"Gilmore Girls" co-star Jared Padalecki has inked a talent holding deal with the WB network for a series project targeted for fall 2004.

Padalecki has played Dean -- the sweet, handsome boyfriend of Rory (Alexis Bledel) -- on the WB's "Gilmore Girls" for the past three seasons. He is set to reprise his role in guest appearances on the show's upcoming fourth season.

This past development season, Padalecki played the title character in the WB drama pilot "Young MacGyver."

Padalecki's credits also include the Disney Channel's TV movie "A Ring of Endless Light."
