Gilmore Hunk Gets Spin-off, 04.01.03...

Jess Mariano (Milo Ventimiglia) isn't the only Stars Hollow resident getting a spin-off during the 2003-2004 season. Apparently with Jess gone, The WB sees it fit to have Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) leave the tiny Connecticut town as well.

The still untitled project has been greenlighted and is currently in the works to produce a pilot for fall 2003 consideration.

"We are very pleased and happy with the premise of this show," said Warner Bros. spokesman Alf Abett. "We feel that it will really draw a new demographic to our predominately teen network." However, he added that if the pilot fails to get picked up, Mr. Patterson will be welcomed back to the set of Gilmore Girls.

Details of the show have not been released, but Hollywood gossip columnist Gladys Friday is reporting that Luke begins to want more than smalltown life can offer and on a whim, heads to New York to open a chain of diners.

In unrelated entertainment news, Anna Nicole Smith has been signed to star in the sequel to Chicago, Michael Jackson is set to replace Scott Baio in the updated film version of Charles in Charge, and Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Kelly Clarkson are in negotiations to sign on as cast members for the television version of Dirty Dancing.

Just kidding, April Fool's! The above article has all been a made-up joke by the staff. There is no Scott Patterson spin-off, Anna Nicole is not starring in Chicago 2, Michael Jackson will not be remaking Charles in Charge, and the pop divas won't be playing Baby. hopes that no one was offended by the article; it was done in good fun. Remember, life is short, enjoy it while you can.
