Haven't been around - what's new? I'm still studying - nothing quiet as cool as a sexy science - but just trying to hang in there. Thought I'd stop by quick and say hello! Much to my surprise and excitement there had been some action here! Can't get enough of that action!

I'll reply even though nothing exciting is happening here with me.  My life seems to be as dull as this place has been for awhile now.
Maybe now that you are back it will pick up. 

My two oldest are planning to move into new houses, well, new to them.  They are staying in the same cities that they now live in, just found something different that they like better. 

Well, I am excited that you are going to see Pink.  Make sure you come back and tell us about it.

That's good, new houses are nice. I love it when you first move into a new house and it's like an exciting wonderland of slightly different decor.
I will probably be moving soon, cuz I'm living wiht my Mum in our family's house at the moment, but it's being sold since my parents split up. They actually split up awhile ago, they're just lazy.

I'm still at Uni doing science. I managed to pass this semester, despite it being a cmoplete write-off for me. Ididn't do particulalry well, but I got through it. I start back at Uni on Monday (On holidays at the moment), which means gotta start beign able to think! Also back to circus and dancing. Yeah, I Started circus training, so when life gets hard, I can either run away to join the circus or run away to be one of Pink's dancers. It's suuuuper fun, and is making me even more buff.

Well, no new can be good news there Cheri! I'd rather have no news than lots of terrible news!

Since I was last posting, I've had 4 new tattoos, narrowly avoided rehab, have managed to learn to sing, write songs, and play piano. I am well on my way to becoming a Rockstar, I think!

I know what you mean.  I so totally wish that I could move into a new house.  I have been here off and on for far too many years.  I really would love a change, but I know that it won't happen.

Wow, it is taking a long time.  I remember when you first said that the house was going to be sold because they split up.  Well, I hope that you all find a nice new home.  Will you still be living with you Mum or finding a place of your own? 

How much longer will you be at uni?  Before you graduate, that is?  Biochem class.  Should I be glad that I live half way around the world?   It is nice that you are on holiday right now.  I was going to ask if you are still dancing, but you already answered that one.  Wow, circus, that sounds like fun.  Good fall back options, join the circus or be one of Pinks dancers. 

Yeah, I guess that no news can be good news, but it still makes for a boring life.  I think that the most exciting thing is that I finally have another appoint with the orthopedic surgeon to see about my knee.  That is set for Aug 6th.  It has been a big run around trying to get the appointment.  Partly because I am terrified, but I am having such a hard time getting around that I know that I have no choice but to get it taken care of. 

I'd say you have been very busy.  4 new tattoos and you are thinking about getting another?  What are they all of?  I am glad that you were able to avoid rehab.  Sounds like you could have another career choice with the piano, music writing and singing.  It should like that whole Rockstar thing could happen. 

By the way, don't worry about not getting back to me.  I wasn't sure if you would be checking your PMs and I somehow managed to loose you email address, but I did find it the other day.  I  was going to email you some time this week, it has just been nuts because Erin has been off of work for a week now and has been on the computer a lot and Mark was off today for some reason.  So didn't get on here until after dinner and here you are.  At any rate, it was more my fault than yours.  You must have thought that I didn't care about what was going on with you.  I'm sorry.

Yes, it has been extremely quiet around here.  I have mainly just been here doing the hangman puzzles with a couple of others just to have something to do. 

I hope that everyone sees that you are back and that it will pick up a bit.

Wow, that appointment has taken aaaaages! i remember you talking about it months ago! I hope they can help you out! Having bad knees is no fun, but at least your ears aren't on them, cuz then you'd have hearing problems too!
I'm not sure where I'll live, I'm too poor to live anywhere but with my Mum, but she's gonna be far away from Uni and I can't handle living wth my brother. So I'll see hwat happens, I guess!
I should be finished in about another year or so. I should have been done at the end of this year, but beacuse of the time I took to do nursing, I'm set back a bit.
I'm still doing dancing, but way less, wich is why I started circus cuz I was begining to get fat! Circus is sooo cool, I'm a master of the silks now! (Well, sort of)

I got the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland (the original drawing) on the back of my right thigh, I got Tim's initials low on my hip, his birth and death dates on my right forearm, and a heart, spade, club and diamond in a row across the back of my neck.

Don't worry about it, it's my fault, I should've replied to you, I didn't even check my pm's, there's jsut been an awful lot going on and it's all been pretty crazy around here, I'm really sorry, I should've come in here, but it woulda been really depressing for you guys to hear it.

