so how have u all been in the last few month 
I was kind of fine with a lot to do and no time.

Jumping from one 5 Weeks - relationship to the next and a lot of uni work 

bottom line : love life sucks and uni too.

I don't know, a menagerie of beautiful women does not sound too bad to me right now !  How is everyone doing?  I am now an official home-owner!  Let me tell you, I love it, but all the cleaning and all the initial upfront costs really stink!  I truly belive that everyone is out for themselves and don't care about others, haha!  The previous owner had a very stinky dog, and she agreed to replace the carpet in the master bedroom.  I said, sure!  Well, come to find out after I moved in, she replaced the carpet, NOT the carpet pad...which has all the pet smells in it.  Ugh, so now I have to find someone to pull up the new carpet, rip out the old pad, put in new pad, and replace the new carpet.  The thing is...most places give you pad for free!  Oh the joys of home ownership!  I am eventually just going to get all the carpet in the house replaced.  I pulled up a corner to see if there were hardwood floors underneath...nope...it looks like new carpet is in the works!  It needs some paint, and a washer/dryer...and a new heat pump, but other than that I really like it so far...haha!  I LOVE my stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, and I already have most of the wallpaper stripped in the house.  Whee!!!!!!

Rupe, seems like you have a few new house dramas on your hands! And now you have to pay for disposing of her rank carpet? How rude!! By the way - the technical words are underlay and hot water service, lol. You Americans and your funny words :-P I plan to buy a really really old house in France or a brand new house around where I live now...or both! At least you know brand new houses are clean!

Eww, I just found a cat hair in my lipgloss!!! Hahah. I guess I had one up my nose last night so I shouldnt be surprised, they show up everywhere!

what in the world are you talking about?  Underlay?  Is that the Aussie way to say "carpet pad"?  Hot Water Service?  Are you referring to the 'heat pump'?  A heat pump acts as a furnace/air conditioner.  It does not have anything to do with water.  Sorry, just curious as to what you were referring to.  You funny "down under" folks and all your slang   I was really hoping for some beautiful hardwood floors under the carpet, but it was just a concrete slab   The painting has begun!  My girlfriend and I started doing the primer in the laundry room.  So far so good, but it sure smells funky, but on the plus side, if you breathe enough fumes, you feel funny, haha!

What are you all up to this weekend?  I am going to my best friends 'Master of Fine Arts' Gallery show in southern Illinois.  Its a long drive, but it will be nice to see him and his family. 

BTW...I, an official guy (last time I checked anyway), have saved this thread from the depths of page two-dom!!!

Carpet pad is what we call underlay - it lays under the carpet...

Heat Pump...well, generally Australian homes dont have furnesses, some homes have ducted heating (my old rental did) but when I wanted to turn it on and off all I had to do was flick a switch on the wall in my loungeroom. I never saw any furness thingy. Most Australian homes dont have a basement either! If we were to have basements where I live they would flood because we are right on sea level. Another thing we dont have is attics. "Where do you store stuff then?" in the backyard shed, lol.

The heating and air in our house is through roof mounted reverse cycle systems and two canara heaters. Oh and to clarify - the hot water system I refer to is basically that, the unit that heats up our water for showers and what not...you do have hot showers in America dont you???

Hey Conrad and Byder! I don't know Mikey yet I don't think...but hello to you too! I'm off to go finish reading a few posts, this thread is so intriguing...so exciting and fun! It's nice to see that there's more to life than just being serious! Hope you're all doing well! It's FRIDAY and that's a beautiful thing!

I'll go finish reading now so I can actually contribute something worth-while next time!

Well Mel, you are way too kind.  I'm not leaving here just cause a smelly boy says we are invading their space .  For the longest time B and I kept this thread alive way back in the day, so I'm kind of feeling like we've earned the right to stick around and keep these boys in line.  hehehhe and you guys thought this was the one place you could come and not be nagged, right!?
