I may not be a guy, but hi. I think it's a great thing that on this new forum the ratio male/female is about 1:5. Finally some more guys that are man enough to be here. Thanks for re-opening this thread...we almost forgot about it.

My brother'll sometimes watch it with me in passing Smiley. He thinks its funny as well, and kind of has a thing for Rory, heh. (He's the same age as Alexis).

For a second there, I thought I was an "old" guy who loves Gilmore Girls. But it appears as if, I may be one of the younger ones. I'm 22, and if your reading this Lauren, don't let that be a turn down, if we ever meet.  Grin

My husband won't admit it, but he's also a Gilmore Guy.  He watches the show with me every week and even when he's away.  He didn't start watching until season 5, but he made me get all of the dvds to catch him up.

I'm a Gilmore guy and I'm not ashamed at all to say it. Sure the title implies this is a girly girly show, but it is so much more than that. It has excellent, witty dialogue, interesting story lines and great acting. I actually started watching this show because of my sister. I would always complain about how fast they talk and how girly the storyline must be, but after less than two weeks I was hooked and have been ever since. Cheers to ASP for this great show ^_^

Well I'm 23.

Like I said in the character thread, one reason why I watch Gilmore Girls is because it reminds me of home and myself.

The small town atmosphere, college/journalism....

Also Gilmore Girls is a show who looks at life with a sense of humor and I like that.

Amen, brother. I think that it's outlook on life is much more fundamental to its appeal (and to its writing) than the fact that its core relationship is between a mother and daughter (as lovable as they are!).

I was wondering if I could ask of the other Gilmore Guys (and, of course, any interested Girls) what you think of the portrayal of our gender on the show? Accurate, stereotypical, idealized from a female perspective? Time to represent, ye of the Y chromosome.

Great to read all this! A guy-friend of mine is also hooked, which is probably because (besides the fact that the show is simply great) he talks as fast as the Girls. Like me ...
