1  Gilmore Girls / Spoilers / Re: Discussion of Spoilers on: May 07, 2007, 08:52:40 pm
Seriously random question that probably doesn't belong here -

I just bought Season 2 on DVD and I hadn't really seen much of the season before. Lorelai speaks funny in this season.. not how she usually does. And its her actual speech, not just the words she says. Anyone else notice this?

Maybe I'm just crazy..  Huh
2  Gilmore Girls / Spoilers / Re: Discussion of Spoilers on: May 04, 2007, 11:18:46 pm
My fingers are crossed for a "satisfactory ending". It better be the best damn thing in the world, not just a 2 second long kiss and a "Okay, forever. This is it, babycakes."

I don't give a flying hoot if Lorelai comes across as a bed hopper. She's already painted herself as that. Sleeping with Luke again SHOULD happen. They should at least allude to it. Not just some dopey kiss at Rory's party where they awkwardly but "lovingly" avoid each other the rest of the night.

Such a nice picture!  Smiley

I'm staying small and just hoping for an 8th season! If we're so lucky to have that, then I'll start wishing for what I want to happen.

See, I'm 100 % fine with their first reconcilliation kiss being in the SEASON finale, so long as it isn't the SERIES finale. If the 13-16 S8 happens, then I think the long, drawn-out approach could work better. However, I'll be pissed as hell if they think thats gonna be an 'okay' series capper.

I'm not going to lie - the spoiler of Lorelai "saying the singing didn't mean anything" is kind of downing, but so annoyingly Lorelai. Of course it meant something. Now, I'm not saying that they're both in love with each other, but I'd definitely say there are some strong feelings there that, given the proper attention and circumstances, could blow right back up into love.

5  Episode Discussion / Season 3 / Re: 3.08 - Let the Games Begin on: April 18, 2007, 08:05:30 pm
I thought Luke was pretty funny with his:

LUKE: You are not allowed on either end of this apartment. You are, instead, to remain here in the middle portion of the room. You may sit on the couch or on the chair, as long as you two are sitting on separate seats, i.e. when you’re on the couch, then she’s on the chair. When she’s on the couch, then you’re on the chair.

JESS: I get it, thank you.

LUKE:
On weekdays, you will have her home by nine. On weekends, you will have her home by eleven. Any evidence of alcohol, cigarette smoke, or anything else that Nancy Reagan would find unacceptable and you will not be allowed near her without an adult present. Are these rules clear?
6  Episode Discussion / Season 7 / Re: 7.18 - Hay Bale Maze on: April 18, 2007, 07:59:08 pm
Oh, the whole Hasselhoff scene was pretty cute. With Logan dressing - socks and all - before going out into the kitchen?

Was I the only one who thought Luke laughed really hard in this episode. Perhaps he needs a handful of chill pills!

So my sources tell me that Ausiello is correct and that the show WILL be coming back for an 8th Season. There will be a pick up for 22 episodes, but Lauren and Alexis will have the right to opt out after 13 episodes (which, if they do opt out, means that most likely the CW would have the right to cut back its order from Warner Bros. because who wants a show without the girls?). Also, DR will be back as showrunner, despite the concensus being that he has not done a great job this year (big fat "duh" on that one)." - [email protected]

NEW - Ask Ausiello April 18, 2007 - thanks to [email protected]
Question: I'm excited to hear about the possible shortened eighth season of Gilmore Girls. Got anything new to report on that front?— Heather
Ausiello: At the show's wrap party Sunday night, everyone and their sister was talking about the short order as if it was a done deal. The only sticking point appears to be the number of episodes. I'm hearing 13, but I imagine the CW is trying to stretch that to at least 16. An official announcement is imminent.
Question: Can I ask you an honest question? Do you want Gilmore Girls to go on? Or do you think that they should end it this season?— Colleen
Ausiello: I'm torn. On the one hand, I think Rory's college graduation would be a perfect capper to these seven years. On the flip side, I'm not good with the goodbyes. Never have been, never will be. Now, if the show was in pitiful shape — along the lines of, say, the final season of Roseanne — maybe I'd be more eager to let it go. But I kinda sorta think our Girls have a little more life left in 'em. It could also be that I'm just on a high from last night's first-rate episode, which was easily the best of the season. Reminded me of the good ol' days.
Question: Please! For the sake of my sanity, not to mention my grades, in which episode will Luke and Lorelai finally reunite on Gilmore Girls?— Sarah
Ausiello: I can confirm there's a kiss coming up.

