Thanks to all that replyed to the Lane's father issue That thing really makes me a bit sad. The authors pictured Rory's life so blessed, and most of her friends weren't even close to get the chances Rory got. Dean had to give up hopes for quality education, Jess didn't meet his potential, Lane experienced no normal teen life and got pregnant in a truely sad way. Though Paris had no nice parents and that probably affected her a lot, she seemed happyly in love, with a bright future ahead. I guess that she is the only one who's been treated kindly by the authors among those who aren't Gilmores. My biggest complain about the show is exactly this one: I wish some of the great things that happened to Rory, could also be part of other charachter's life. There has been too big gap.

Thank you so much to WMUSHELL for answering my questions, esp. the Leslie Van Houten one.... now I totally get the joke! Phew, I'm so relieved, just knowing...for some reason I thought that girl was supposed to be someone they knew : .... The Mr. Kim thing is kinda funny/and annoying; its quirky when they have a character that is mysteriously referenced but never seen, but the story of Mr. Kim is so inconsistent that it just bugs me now... did he die? Is he still around but in the closet? They switch past and present tense when they speak of him, and sometime Lane speaks totally as if she has only had one parent always, or always a whole family, I'm only seeing the IRK in quirk.... hmmm... * I have that same problem with kIRK too sometimes :

GG is not short on inconsistencies, same as other lesser tv shows. I remember Amy saying in an interview that she wasn't really clear early on about Lane's father and finally just allowed all mention of him to go away. Regarding Kirk, the only thing not "GilmoreClear" to me is how a cute gal like Lulu is stuck on him!! Did Kirk put a trance on her? Come to think of it, in the episode of their first date (at Luke's diner), Kirk himself was totally puzzled that she liked him. I guess this will have to remain one of the great mysteries of our time...

haha its fine When the show was first being created his character was named Mick, but then eventually they decided to change it to Kirk instead. I don't know why, someone else might. But the first episode and possibly a couple following he was Mick.

Maybe strange question...
I just signed to a German board, not GG-related but nevertheless wanted to use a GG-sig, because first I love it and second I want to spread words for the G8M (yea, still!) everywhere.
Now I've been told that I may not use a photograph originally owned by WB or anybody else (like episode-photos), even if we edited them. This would be against law.
Is Germany so different to the US or are we doing something "illegal" here also??

It was only the first episode...pilot...where he was named "Mick." I don't know exactly why, but maybe it had something to do with "Mick" being a derogatory term for an Irish person? Maybe they wanted to be a little more P.C. when the show was just starting out?
