Summary: Rory (Alexis Bledel) runs into Dean (Jared Padalecki) for the second time at the Dragonfly Inn and gets a glimpse of his new life. Later, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory decide to spend a day window-shopping together at the mall, but they run into Emily (Kelly Bishop) and are caught up in her wild shopping spree. When Lorelai questions her mother on her out-of-control spending, Emily breaks down and admits that she is getting back at Richard (Edward Herrmann), who has been ignoring her to concentrate on his new business. Meanwhile, although Lane (Keiko Agena) is excited to be moving into her first apartment with two of her bandmates, she is also hurt by her mother's coldness.

I love this epidsode! Lorelai and Rory still actually like each other! And I love the Lorelai/Emily scenes. The food court is my favorite! Emily eating a hamburger with knife and fork was funny. Definetly one of my favorite epidsodes!  |

I LOVED this episode too! I thought it was funny when Lorelai and Rory decided they didn't like window shopping! And then they saw Emily there and tried too hide from her,but that obviously didn't work! LOL!

i love the episode its really really funny, and i hate lindsay because shes mean and ugly, LOL! DEAN LOOKS REALY CUTE IN THAT EPISODE !! ITS REALLY FUNNY WHEN EMILY EATS THAT HAMBURGER WITH A KNIFE AND FROK!!lol

I loved the episide but i thought the mall was a little weird i have never seen them do fun stuff outside of town (theres a special event like every day) Usually they would just go to the movies or lukes. i dont any one else find it weird?

I loved this episode because it showed a different side of Emily. The really scary thing was that I liked Emily in this episode. The best part was when she was admiring Lorelai.

I really loved this epsoide as well. Emily does finally see that Lorelai really is a great mother. I don't think Emily is that bad I think she just puts up a brick wall and does'nt know how to talk to her daughter. |

This episode was great! I'm glad that we are finally getting some nice scenes between Emily and Lorelai and not the usual screaming..that was really sweet how Emily was admiring Lorelai.
Hiding from Emily was SO funny and so was Emily eating finger food with a knife and fork! lol

This was a really good episode. I really loved the whole mall bit. Emily having a major freak out then being shocked at and appalled by the food court lol. Also it was nice to see Emily FINALLY compliment Lorelai on something she did.

Emily in the food court was so funny just seeing her eat food like that made me laugh. Lorelai and Rory hiding from her was so funny LOL!! One of my favorite moments was when Rory and Lorelai were following Emily and she suddenly stopped and Lorelai ran into the back of her and said "Your break lights were out" I just laughed so hard I thought that line was so funny.  |

I thought this eposide was really funny! How they just ran into Emily like that! It was really nice to see Emily break down in the food court like that, because it shows us a diferent side of Emily!! Ok, confession time, I really like Emily!! I think she means well, and yes she overeacts a lot!! But she is a very good person deep down! So watching her break down like that was ....how should I put it.......refreashing!

So I was just watching this episode today, just thought I'd pick a random one to watch but the end with Emily and Lorelai talking really interested me. Lorelai told Emily that she has to talk to Richard about whatever is upsetting her, even if he's distracted she needs to make him talk to her. So, man, if we're going to say Luke needs to listen to his own advice, I guess Lorelai needs to listen to herself too!

it makes me kind of sad when emilyis buying all that stuff for no reason
i can tell she's on the verge of a breakdown
and there's nothing you can do to stop it
i love how rory and lorelai are just like
" what do we do now?"