NEW - pifeedback.com - "...is 13 eps for next season becoming a REALITY???" - [email protected]

Kristin eonline - Glo in Boston: Any scoop on Gilmore Girls? Any gossip on it coming back? Some say "yes," others say "no." You aren't going to like this (sorry, it's hard for me to report!) but I think you can add Damian Pelliccione into the "no" column. He has a small part on the show as Rory's friend Lance, and at the GLAAD Awards he said: "I have one or two more episodes and that's it; my character dies off—no, doesn't die really, just the show's dying. And you'll see a lot of switching between Rory and Lorelai's character toward the end—it's a big juxtaposition. I can't give too much away, but you really see Rory grow up and mature by the end of this season." - [email protected]

Ausiello Report - " Negotiations to bring Gilmore Girls back for an eighth season took a veddy interesting turn on Friday. According to multiple sources embedded deep inside Stars Hollow, Lauren Graham — she on which all things hinge — is allegedly warming to the idea of returning for a shortened season, a la Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond. Word of this condensed scenario was "the talk of the set" on Friday, one day before shooting on the show's current season was scheduled to wrap. My spy was quick to add, however, that nothing's official and it's very possible this whole thing could unravel before anything's signed. One thing seems clear though: this little nail-biter is speeding toward a climax." - [email protected]

8  Episode Discussion / Season 7 / Re: 7.18 - Hay Bale Maze on: April 17, 2007, 09:49:15 pm
-Loved the Paris-Doyle-Rory-Logan interraction in the morning! Very cute. Doyle's comments on lactose were funny.

-Thought Michel was super-funny at the beginning, with Sookie? Sookie is by far one of my favorite characters, hands down.. um, no contest.

-Wasn't a big fan of Logan only coming to SH two years in a relationship, but I thought he stood up for himself and was a supportive boyfriend for The Big Rorster.

-Lorelai's comment about "reality" um, irked me. Seemed very hypocrticial. However, she spoke as if she was the Lorelai of earlier years.

-April was looking grown up! And the bracelet she gave Luke was really nice.. a, uh, a nice gesture.

-Hay Bale Maze was obvious symbolism. Kinda bugged me how obvious, but I indulged in Lorelai's face when Luke pointed her out Smiley

-LL Scene? Well done. It seemed like they just wanted to get it out in the air without having this big dramatic teary-tear scene. I admired that.

Hands down my favorite part of the episode was Zack. He's grown on me SO MUCH. He's so funny now, with the diner and the hay and the memorizing? Good stuff. All the talk about Kwam and Steve's legs and torsos? Funny!

I liked the mentioning of a "spork" household.

I did approve of bringing Mia in and referencing the Emily/Mia event from ages ago. It was the first and only thing in this whole season that felt like it had some ASP in it. What did NOT feel ASP was Mia being portrayed by a different actress. If ASP couldn't get the original actress, she would have rewritten the episode so that we never actually see Mia, or ditched the episode altogether and found a different way to revisit these old wounds. ASP would NEVER have hired a different actress. She at least knows how damaging that is to the suspension of disbelief. I just could not feel comfortable the whole episode because I spent most of the time annoyed at how different Mia was.

ASP wasn't perfect either. She was the one who used Sherilyn Fenn as both Jimmy's girlfriend and Anna Nardini.

NEW - Studio Tour - "The story I've heard is that Alexis is absolutely not coming back and the network has accepted that and moved on. Lauren, on the other hand, has also said she is done, but the network is still throwing money (and the promise of future deals for her little production company) at her in the hopes she will reconsider. But generally speaking, it seems unlikely that there will be another season." - [email protected]

NEW - Studio Tour - "Our tour told us on Thrusday, that the one and only thing they are waiting on is Alexis. She doesnt know if she wants to sign for another year. The network and mostly everyone else wants to get in one more season. That was what I was told." - [email protected]

NEW - Studio Tour - "The tour guide (who was once the real mayor of Burbank) said that Alexis is the hold out, everyone else is signed, but the rumor is she really does not want to act. Sounds weird, but he says they have heard that she feels like she gave up her teenage years working so hard on this and needs a break. Don't know if it is true, but it is what was said." - [email protected]@FanForum

I think that if Alexis doesn't sign on to come back for an eighth season there would be little for Matt to do.

Ha, literally.  Smiley