Yes it is taking forever to get this stupid knee taken care of.  I wish that they just would have taken care of it when I was in the hospital about two years ago.  That is when, right before going into surgery they said that I had had at least one heart attack some time before and couldn't do the surgery only to find out that I never did have a heart attack.  Then there was a hard time finding a different doctor and going through more test just in case and appointments that had to cancelled for one reason or another and then not being able to get another apointment and so on.  I just hope that everthing goes well with this appointment.  It seems like so long away that I am afraid that something will come up to screw it up.  Yes, I am surely glad that my ears aren't on them.  I think my hearing is going, too, though.  Man it sucks getting old.

I hope that you will somehow be able to get a place by yourself close to the uni.  Maybe you can get roommates to help pay for an apartment or something. 
It sucks when there is a detour in your studies and it ends up taking longer then planned.  Well, at least you figured that out before you completed you studies like my niece did.  She completely changed what she wanted to do after graduating and has had to pretty much start all over again because most of the classes that she had already taken don't apply to what she wants to do now. 

I am glad that you are still dancing at least some.  You really do seem to be enjoying this whole circus thing.  How did you get into it?
Are the silks the material that comes down from the ceiling and that you can kind of fly in circles with?  That really does look like fun.

That is really sweet getting Tims initials and birth and death dates in rememberance.  It is so sad that he is gone.  I have had many family members die, but never a close friend let alone any friend. 

There hasn't been any of the old-school around that I have noticed.  Mainly the newer gang.  I don't think Mel has been here in a while.  It has been way to quiet.  I actually wasn't going to come around any more, but I am really into the hangman thing.  That is usually the only place I go, well, that and the LG/LG appreciation thread.  While she was doing Guys and Dolls, I would try to bring over the stuff that I found regarding it and then anything else I found along the way.  I probably wouldn't have gone into any of the other threads today if I hadn't gotten the PM from you.

I don't have twitter or face book or any of that other stuff.  I don't want to put all of my information out there, plus I am on the computer too much as it is.

Well, I am going to have to get going.  I have a bunch of stuff that I want to get done before I head off to bed so I will try to catch you again another day.  I will still email you within the next couple of days.  There are some questions that I have but I don't want to go into them here.  It is really great having you back here and it was really great talking to you tonight.

Oh man, that sucks. I mean, waiting for surgery is one thing but actually being there, ready and waiting and have it not happen must be soooooo annoying!!!
If it helps, my hearing went when I was about 7. I got a disease in the bones of my left ear, and had to have them all taken out and my eardrum reconstructed, so now my bones are plastic, and my eardrum is mostly cartilage from my tragus.

That must be so frustrating figuring out after doing an entire degree!! I'm still glad I did the nursing stuff, cuz I learned quite a bit. And even though I'm getting into music now, I'm glad I'm still doing science, I love it, and plan on finishing my degree even if I can make it as a rockstar.

Um, I'm not sure about flying in circles But yeah, they hang from the ceiling, and you do wraps and poses and drops and stuff. Tons of fun!
Yeah, it's wierd, I'd managed to get to about 16 having no one I really knew die, since then I've lost two grandparents, both of Helen's parents, one of Helen's grandparents, a couple of friends I didn't know *that* well, and one of my best friends in the world. It's bizarre. Never rains but it pours. Oh, and my old dog, and three rats.

That sucks that there's no old-school peeps around still! We had such a super awesome gang here!! *tear*

Yeah, being told to go home after being in the pre-op room (or what ever it is called) in nothing but one of those crazy hospital gowns for nearly four hours was not one of my most enjoyable moments.  Especially when not only was I not getting my surgery, but I was all worried because I was told that I had had atleast one heart attack, maybe more.  Needless to say, I am not going back to that doctor or hospital.  This new doctor comes highly recommended by a couple of friends who have had knee replacement surgery done by him and another doctor.  I hope that I get the same results as my friends.  Wow, that sounds terrible about your ear. 

I hope that you do make it as a rockstar if that is what you really want to do.  It will be great to have your degree to fall back on, too.

Okay, I know that I don't like really hot temps, but I am really bummed about our summer.  For several weeks now it has been in the high 60s low 70s F around here.  I guess I should be thankful that we are having this cool weather.  My sister is in the 100s in LA.  Now that really sucks and I forsure don't want that. 

I have seen some stuff on TV from exercise classes that are now being done using the material hanging from the ceiling.  They do a bunch of the 'tricks' by wrapping arms and/or legs and tumbling out of it (kind of scary to watch, I'd probably fall out and smack my face on the floor), but they also wrap themselves somehow and then kind of run in a circle and bend their legs so that they go in a circle a foot or two off of the floor.  Not flying in big circles up high.  Maybe they were just goofing around with that part

Yeah, I really do miss all of the old gang.  It just isn't the same.
