After last week's touching tribute episode, ABC continues to honor the memory of John Ritter with a show-must-go-on attitude and the airing of his last three episodes of this amusing sitcom, including this premiere. The network plans to continue the show with a replacement star, but it won't be the same without Ritter.

Gilmore Girls
On a happier note, Gilmore Girls returns, with all its whimsy intact. Mother-daughter buds Lorelai and Rory (Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel) return from a European backpacking trip to find a few surprises waiting for them back home in Stars Hollow and to cram in a week's worth of activities before Rory heads off to Yale. Sometimes it's too cute for its own good, but any show that can dis both Sofia Coppola and Mary Poppins is worth watching.
