological sign? I think her birthday is some time in March, right?

Yeah it really makes me wish there was an 8th season too.... there were so many great opportunities for the characters and storylines to come together. However, we still have the hope of a movie and we still have our imaginations.  Kiss

Congrats on everyone for getting and signing the petition. We're waiting for the right moment to send it and deciding WHOM we should send a copy of it to. With the strike on sending it right now isn't good timing I think we should wait until it's over or at least after the Holidays. For any ideas or more information on it check out the "Save the Lorelai's" website.

All the sigs and invites are just amazing! It's hard to choose just one! Also, should I send a PM of speeches to anyone?

Hehe, I know him more from "Silk Stalking" Azn' ... that's a guilty pleasure of mine. Don't get me wrong I love how I he was Jess's Dad and I didn't keep thinking of him as Chris (which is a big plus) but I can't help associating him with Silk Stalkings.
27  Gilmore Girls / Show and Cast Member News / Stars Hollow set used in Pushing Daisies Epi tonight... on: November 14, 2007, 07:02:19 pm
Yay, one of my favorite new shows is Pushing Daisies and I was happy to see the beautiful Stars Hollow set featured in tonight's episode. They used the gazebo some buildings and the church. There was a nice chase scene and a nice scene of Ned and Chuck sitting in front of the gazebo.

There is a quote from Lorelai that went through my head while I was watching this episode. It was about the history of the Dragonfly Inn and I think it also works for the Stars Hollow set...
"This place had a long history before GG, has a long future after GG. I keep thinking it's apart of GG's life, but, really, it's the reverse. For a little while. . .I don't know. . .it's like GG was apart of its life."

If you would like to help support the Writer's Strike Krisitin at E! suggests writting a letter stating how you feel to... "Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) at 15503 Ventura Boulevard, Encino, CA 91436"

The more letters the better. We should do our part to support ASP and other incredibly talented writers so there can be more amazing scripted shows rather than crappy ones or more Reality Shows. She also suggested boycotting Reality Shows since no actors or writers get paid but that's not a problem for me since I don't watch ANY reality shows... I don't even watch Dancing with the Stars or American Idol but there are many people out there that do so I don't see that working out.
29  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: Q & A Thread: 'Cause It Ain't All GilmoreClear ... on: November 05, 2007, 07:56:59 pm
Yes, it was definitely "Presenting Lorelai Gilmore" from season 2.
Oh that would be the reason why... I only watch the episode where Miss Patty is trying to teach Rory and Dean how to dance, then Chris and Lorelai do their little dance. Then Lorelai and Chris having a talk about working. Then little peices of the ceremony and that's it. Maybe I should be watching more GG closely, huh?  Tongue Thanks alot Bing Bong and Gilmorefriend that sure answers my questions Azn'

This is from Auisello's Blog on VM today.....
Speaking of the S-word, I just returned from Strike Central at New York's Rockefeller Central and you're never going to believe who I spotted on the picket line: Team frakkin' Palladino! Good thing I had the foresight to bring a video crew with me. To see highlights from my interview with AS-P — as well as fellow picketers Tina Fey and Seth Meyers — check back here in a few hours.
and here's the link to the video...

l'll agree that writers deserves way more credit and profit then what they earn however some of the demands are very unlikely to be fully met by tight-run production companies. I hope there's a middle where both sides will have to meet and soon.
