(On a seperate note: Heidi we are hanging out in Announcements as you cant post new Threads in General. That's why we are crashing your space. Feel free to punt us over to General Smiley

This is me trying to remember how things work:

I totally get that, I feel the same way! I just want to respond like you would on Facebook with a like or an instant reply.  Going through reply by reply takes a little more thought.

Yeah to see Heidi! I just caught and found this whole thread.

Wow to see all of the catch up stories, I don't even know where to begin.

I'm going to do a little catchup post.  In 2009 as you can see from my sig my son was going on 2.  Now I have 2 my son is ALMOST 8 and my daughter is 4 1/2.  About me, it might sound crazy but in 2010 I ran for our local school board and won.  I rose the level of campaigning and I door knocked a good majority of our community pregnant.  I re-ran this last election and was the top vote getter.  Since that first win, I have also been able to serve on a couple other boards and one of state wide significance, so i KEEP pretty busy.  (And as always, don't judge my grammar here!)  In my spare time or for stress relief I have become quite the gym rat.  I love yoga and I have even done a few month long yoga challenges.  I enjoy running on the machines indoors, but have never been that fond of running outside. See when I 'run' I am also usually reading or once in awhile I treat myself to vege out and watch TV.  I'm so grateful my husband is super supportive of my school actives because I am often out every evening at meetings and school functions.  It's amazing how many people I have gotten to know and how I REALLY AM connected to our community.  Our community sometimes has that Stars Hollow feel and we just finished our own 'Firelight Festival'.  Complete with pizza eating, pie eating, sidewalk chalk drawing, kiss the pig winning and even bed races.  (Maybe I can credit ASP for falling in love with my own quirky community, yet she never really covered the public school system much....  Wow, she did write a lot about teachers and education, in regards to Chilton and Lane's experiences. I think those thoughts would belong there ...) Grin

It's amazing how you can just get lost here I really could just keep rambling on and on.

B- Loved reading your catch-up post. I'd really like to see some of those Elephant pictures.  And I had no idea about your blood disease.

Keith:  Pizza

Ang:  So glad most of us have kept up on Facebook and glad i KNEW most of your update.  Yet, i'D LOVE know know more about your [email protected][email protected]

I spent part of last week in Vancouver to watch U.S.A. vs. Nigeria at the Women's World Cup.  In the early, early days of the ORG Forum -- I think that's the right time-frame -- we used to get really into the World Cup.  Though, I can't remember if we used to follow the men's or women's.  Maybe both?  Regardless, we had fun coming together around a shared interest and cheering for our respective teams.  Happy memories.   Celebrate

Hey ladies and gents! Its that time of day again! Haha! I just started work and after 24 minutes I havent done any actual work...One of our clients is about to burst through the door at 9.00am and sweet talk me into giving him colour in sheets which always works when he calls me "my darling" hehe.

Kami 'pulling a B' takes extreme commitment to procrastination, if you are considering it then make sure you think about how much effort it takes Smiley

Mel I was wondering why you were at a board meeting until 10pm the other night! Amidst all of this you are still teaching? You are a super mum Smiley I'm very jealous of your firelight festival too! I live in a small town now but don't really have community ties. I like my little village in the hills though with its walking trails and small businesses.

My blood issues aren't really a disease but a genetic mutation that causes a metabolic disorder. It basically means I process and store too much iron (the opposite of aenemia) and the only way to maintain it is to give blood. At the moment I am reducing to normal levels so I go monthly but that will change to quarterly by the end of the year as I caught it early and my levels aren't dangerously high. The only symptom I have is fatigue. I donated on Sunday and I normally get a bit of a hangover the day after (seedy/nausea feeling) but I wasn't too bad this week as I have been smashing the berocca Smiley

I really wanted my blood type to be B Positive because that would be quite funny but I am O Positive which is just as good.

As far as elephant pics go, watch this space, I will find some for you Smiley

I'm in Quality Assurance at DISNEY! Disney Interactive Studios. Smiley I've wanted my foot in the door with them, and now I have it. Since it was already announced I can say that I am working on Disney Infinity 3.0. *cue in the Star Wars theme* It's very exciting, but we are in crunch time now. We have been doing 60 hours weeks for just over a month and I'm on the morning shift. 3am-1:30pm, and our normal shift is 5am-1:30pm.

Oh, and I do still procrastinate like crazy (lol) but there isn't much time for that there. Sad

Kami, that is super awesome and now I get how you get so much Disney access?!! Are you a programmer now?

And B you are so kind. I am no longer teaching, we had decided long before kids that once we had them I would stay at home.  My Board 'work' fits well and I am very active. Last night we had a pre meeting from 5:30-6:15 and then our regular meeting from 6:30-9:50... One of our longest yet.

While I type I am on my phone in bed while my hubby snores!  And hand are falling asleep....

Biggest understatement. I still sleep with a Pooh bear pillow pet I got from Disneyland....
The funny bit is that we've both lived in LA the four years i've been here and never met up!

Please forgive me, I must be getting old.Wink

Hey I just saw on Facebook that if kids write Disney characters they will get signed autographed pics (yes I just wrote that, I'll keep it to illustrate my need to go to bed).  Anyone know if that still exists?

Well Kami should be the font of all knowledge on that one, she probably has insider knowledge. Bet she is best friends with Sleeping Beauty and Mulan.
