2  Gilmore Girls / Appreciation Threads / TJ Appreciation on: July 19, 2008, 09:48:14 am
I noticed there was a TJ unappreciation so I wanted to start a TJ appreciation thread.  I love TJ!!  He is so funny.  He has a quircky personality but we find that it works and he really isn't as dumb as he seems.

My favorite was when she introduced her boyfriend at the end of season 4 and said he lost a bet so he had to speak in cliches.  That scene was funny Cheesy

Why can't there be a cat fight between her and Rory?

Rory would probably win.

That would be SO AWESOME!!!

I loved Dean and I was so sad when they turned his character into a grungy looking cheater in Season 4 and 5.

I am confused as to why Lindsey was complaining about being bored and sitting at home all day yet wanting more money.  But maybe that was their agreement.  Think back to the Donna Reed episode when Dean was dating Rory.  He wanted a wife to stay home and cook for him and dote upon him.  Yet, he should have realized that it wasn't making either of them happy.
7  Episode Discussion / Season 5 / Re: 5.20 - How Many Kropogs to Cape Cod? on: July 17, 2008, 12:31:29 pm

Though I also don't understand Lorelai's objection to Logan's white lie to leave dinner early. "What 22 yo has an early Saturday?" This is coming from a woman who in her youth climbed out windows and knew 23 secret ways to leave that house. And when Luke was going for dinner there she was talking about feigning food poisoning to leave early. Now I'm supposed to believe that she's offended by his desire to not hang around after dessert?

EXCELLENT point.  Maybe Lorelai just has a hard time liking anyone that's not Dean.....?

FINALLY!!  Someone who thinks as I do about Dean having a right to be jealous.  Anyway, back to what this episode is about...I also don't just fault Lorelai for having a weakness for Christopher.  Sure it takes two, but I think he took advantage of her the night of her breakup with Luke.  And Christopher shouldn't have asked Lorelai to marry him.  Sure she could have, and possibly should have, said no.  But Christopher was going to have a problem with Luke no matter what the truth was.  He didn't trust Lorelai. (And she didn't trust him much, either.)
9  Gilmore Girls / Relationship Threads / Re: Rory's Boyfriends Discussion on: May 30, 2008, 01:25:43 pm
I just watched Season 7, the one where Richard has a heart attack.  The way Logan was there for Rory totally backs up his decision to propose to Rory.  And Rory's actions give him no indication that he shouldn't.  But I think she was leading him on a little in that eppy.

I also have wondered about the school contacting Luke about Jess not graduating.

Cherilee--

I wonder how it all went down that night with Lorelai and Christopher.  I definitely think he took advantage of her.  Also, though, she is pretty weak when it comes to Christopher and sex.  I mean, she could have shoved him away and said no.

Luke was so nice to Lorelai and even trusted her to write the character reference.  In my mind, I would be thinking that the whole time she was just thinking about and maybe even sneaking around with Christopher.  I would be way too hurt to even speak to her anymore.

i feel so bad for him in season 7.  Especially the first episode.  Lorelai is awful.  I can't believe he got over being hurt so quick.
13  Gilmore Girls / Appreciation Threads / Re: Max Medina / Scott Cohen Appreciation on: May 25, 2008, 11:56:14 am
I agree, too.  He has better communication skills than Luke or Christopher.  And he's not complicated!!
14  Episode Discussion / Season 7 / Re: 7.09 - Knit, People, Knit! on: May 24, 2008, 10:11:29 am
Anna is so retarded.  I am so glad Luke stood up to her at the end.  I'm sorry, but this "She's my daughter" thing is getting old.  Luke is right.  When she agreed to let Luke see April, she agreed for him to be her father.  They SHOULD make decisions together.  She can't just make him be her father when it's convenient for her.  She let April stay with him for two months!!  And she can't just decide not to make decisions about it right now.  She made the decision to move.  Heloooo....She makes no sense.  Luke had every right to tell April she could visit and Anna had no right to have such a lame freak out.  She is so moody.  Ooooh she made me mad.
15  Episode Discussion / Season 7 / Re: 7.01 - The Long Morrow on: May 20, 2008, 08:50:57 am
I used to be so mad at Luke for the break up of him and Lorelai, but after seeing this episode again, I am very mad at Lorelai.  I completely don't understand how she could sleep with Christopher if she was ever in love with Luke.  It makes no sense to me.  I have no understanding of the complexities of sex before marriage.  I very confuzed.  She totally broke Luke's heart.  Weird to me now how he could run to her like he did at the end of the season/series.
