I watched the L Word for awhile when it first started but didn't stick with it.  There aren't many shows that I do stick with.  I seem to get bored with TV shows pretty easily.  Gilmore Girls, once I found it, was one that I had to watch every week.  There are only a had full of shows that I really have to watch.  The rest I just watch from time to time or not at all.

only watch a few shows regularly...

Heidi That is C-R-A-Z-Y!!!! How spooky that at the very moment on The Fringe that someone's brain was getting scrambled, your monitor went out!! Were you spooked or freaked?? I haven't seen that yet, but have heard about it. I hope that you're able to get a new one soon.

Ugh, it seems that finances and the economy are on everyone's mind these days. I say 'ugh' because, while I take my finances very seriously and hope that others do as well, and wish that things would start looking up for the economy...I sometimes get talked out about those topics. I work in the area of employee benefits for work so work with 403b accounts, retirement, etc. and also work in HR so deal a lot with the job market in the health care area specifically. While it's not where I want to be forever, I'm enjoying it for now. Smiley I'm always looking for more tips on saving money and investing so I'd be interested in talking to you more about this, Heidi. I just have to clear my head and really get into the right frame of mine. I think the thing I don't like about the topic and talking about it to others is the negativity in the outlook of so many. I don't blame people necessarily, but it gets exhausting after so long. I do find the outlook interesting though...and would be happy to talk it further if you, or anyone else, would like. I don't claim to be an expert in the area but try to stay educated and informed as best as possible. Smiley

Cheri - still loving The L Word, I'm going to go watch it now while falling asleep. I don't normally get too into the shows that most everyone else gets into, at least not right away, but eventually, I find myself really liking some. It's nice because by the time I find them and get into them, the DVD box sets are out and I can purchase them and watch it straight through and enjoy all at once. The bad thing, it costs quite a bit of money to buy them and I want them all right away so I can continue the viewing. Like right now, I'll be ready for season 2 of The L Word by this weekend and will get it. Then, I have to wait because the rest of the seasons are not on sale at this point. Maybe soon? Wink Hope you're doing well!!

I'm off to bed for now though...hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

I finally quit nursing.

I couldn't handle it anymore, it was so depressing, and so not what I wanted to do, so I finally quit! I'll go back to being a science nerd, thank you!

Oh my...wow...hurray for liberation!!! I can't say that I wasn't shocked to hear of your newest decision, Kate! But it sounds like it was the right one to make and that you're happier now that you're not doing the nursing thing. I'm happy that you're a sexy science nerd now! Wink How the heck else are ya?

Haven't been around - what's new? I'm still studying - nothing quiet as cool as a sexy science - but just trying to hang in there. Thought I'd stop by quick and say hello! Much to my surprise and excitement there had been some action here! Can't get enough of that action! Wink

off to cover myself in......books, papers, and other various sorts of texts. Oh, how fun!
