My name is: Jillian A. Seaman
Age: 26
Location: Salem, NH

My Grandmother and cousin are also fans but I would rather PM their info then have it on public display.
Is there a reason everyone is doing this?  I'll gladly put my name, but what is it.  Have i missed something?

Hey Kara,

I am compiling a list of the Season 8 supporters and where they're from.  Later this week, I'm sending press releases and statistics about the supporters of Gilmore Girls (ages, demographics, locale, etc.) to major dailies and the local papers in my area.  I'm basically making a "media packet," that can be sent anywhere -- to papers, magazines, even broadcast.  So I've asked everyone to fill that out and either post it, or PM it to me if they're more comfortable with it so I can start putting together the data.  Smiley

Thanks!
Heather

Hey Everyone!  I have been gone for a while lately, but have just read about the last ten pages, everything sounds fabulous!!  Just out of curiousity, for anyone who has sent letter to Lauren/Alexis and gotten responses, Approximately how much after you sent the letter?  I just want a rough idea because I had a few letters go out to the girls about ten days ago.  I also sent about ten letters at the very beginning of the Great8Mandate, and no response ever. [those were to people that work for the CW, like Dawn Ostroff, etc.]  Hope you can help! Keep up the fabulous spirits!

I just tried to leave a message for the CW Comment Box, and it is full. =]]  Good Work Guys, hopefully most of that is Gilmore fans.  They need to get it impressed in there head that it is Gilmore or Bust.

It's probably also Veronica Mars fans because they were holding out hope until today, but if the ratings proportions are any indication of the proportion of callers, then it was around 2 Gg callers for every 1 VM caller.  Perhaps a little closer since the VM news is new.  Maybe 1.75 Gg callers to 1.25 VM callers. Still, a lot of Gg viewers that didn't know about Gg had to have called in today.

BTW, I called the line early this afternoon as soon as I heard Ostroff's comments about Gg at the Upfronts.

Season 8:  Because The CW has to have realized that it screwed up by now.
Yeah, but still, it is good that we are calling in as well.  The new lineup looks terrible.  A bunch of shows with the density of Laguna Beach. [Yes, I'm a LB fan, but come on, the show is pretty pathetic.]  Not one worth watching.

Is there anyway we could get every state to contact their local CW? It may seem small but just an idea. I am losing hope. I don't want it to be over, but I just don't have the heart to keep believing it will be back only to be crushed. I can't handle being crushed again, but I also can't handle not having GG..grrr.
That sounds lik ea really good way to get our point across. We would need some help advertising it from Heidi or something, you may want to email/PM her. =]

good job with the phone call!
do you happen to know how much it costs?
i saw it was a 1-818 nmber so im thinking its free? but i want to make sure before i make the call because im outside the U.S and dont want a big phone bill from it. thanks =)
No, sorry, that is an Area code for the LA area in California, so it is not free. =[[  But, if you have a cell phone, calls are generally priced the same whether they are long distance or local.  Don't hold me to that though.

Hey Guys..
I finally got through to the CW Comment line. =]  I basically rambled on a bout how it wasn't an acceptable series finale and that I love Gilmore Girls and am an active participant in the Great8Mandate and that spoiling the Luke & Lorelai kiss was totally uncalled for...
Is there any major points I missed?

And--
I would love to participate in the Daisy Campaign, but I'm only 13 and my parents aren't exactly willing to give me money for daisies, so do you know [appx] how much it would cost to send a smal bouquet?

I'm sorry, but after seeing last night's episode I can't imagine it being anything other than a series finale.  The slow pans through all the townies, the many goodbyes between Lorelai and Rory, the closure with Emily and Richard, and even the ending for Lorelai and Luke.  Not to say that I wouldn't be thrilled with an 8th season (I would) but it would seem odd for them to bring the show back at this point, in my opinion.  I'm not saying anything about the Mandate itself by any means, I just wanted to show that not everyone was dissatisfied with last night's episode.
It's not that we weren't satisfied, it is that we knew that we deserved more.  And, even if it was a season finale, it would've worked.  And, anything that can work for both just doesn't seem proper, like it hasn't really closed.  The town would've still said goodbye to Rory, because she was going to Iowa for who knows how long.  So, I just think that we expected/deserved more from them, and they could've done better.  And, the network gave away just about the whole point of the finale in the previews, wish was extremely disappointing.

Hey Guys!
I have had terrible sleep all night, so in the middle of the night I have tried to call both Mr.Macguire's mailbox and the main CW comment box and  both are still full!!  Good job on stuffing the mailboxes guys.  Maybe we can keep those boxes stuffed for a while and they will finally get the idea, we thrive for a season eight.  Keep up the good work!!
