I like that ending. I wouldnt nessasarily like logan married, it would be cute, but with dean, would be nicer.

I voted never because that is what I want, though I hope 8 season at the very least.  It would be nice if they could do 10--just as many as Friends.

if it has to end wich it does because it would lose its effect when lorelai is 90
it should end with 10 seasons! making it really long.

hi i'm new here Smiley but i think it will end in a normal GG way

LL will be waiting to pick up Rory from her last day at yale, she'll try and smuggle random Yale antiques out and some how have to get that mattress back in the building, they drive home to Stars Hollow and the suggestion of coffee will be made, they pack and head into the diner, Like has his back to them and he turns and we see a baby in the carrier strapped to him, while he juggles with coffee refills, he'll make a quip about LL needing to take their son/daughter and she'll answer in her perfect Gilmore girl response. Jess will come throu the side door, holding another baby at arms length, and complain how this is not what he came to stay for, he passes the baby to LL and joins them at the table, luke comes around the counter and joins them, Ll's mobile will ring, Luke will roll his eyes as the camera pans out slow to show the Mobiles welcome sign, and the camera will continue to pan out and out the diner door the door closes and we get a slow ariel look of the town and it will end. Cry

I just think they need to end it just as it started. enough to realise that everyone is how they should be, no dramatic climax (ooh dirty) Just the gilmore gilrls in their natural habitat

well thats my dream anyway Grin

I am with many people in this forum i personaly do not think the show should ever end but in a terrible case of events i think there should be at least twins, Luke & Lorelai should be married and Rory should be engaed to DEAN!!! ::)I really don't think the show will ever end unless some videl person in the show dies(which more than likely won't happen) I love this show and i don't want it to end!!!

The show needs to end happy and peaceful, and low-key, in my opinion. Rory has graduated, they are having coffee at the diner, one makes a little funny comment, cute funny response from the other, pans out to a wide shot of Stars Hollow with "there she goes...." playing, just as the pilot opened.

I like the low key endings.. I've realized those make a bigger impact than the trumped up grand finales. I'm going to get stoned and beaten for this, but I want the show to end with Lorelai single. I don't think Lorelai need's any guy to make her who she is. She's an amazing, independent woman, and I want her to stay that way.. I liked the friendship LL had, but its just not translating into romance for me. Seeing Lorelai single at the end, I think would be the ultimate exclamation point: this girl can do *anything* on her own.

Rory? I'd love to see her with Logan, travelling the world as a journalist. But the very last scene HAS to be with the two Lorelai's... they have a beautiful relationship on which the show is built around

And finally, I want the elder Gilmore girls, Emily and Lorelai, to reach some reconciliation or understanding. All these years they wanted the best for Lorelai and Rory, and for each, it came out in a different way. I think a reconciliation between Emily and Lorelai would provide some real closure.

I think there are some clues already (that I won't mention) about it coming to an end.  I also think it should be low key.  Maybe.. after Rory graduates from Yale, her and Lorelai are having a last cup of coffee at the diner before Rory has to move to another state to work at a big newspaper.  Rory leaves and the last shot is just Lorelai walking out of the diner and the same "There She Goes..." song is playing.

Whatever the final episode is, I think it'll be great though.  Every episode has been awesome and relaxed somewhat so I highly doubt they would make it some dramatic, huge thing that doesn't seem like it fits with the rest of the show.

I don't believe anyone has given this idea - The Wedding of Logan and Rory with a funny ending line, I say Logan ends the show with something like this:

Logan: (turns to Rory after giving her the kiss) Time for another adventure, Ace.

I'm not so sure I'd like to see Lorelai single after however many seasons GG lasts.  She has been alone for a long time, and I think she has proven her independence, and clearly doesn't need a man in her life.  We've seen her go through so many dud dates, and some nice ones, that I just think singledom would very sad for her, especially now that Rory has left the nest.  While living alone isn't the end of the world, I think that after all Lorelai has experienced, she decides to spend her time with a loving partner who allows her to be her witty, wonderful self.

However, I think Rory should be single at the end of the series.  She has never really been independent since the series began, and I think she has a long way to go before she is able to decide who will make a good lifetime partner for her.  She needs to travel, work, and live.  I would be very sorry to see her end up with a partner so young, especially if that person wasn't really right for her, and was used merely for a happy ending.

This would be a great ending, but that's just my opinion.

Ending :
Luke and Lorelai do not wed, but find out they are preganant
Rory graduates from Yale and gets a job writing for a newspaper
Logan asks Rory to marry him and she say yes.
